2 years 31 weeks ago	I've wanted Robinson out for	I've wanted Robinson out for quite some time.  If RR gives him another year we're going to have the same results.   I'm tired of this paper thin bend and break shit.  It doesn't work in the big ten and it didn't work anywhere else he's been.  The guy just stands there and makes zero adjustments while RR and crew act clueless.  With such a great offense it is a damn shame that we can't compete on defense at any level.  It's actually ridiculous.  I honestly think we could throw together steve sharik and a couple other guru's from this site and have a better product then what's on the field right now.  In fact, I know we could.  Mgoblog could run the defense better then Robinson could ever dream of.

2 years 32 weeks ago	Believe it or not there are	Believe it or not there are actually a lot of people around the country including Cam Newton that think he is better then Denard.  I think that kind of talk is assinine.  Denard is one of a kind.  Cam Newton is another Pryor at best.

2 years 32 weeks ago	This is not OT bro.  Before	This is not OT bro.  Before the season I had us at 8-4 and that's where I like us to finish.  With Denard we could steal a game or two so that's the big upside.  People are so quick to jump on the fact that we're young and don't have a lot of depth on the defense, but at this point in the year we should see some individual improvement, to which, I've seen none.  I think some of the underclassmen are going to start to grasp things a bit more as the season progresses and more is asked of them.  Our defensive coaches have to do a better job of putting our youngsters in better position to make plays.  I'm excited going forward at the prospect of a new years day bowl game and so should all of you.

2 years 32 weeks ago	I don't think we should be	I don't think we should be ranked until we prove to the country that we can do better then 1-7 in the Big Ten.  Indiana is the same team we beat last year so until proven otherwise I can see why some writers are skeptics still.
2 years 32 weeks ago	I love how everyone just	I love how everyone just shuns MSU like they suck.  Then if they beat us the same people just make excuses for why we lost.  MSU is the most balanced team we may see this season.  They have the best defense of any team we have played so far this year coupled with an offense that can run with power, finesse, speed, and agility.  They're coming off a win against a top 11 team  and have a coach who's dying wish would be to beat Michigan.  The past is exactly that, the past.  At present MSU has been a better team then us for a few seasons now and we are the ones that need this game more then them.  I respect all the opponents Michigan plays because with a defense like ours, you have to.  We need to get the ball first and go down and score instead of vice versa.  Each time we defer or go on defense first we start from behind and that's not great for momentum one bit.  We have to pull out all the stops against these boys this year and if our defense can pull out an ND like performance and we can get some pressure on Cousins then I like our chances.  HAIL HAIL
2 years 32 weeks ago	After the last 3 years the	After the last 3 years the only reason teams circle us and throw the playbook at us is to kick us while were down.  The teams we have played are not hyper agressive teams they knew our defense sucked and they also knew that our offense was going to score almost at will so they had to go for it.  There is a lot more that goes into going for it on 4th down other then a team being "hyper aggressive".  Down and distance, opponents performance, time in the game, quality of the defense.  A couple of times yesterday IU went for it on 4th and long.  This as because of our offensive scoring output and the crazy success IU was having all day.  Don't read to much into it.
2 years 32 weeks ago	ESPN and the clear bias of	ESPN and the clear bias of the SEC conference is something that makes me sick to my stomach.  This year the SEC isn't anything to write home about.  It's Bama and everyone else.  They act like Cam Newton is better then Denard because he's in the SEC (which pisses me off beyond belief) Most of all though watching the Alabama and Florida game last night the broadcasters kept saying , "that's the type of play only an SEC athlete can make." Hell South Carolina could have had 3 losses and they probably still would have done this game.

2 years 32 weeks ago	Cool story bro.  MSU makes	Cool story bro.  MSU makes Indiana look like a team of donkey's I don't know why everyone is so confident that we're going to beat Michigan State.  They have a much better defense then people give them credit for and their offense can put up points with the best of them.  I'm just praying that we slow the game down to keep the defense off the field as much as possible to give us a chance.  With Denard we're always in the game, hopefully his knee is solid.

2 years 32 weeks ago	Seeing no improvement or	Seeing no improvement or adjustments = blame on the coaching staff. Ben Chappell completed 46 passes on our defense and only a couple of them on more complex routes then the simple slant, the simple dig, and the simple sluggo (slant/go).  Playing our corners off the ball 8-10 even 12 yards off the ball is getting us nowhere at all.  This defense is broke but GERG refuses to fix it.  You think Saban would just say oh well we can't do this so I'm just going to run the same bs soft zone and let Ben Chappell look like Peyton Manning against us?  NO!! Hell neither would majority of coaches in this country.  RR needs to get on the defense hard and let them know that todays performance was again, un-bearable.

2 years 32 weeks ago	If you have watched the tape	If you have watched the tape from games 1 through 5 then you should know that while we don't have the depth and experience we have gotten worse instead of better and that is not a good trend going into the bulk of the Big Ten season.  I abslutely love our defense next year and I think it can be successful with GERG here it's just that I'm concerned with not seeing individuals getting better.  Not many players on that defense playing with much confidence and it's tough to watch.  They're just going through the motions and that reflects poorly on the coaching staff no matter how you look at it.  Let's hope we can buckle up a little against Michigan State.  Losing that game for 3 straight years would be a travesty.
2 years 32 weeks ago	I just want to see some	I just want to see some improvement, and I have seen none.  That is all..inexperience and lack of depth or not all of the units should almost be in mid-season form.  No question where our offense is, but if this is what our defense is going to look like all year with no improvement then that falls on the coaching staff.  Those DB's don't play with any confidence and the lack of pressure on the qb hasn't been anything to write home about.  We made Ben Chappell look like Peyton Manning and be compared to Peyton during the broadcast...Our best defense tonight was Barwis' conditioning program.  Our defense had their offense gassed and began to take advantage a couple of times. Game ball to Denard, JR Hemmingway, The entire OL, and Mike Martin.  Honorable mention : V.Smith, R.Roundtree, Mouton/Kovacs
