Sports Nation: Ann Arbor
So i was walking around campus today and saw a big tent and other things that said ESPN on it. I started talking to the guy and Sports Nation is coming to Ann Arbor tomorrow. I had no idea about this and couldn't find a thread on it, so i thought i would share. If your around campus at 4 pm it is in front of the MLB and Rackham (in the little courtyard area) just north of the diag.

She is cool. Makes the show in my opinion.
September 21st, 2010 at 4:31 PM ^
up until the biting part.
September 21st, 2010 at 5:37 PM ^
biting never hurt anybody. Except the dude in Garp.

+2... if I could!

I can't wait until my wife gets home.

make crude reference about her leaving 20 minutes ago.... rising.
Keep in mind I mean no harm, but you can't leave a guy an opening like that.

Sweet video

i have a new found love for this show

radio show there as well. Big Ten week
September 21st, 2010 at 4:02 PM ^
unwatchable
EDIT: yep, they already said this in the other thread
September 21st, 2010 at 6:38 PM ^
Are you kidding me?
I am practically never home to catch SportsNation, but anything with Beadle is damn sure watchable.
I mean - you'd have to seriously hate women or be gay or both to not at least consider the show "watchable".
(FYI - big fan of Beadle because not only is she good looking (esp. for her age), but she seems very intelligent, witty, and clearly knows sports (unlike EA))

overreact (and somewhat homophobic) much? I expressed an opinion on a TV show, and not your girl - it's awful. There are many, many better venues for the watching of beautiful babies
And if ESPN is where you go to get excited, I'm not sure you should be namecalling other people gay. smiley face. Not that there's anything wrong with that, yo

Beadle is widely reguarded as a rising star at ESPN. She's became significantly more famous since her ESPY dress incident, but she has all the tools to be the first female voice at ESPN that doesn't have a nagging quality that makes you say "Yeah, but....".
And on your other comments - if you don't like a woman who is smart, attractive, and charming - then you don't like women. That is just the facts, man.

Read the above. It's only 4 words, try it slower this time. Name-calling anyone who doesn't like the show gay and misogynistic is silly and offensive. Accept and move on
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:02 PM ^
Beadle is good, the only reason I watch the show.

FYI, near the top of the bar on the right side of the page, right above the diaries, is a box titled "Site Search". If you had typed "SportsNation" into it and clicked "Search", you would have noticed that the very first result is a thread about this topic.

Well thank you. I actually went through page 1-4 and looked and then did a "find" command for nation and nothing popped up for each page. The way you said is much much easier.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:01 AM ^
It was worth it for the Beadle gif alone.
September 21st, 2010 at 4:23 PM ^
Hopefully we put on a better showing then Wiscy did. I'm glad they are not going to TUOS, probably something to do with safety or something lol.

Can someone plese go with a Mrs. Doubtfire shirt or the movie at least to show Colin.
September 21st, 2010 at 4:30 PM ^
His show is the kind of idiocy not needed in Ann Arbor (what kind idiocy is needed? I'm not sure, but not his kind). He should be heckled mercilessly. Signs like "Michigan: Where Your Material Comes From" (re: MZone spat) should be at the ready. We have enough hacks in our local media. I'm afriad if he and Drew Sharp cross paths they may form a Voltron like Super Hack and destroy all sensical opinion.

Colin Cowherd is insufferable. He is like a bad Gob impression. The difference is that Will Arnett was acting.
September 21st, 2010 at 5:43 PM ^
My offer still holds:
+1,000,000 to anyone who shows up with a big sign to point out Cowherd's previous relationship with the MZone. If it ain't witty enough, no points for you. +1 extra if you do it in a shirt from MGoStore.
The only type of trolling I encourage is busting into a live Valenti or Cowherd radio taping.

Hmm.... +1,000,001 or my unskippable EECS 314 lab?
September 21st, 2010 at 6:04 PM ^
...to do it. Or better yet, pay a street person to do it (they get to keep the MGoShirt). Kind of like here in DC where the lobbyists pay the street people to stand in line to obtain their tickets for congressional hearings.
September 22nd, 2010 at 12:04 AM ^
Don't skip it. Don't.
September 22nd, 2010 at 11:15 AM ^
Fake sick/call your GSI, set up another lab to sit in on. There are like 20 EECS 314 Labs per week - you can go to another section unless your GSI sucks
September 21st, 2010 at 6:12 PM ^
Here's the setup. It's right across Rackham next to the Burton Tower/MLB.
September 21st, 2010 at 6:19 PM ^
convenient since I get out of MLB at 4
September 21st, 2010 at 6:53 PM ^
there is no video of Cowherd eating a hotdog.
September 22nd, 2010 at 1:29 PM ^
I walked by around 12 and Cowherd was taking questions or something from a mob of people. I had class so i had to keep on walking
September 22nd, 2010 at 3:01 PM ^
Just to clear up some questions people have, according to the countdown clock they will be broadcasting live at 4. So show up early for the warmup, and get on national TV!
