For the LAST TIME it's Isaac!

And Derrick Green isn't trending well either since he favors Clemson.

And Isaac is the more talented back.

And this is recruiting with real people, these aren't just some chess pieces you can pick up.

Basically your whole post was annoying.

Dammit. Didn't he just say he was done with visits? Oh well, it doesn't help our chances but I guess he should do whatever he needs to be sure in his decision to commit to Michigan. :)

I think this is a last chance visit for USC. I think he'll decide shortly afterwards, but I think Michigan will get another visit before hand as well. Don't believe a lot of what you hear regarding his recruitment, because this is a kid who said he wasn't taking anymore visits just two days ago. He's probably sending mixed signals, because some kids don't like anyone knowing too much about them.

This is a new Joliet Catholic era. When I was a kid, the school was a pipeline to ND and kids didn't even want to take visits to SC. Now you've got Isaac visiting there twice!? Amazing stuff.

And I sure hope you're right about how he wants to keep his recruiting private and that some of the public information might be inaccurate.

Think the qoute was "I won't be taking anymore new visits." From all I can gather, the general idea is that he favors Michigan and just wants to see USC one more time. I don't like Mrs. Isaac going on the trip though, as mom's can have a HUGE impact on recruiting... my momma tells me to do somehting its going down... just a question of how much grief I get before I change my mind to the right way.

Someone on ESPN had an interesting take on this situation - They compared it to EJ Levenberry. FSU secretly seen as leader, flirted with UM, really liked UM, parents like UM & academics. But in the end, staying in ACC & situation was better at FSU. I do get the same feeling on this situation - I think Ty is flirting with the idea of USC, obviously likes them, but I think he'll end up Blue in the end. Can't remember where I saw this (I think something TomVH posted), but Ty has some quotes about how some coaches tell you what you want to hear, which he sees through & other coaches are honest. This was in middle of his tired of recruiting talk.

I think he goes to USC, hunkers down and makes a decision...and he ends up with Wings on helmet!

I'm going to keep telling myself the glass is half full.  He said he doesn't like the recruiting process and he's down to two schools.  Maybe he just wants to get some more info on USC and get his mom's opinion before officially eliminating them.  Ty is just being thorough and wanting to make sure Michigan is the best choice for him.

Yes, I feel a little better now.  Yes, I feel a little better now.  Yes......

I'll be an optimist here, and say that this is his last visit just to make sure he does NOT want to go to USC - his Moms would have to travel far and wide to make his games. Maybe he will commit to Michigan so she can just go down 94 to Ann Arbor for UM home games, and basically make the bulk of his other B1G games as well.

Plus, look at the OL depth we have amassed over the past two years - and I am sure we will continue that trend into 2014 and on as well. Why would you NOT want to run behind that line??

Here is to wishful thinking. Who's with me?

EDIT: Wow, Elmer and I on the same page at the same time.

Everyone keeps repeating that any good RB should come to Michigan b/c we've had two good O-line recruiting classes.  Well, so has USC!  Last year they took two 5* O-linemen.  Jeez Louise, by that reasoning -- "go where there are good linemen" -- the kid SHOULD go to USC.

It would be great if he would just pick Michigan today, of course, but I don't think visiting USC again is a deviation from the thoroughness that he's already been putting into making his decision.

"I have no timetable," he said. "I will wait until it feels right. It could be tomorrow or Feb. 2 when I get a gut feeling, when the light bulb goes on. I haven't narrowed my list. Sometimes circumstances change. I don't want to rule out anyone. It's still early. It's April. I have until February."

"I took unofficial visits in March, when it worked out for my parents," he said. "Now my visits are out of the way. Nothing else is planned now. To be honest, I don't know if I will visit any more schools. Some have asked me to visit. But if I don't have any interest, I don't want to waste either side's time. If the schools I have visited, I'd be perfectly fine to go to either one of them."

Two quotes in article about subject.

Doesn't quite jive with visits out of way- but also makes it clear panic is not necessary due to visit

Looks like on the surface that the path to the field and being the go-to RB is quicker at USC.  Fitz will has another year and there are some guys who could take time ahead of hm at Michigan.  That is not a bad thing but maybe the thought is where does he feel he has the best shot at high visability and 3 and out?  Don't know.

He has size, speed, and hands; maybe he could be an Urban Meyer back/wideout on the field at the same time as Toussaint. With our ever-increasingly-talented O-line, he would be a top offensive weapon, even in Toussaint's last year.

Checking out USCs RB recruiting they are pretty thin (for them at least). In the last two classes they have taken one 4-star RB and one 3-star RB. If you go back three classes they signed one more 5-star and two more 4-stars, but the 5-star was Dillon Baxter, who didn't last very long.

...that this news should not cause Michigan fans to panic.   Isaac may have genuine interest in USC, but no kid can even begin to entertain the possibility of going halfway across the country for school without their mother seeing the school they may be attending.  I personally don't believe this is a case of Isaac trying to convince his mother to let him go to USC...taken at face value, it simply appears that USC can't even seriously be in the discussion without mom at least seeing the school and what they have to offer. We still have advantages over USC at this time that are hard ignore (i.e., proximity to home, family atmosphere, top recruiting class, familiarity with the program). If anything, this sounds like the Levenberry situation, except we are playing the role of FSU in this situation, as we have been recruiting Ty for quite a while, whereas USC just jumped in on him a few months ago.  USC appears to be making up some ground, but I still believe that Michigan is in good shape.
