I just made my first +1 in the past three days!

Now I know what it's like to be old and constipated.

This blog needs a big glass of prune juice when the servers get overloaded.

I don't mean for this to come off as a "I told you so" type of thing, but rather a way for me to vent my frustrations with the administration.  I've been an admirer of Harbaugh since his playing days at Michigan and dreamed of him coaching UofM since the day I read the newspaper snippet announcing his hiring as head coach at U. San Diego. Little did I know that shortly before that Carr had turned Harbaugh down for the Michigan QB coaching position. Anyway, even in his time at USD, the Michigan athletic administration should have been following his progress closely.  But no, nobody had the foresight to think about getting a candidate in place to be groomed as Lloyd's successor.  Even three years ago after Lloyd stepped down, some of us already had a real belief that Harbaugh was turning into a great coach and lobbied for his hiring at UofM.  But no, the administration again lacked this foresight.  Just think, if Carr had hired Harbaugh, or Martin had brought him in three years ago, it very well might be us that just won a BCS bowl and was sitting pretty for next year.  Maybe Harbaugh still would have just accepted the 49ers offer, but at least we would be handing a top notch program off to the likes of Hoke and not be starting over from square one.  Thanks Carr.  Thanks Martin.  Thanks Brandon. (who I believe was on the search commitee that hired RR)  Give me an administration with some foresight, especially when it was right in front of their noses.  Damn!

I think the bigger problem is that no one in the administration or staff had the brains to think "hmmm, a great former player/leader of our program, who was in the NFL for 15 years, wants to get into coaching really badly, maybe we should take advantage of this".

Me: a double-degreed alum, long-time avid reader, occasional snarky poster/sniper.  Plenty of insight, high on creativity, but severely time-constrained due to my f'n job.  Recently lost ~70 points (and posting privileges) due to calendar, seeking companionship and acceptance.

You: basically anyone with a pulse and loose pos-bang standards.

What: all I wanna do is pos bang-bang-bang.  Discreet, open, whatever.

Please help?
