This list is completely arbitrary and not a genuine analysis of the relative merits of state fossils.

| 3 days 16 hours ago | Better for us if |
Better for us if Brandon doesn't even pick up the phone when Adidas calls to negotiate in 3.5 years. |
| 1 week 6 days ago | That was |
That was the second half of my point. The reason no one allows you to pick your own channels like that is because the cable company wants that extra $40 per month from you. So until they are forced to change their tiered strategy, they have no incentive to do as you suggested. However, with the interenet, netflix, on-demand streaming, etc., it does look more and more like our days under the tiered system are numbered. |
| 1 week 6 days ago | "Why doesn't some..." |
"Why doesn't some company set up a deal where you pay a premium for the 5 channels you actually watch?" Are you suggesting that you want to pay more money for less channels or that cable companies should accept lower monthly payments becuase you only want to watch 5 channels? |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | Yes, I would agree |
Yes, I would agree with both of those statements (although most beloved alternate uniform is not exactly a high bar at Michigan), but I still think you are wrong. The jersey's are terrible looking and people would feel that way regardless of whether we won or lost that game. Does it add to the negative feelings about the jersey's that we didn't win in them? Sure, but I don't think that is the determinative fact. Personally, I dislike them because the maize and blue stripes on the predominately white jersey look way too busy, especially when paired with the stripes on our helmets. I felt that the sugar bowl alternates were a much better version because there were fewer stripes on the shoulder, and the stripes were only blue (more similar to UTL, which only had maize stripes, not maize and white stripes). TL;DR version: You are right in feeling that the loss to MSU exacerbates the negative feelings surrounding the bumblebees, but you are wrong to think that is the only reason people don't like them. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | UTL uniforms were |
UTL uniforms were different than the bumblebees. I think they still sucked, but even if someone else did like them it wouldn't prove your point. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | Ha, Oops |
Ha, Oops. I blame it on my jittery coffee fingers. |
| 3 weeks 5 days ago | Yes. This. |
Yes. This. Not every new uniform is stupid. Not every team can keep the exact same uniforms for all of eternity. Criticizing every single uniform change makes fans look like the boy who cired wolf. Now when something truly terrible comes out (i.e. Adidas zubaz basketball), the complaints get brushed off as old people just being haterz. |
| 4 weeks 5 days ago | Dan Palombizio |
Dan Palombizio is an arrogant ass. Back when I was still in high school, he moved his older son from Michigan City to New Buffalo High School in Michigan, and became the head coach to try to make him into a superstar. He ended up being a decent class D player on a mediocre team. I have no idea if Chris is a good player or not, but It doesn't surprise me at all to see his dad outspokenly thinking that he is being underused and needs to change schools. |

I was just being a smartass. I know the situations are completely different. |

Dee Hart. Boom, thought of one.

| 5 weeks 4 days ago | One thing I haven't |
One thing I haven't heard anyone say about THJ or GRIII yet is that (presumably) neither of them have a major financial need to leave because of their fathers' wealth. Sure they want to make their own money, but there is no rush to support their families. So if they choose, they can afford to stay an extra year and develop into more NBA ready players from day one as opposed to improving their weaknesses on the fly at the next level. I know there is a big difference between first and second round money, but it is worth it to drop a few draft spots and sacrifice some money on your rookie contract if it means you are a more productive player early in your career and can earn a solid, long-term deal on your second contract. |

I'm not sure I get the joke? I did say what I feel. I feel uncomfortable. |
| 5 weeks 5 days ago | People here |
People here don't want to hear it, but certain aspects of this video made me feel uncomfortable about him as well. I still hope he chooses Michigan and everything works out though. |

Can we please make a t-shirt with this slogan and sparty pointing like smokey the bear?

| 6 weeks 17 hours ago | In re: your second point |
In re: your second point, I totally agree. I would also add that in situations like that there is no way for the refs to avoid changing the game. In my opinion a game changing no-call has the potential to be just as meaningful as a game changing call. Syracuse fans would have been just upset had there been no call at all and Michigan escaped with the rebound. |

It's on the the front page of ESPN.com. I'd say that is pretty public. |
| 6 weeks 3 days ago | Wow, great stuff Ace. |
Wow, great stuff Ace. A few weeks ago you wrote a piece about watching the Bulls play as a child and I said it was the best thing you had written for Mgoblog so far. I said so far because I thought you could top it in the future, and you just did. I've always felt your contributions seemed so enthusiastic that you were sort of the McGary of the Mgostaff, that enthusiasm is even more impressive now that we know the extraneous circumstances. Keep up the great work and get some well deserved rest. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | I couldn't see it |
I couldn't see it from the first few angles, but I didn't know what I was looking for at that time. I think they only used the worst angle once and then only showed players' reactions after that.
Edit: Clearly I am blind or wasn't paying close enough attention. Good for me I guess. Carry on. |
| 7 weeks 1 day ago | They only showed |
They only showed teh replay of the actual injury once. |
| 7 weeks 5 days ago | UNC |
UNC will stay inside the Carolina family too. Roy has a few young assistants who have recently moved on to other head coaching jobs. I have also heard speculation that Hubert Davis could may be a possibility if he is ready when the time comes. |
| 8 weeks 1 day ago | The website |
The website for that bar says it has been owned and operated by the same person for over 30 years, so I'm pretty sure the name has nothing to do with Webber. |
| 8 weeks 5 days ago | Great piece Ace |
Great piece Ace, this might the best writing you have done for Mgoblog so far. |

Nearly all great coaches are extremely stubborn. |

Oh dear god! I had forgotten all about the "CC" tag until now. That was a really ugly time around here. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | I found the site originally |
I found the site originally in summer 2006 when I was randomly looking for Michigan football video clips to try to make my own highlight films with. I didn't come back again for a few years, when RR was hired, and I was trying to consume as much info about him as possible. I lingered as a reader for a little over a year until I finally gave in and made a user account. |
| 10 weeks 3 days ago | I have noticed the same thing |
I have noticed the same thing from those three all year. With Stauskas it tends to happen when he has been queit for a long stretch, and I feel like he is just forcing the issue too hard so that he feels involved in the game. With Tim and Trey I have a hard time determining when it is selfish, and when that is how Beilein is instructing them to play. |

The athletic department should have stepped up and prevented these from even being sold to the public. The fact that they exist anywhere is really embarassing. |
