He'd be able to play right away at USC because it is lean position for them. He could probably play right now if the NCAA would grant him a variance. There are a couple incumbents but they aren't pile movers and aren't as complete as Isaac.  This is not a good development.

I tend to think that him visiting USC does not mean things are over for Michigan.  It could be matter of covering all of his bases to make sure he is making the right choice.  That choice could be making sure USC is the school he wants, but it could be making sure he still favors Michigan.  I hope one way or another it moves his decision up so we know where we stand.

It seems like Isaac likes UM but wants something more in a school and is looking for that total package.

Just off of reading the tea leaves, I'd say this is going USC's way.  Two trips across the country are not cheap, I can't think of any reason to do this except to go ahead and get this all over with.  This is likely because I'm a cheapskate.

Deveon Smith and Wyatt Shallman are going to be really good, I think. So it's hard for me to get too disappointed, beyond the fact that I like UCLA and I hate seeing good players going to USC.

I frankly see the last 10 months of this year going a lot like the last 10 weeks of last year with us missing out on most of the supers we are in on down the stretch and then signing a few solid plan B guys to fill out the class.  It just seems like under Hoke, et al, kids are either all in for Michigan early on or they are not part of the class.

Thankfully we load up early on a bunch of really talented kids who bleed maize and blue so I am fine with this recruiting strategy.  It may end up with us missing on supers late and getting passed in the rankings by the likes of Ohio, USC, Bama, etc but we will still pull in top 5-10 classes and it will be full of kids who really want to play for Michigan.

This would have never happened if Hoke was as good of a recruiter as this stone faced salesman.

Or if he was as sly as this cool cat

Wow. Not liking the mom factor here. Could be, Mom wants Mich. Ty wants USC, so wants to convince Mom that even though he is traveling all the way out to the west coast without Coach Hoke, that USC is still a healthy and nurturing environment. Mom visits. Sky doesn't fall. She concludes that Ty is old enough to make his own choice given that USC doesn't seem to be OBVIOUSLY bad. Not good for us. Could also be, Ty torn between two programs. Wants Mom's advice. Mom feels good about USC, but wants to see it One More Time, up close. Not good for us. Could also be, Ty wants to go to Michigan. Mom says, well, let's check out your second choice. The one that's a greater distance from home and most recently scandal-plagued. And let me go there with you, as we fly all the way out there. Again. Because we both really know we want to go to AA, but just want to be sure that the #2 choice is, in fact, a step down. Good for us, but sadly, seems not too bloody likely a scenario.

To this. If RB Justin Davis from Fresno pickedUSC, which was very likely up until this week then Isaac was going to come Michigan. Davis was supposed to announce this week or next, now it looks like sometime next month he will choose. Which school. Maybe Isaac is hearing that Davis is favoring someone else now and wants to see SC ind more time just in case he goes elsewhere.
Bottom line is that SC w be getting a 5* RB this year and next. Yr as well, I live in Cali and the next 2 years are loaded at RB in the whole state. Isaac would be smart to choose Mich and become a star. If he goes to USC he will become a RB just like all the rest of the recent backs at that school, committee central w 3 or 4 backs a yr running the ball.

If he wants to be BLUE he will choose soon, the longer it plays out the worse it is for us IMO, but at the end of the day I do think SC is only taking one of the RB between Davis and Isaac if they both want to go there, first come first serve at the end of the day. Just my thoughts on this and u hope they are still in contact w Green.

One of the concerns for Ty's Mom might be the crime scene around the USC campus. Here's a link to a story about the latest student murders: http://www.ktla.com/news/landing/ktla-usc-deadly-carjacking,0,3944032.s… I have 17 year old twin sons and live in SoCal. As a parent you have to think seriously about the possibilities of your kids becoming crime victims. Although USC is an elite and wealthy private institution, the surrounding neighborhoods are constantly victimized by gang and drug activity.

Is in the Dirtiest and most nastiest city and surroundings. You cant go off campus at night at all. It's so damn gang infested!

Seriously it's a bad place to be when the dim goes down. Been there 100's of times

I've thought for quite a while that he was going to go to USC. He'd be great in a Michigan uniform, but Fitz, Deveon Smith, and the others who are here will help us win lots of games.
