Arkansas loses to UL-Monroe as a 30 point favorite. SEC! SEC! SEC!
I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY
I really miss John L. Smith. That is all.
Can anyone find a link to the press conference? It should be epic.
leading Arkansas to a stellar loss
Because you can't have one without the other.
Now that is an embarassment.
I believe I heard that UL Monroe hasn't had a winning season since joining the FBS?
This is true. They joined div 1-a in 1994. Last winning season was 1993. They've had two 6-6 seasons though in 2007 and 2009. This is a bad loss.
They only had one other win over a BCS autoqualifier, and that was Alabama in 2007, when Bama went 7-6.
Arkansas was up 2 tds' when that happened. The Hogs also lost two other starters.
He played defense...
Footballs power conference indeed
That sound you just heard was John L slapping himself.
Eeeessss Eeeee Seeee
I miss John L...
I cannot wait for the SEC slappies in sports media to spin this loss as proof of the league's dominance.
They wil acknowledge the "heroic" effort put forth by a team competing in an "SEC environment" and then diminish the win with details of player injuries and/or turnovers causing the outcome.
They will then show that Arkansas outplayed their opponent statistically and though the scoreboard may prove different the SEC was, really, the winner here.
I heard Arkansas got out-gained by 200 yards. LOL
...who wants a preview of TWIS Tears Award can head on over to an Arkansas message board.
is going to be great. Between the Arkansas, Nebraska, & Wisconsin losses; Penn State's kicking heartbreak; & Missou and Texas A&M's harsh welcomes to the SEC there is going to be a ton of great stuff for TWIS this week. I can't wait.
So yea....I'll take my 6 point win
AT HOME! lmfao. Hope Mizzou pulls it off against Georgia, too. I know South Carolina, Arrr-kansas, and Georgia are overrated this year, but until they lose they stay in the top 10. *facepalm* If we were top 10 and lost to the best in the country and dropped to 19 then they should go unranked now having lost at home to a Sun Belt team.
NW is about to beat Vandy. Not crazy...but B1G vs SEC, none-the-less.
A win against the SEC is a win for America
What's a NW?
Is Michigan MG?
Tyler Wilson was hurt. He plays every position. Paaaawwwwlllll, the refs were against Arkansas.
Remember how Brent Musberger kept saying how Alabama was not going to get tested until they play Arkansas?
I guess not so much...
We're making that a verb/adjective now? Nice! I'd give you an upvote if I had the points to do so! I love seeing an SEC team choke.
Anyone notice how ARK was #8 this week? If the #8 team next week loses, there's apparently a curse on the slot in the standings this year.
I had the very same thought last night watching the overtime. Regardless, I am thankful to have football back so that we can have such inane discussions.
John L Smith still coaches the same as allways
Not always. JLS was a very successful coach until he went to MSU. Some coaches who excel at lower levels of football just don't seem to have what it takes to win at a major program.
Just an FYI, UL-Monroe beat Alabama in Nick Saban's first year back in 2007. This loss will not dent the SEC's image one bit. No one talks about that Bama loss anymore. It will be forgotten by years end when the media is talking up how awesome the SEC is.
they will blame it on John L. Smiths time in the Big Ten.
God Bless Johnelle Smith, and God Bless America.
John L left the field without shaking hands with the ULM coach. Integrity at its finest.
Yeah I was watching the end of the game and the ULM coach was looking around for him but he had bolted already.
To be fair to John L. he probably forgets that someone was crazy enough to allow him to be the HC.
Suck it, SEC.
Arkyyyyyy Nooooo to the SEC
Did anyone see the state trooper hugging the ULM coach after the winning touchdown? lmao
ESPN of course has the Wisconsin loss next to Arkansas on the front page as "upsets". Becuase you know, losing to another BCS school clearly the same as losing to the Sun Belt...
yes because I'm sure if another BCS top 15 team lost to Indiana it would be big news also. Fact is that game was a big upset too.
Wisconsin was an 8 point favorite, Arkansas was a 30 point favorite. Big difference there.
Once, twice, three times a loser?
We could move up two or even three spots in the polls despite struggling today. I love college football.
Man did Wilson take a beating. They better get their protection together before they see Bama next week.
Auburn looked horrible today...I wouldn't be shocked if ULM pulled off two shockers in a row.
