WHY the NCAA feels a Monday night is the best time for the championship game. I understand the basketball reasoning.....packaging the Final Four on Saturday and championship on Monday. But Football??? Sure the NFL has playoffs going on, but can't we do a Friday night instead? Anyone know the reasoning?
|2 weeks 15 hours ago||Not bashing on overweight||
people here, but I'd be concerned about his age and fitness level. From that standpoint alone I wouldn't give him more than 3 years. When you have a Harbaugh in your league, do you really want a coach that falls asleep at 10pm with a bucket of chicken in his lap? Okay, i couldn't help it. That was indeed a bash on overweight people and I apologize, or maybe I was speaking in hyperbole.

OSU were closer than expected. I couldn't help but wonder if Meyer went easy on us, hoping it would help keep Hoke employed longer. (Although I'm sure Meyer didn't want a game as close as the last one) No doubt we'll be getting the buckeye's best shot now. A win over OSU would be HUGE, opening even more doors to elite recruits. I'm expecting a war on November 28!!! As for the original question. I'd say OSU -4.5

Try this: go to your facebook, search: Ian Nacy (lives in South Dakota) Not sure of his privacy settings, but if he's wide open you can see the video on his page.

I apologize everyone! I thought since I could open it, you all could also. Its a fan video shot directly down the lline-of-scrimmage. Clearly shows ball placed just inside the one, and then the center cocking the ball forward, almost touching the goal line with it before the snap.

No kidding. but I hadn't seen a replay from a true angle yet. Thought possibly some others hadn't yet either.

Have you llost sleep over every Michigan loss over the past seven yers? If so, gotta hand it you, you're the ultimate fan!
|8 weeks 3 days ago||i think Harbaugh stays a long||
i think Harbaugh stays a long time. Assistants will be poached, but Harbaugh will just develop the next up=and-comers. When he does step down I'd anticipate having a whole pool of excellent candidates wanting to come back as HC.
|8 weeks 4 days ago||I agree. Taking NOTHING away||
I agree. Taking NOTHING away from our great improvement, but once it was 14-0 it appeared BYU was ripe-for-the-pickin. Thats too much travel in one month, and this was pointed out beforehand by several posters who predicted a victory for the good guys.
|9 weeks 4 days ago||Rudock||
I missed the 2nd half, but the most disappointing thing about the first half was no doubt Rudock, Lots of late passes or just badly overthrown. Seems like this would have been the perfect opponent to start hitting some medium range passes. The deep throws appear not even an option anymore. This team could still win 9 games, but probably not if Rudock doesn't hit his stride this coming week.

My favorite metric is CGL otherwise known as: my Confidence in the defense when the Game is on the Line, Even the last couple years, with a pretty good D, your gut feeling probably wasn't good in the 4th quarter when we needed the big stop. I think that's changing...for the good!

looking at 2015 as the year they could legimately compete for an NC. Not sure if they were counting on Golson at that point. Hoping the irish fail miserably of course.
|17 weeks 1 day ago||I've watched a couple programs closely in the GR area.||
Basically, I see the bottom half of rosters getting less and less attention. Coaches are running up-tempo practices with more snaps and less contact. The depth kids who could close the talent gap by running drills just aren't getting them. They are standing around half of practice watching the starters run plays.. IMO many lack confidence because of this and are quitting football.

Just the fact we're discussing this proves the TIgers have mattered. From about 1993 through 2005 we were buried and out of the race by Memorial Day. I only feel bad for Mr I., he deserved a ring. Not his fault the offense disappered in two World Series.

A 16 team playoff field means teams with 3 losses would be playing. The regular season should be about eliminating teams with more than 1 loss. You can't compare this to the NCAA basketball tourney or D2 football. We love it for a reason...every game all season counts! Leave it at 4.

But it was an easy course I played weekly in a league. Put me on a tough course and it may well have been an 85. Not all par 4's are created equal!

really brings back the memories! Friday night hoops in particular was great entertainment. It was fast paced when everyone else walked it up the court. Here's to the Red Hawks and Indians!

Better known for it's basketball. Usually good to average in football. When I attended we were coached by former UofM player Jerry Dutcher, who played under Bo. The school also produced UofM LB David Harris.

I expected a little more from this thread. Is there anything here that any of us following the sateliite camps didn't already figure out? Offering under the radar types at this point is Harbaugh's 'method'. Lets save the term 'genius' for when the results are in.

who wore Michigan gear everyday to school as a kid, but I too felt the need to put it away in my mid 20's. When I see someone 30+ out in public in whichever team gear, I can't help but be less than impressed. It's like taking the 'never wear another man's number' to the next level I guess. I cheer for the maize in blue like crazy but have too much pride to be a walking billboard for anyone or any institution/team.

PAC-12 country, so they interviewed a PAC-12 coach to guage his feelings. They were possibly hoping for an SEC like response I assume.

MSU and OSU hauling in great classes. It might delay our return to the top a little, but I've got confidence it will make Harbaugh even more determined to take us all the way there.. If we won big immediately, I think it increases the chances of Harbaugh looking for a new challenge in five years. Enjoy the climb as we fight our way up gentlemen. The joy is in the journey, and we've got the perfect leader for it! The road to the top now goes through the Big Ten East.
|25 weeks 3 days ago||Agree that the next 6 weeks are critical.||
If this team loses its fight, it might be time to rebuild. Hey, it could be a LOT worse folks. For a long stretch of years (early 90's through mid 00's) the Tigers were often completely out of it by Memorial Day. I remember dreaming of a season where we could just play meaningful games in August. If we do rebuild, at least we have some pieces to do it. Wait for Miggy to get hot, try to get two or three young studs for him. And I'm a big Miggy fan too. Of course this all assumes Mr. I is willing to look long term instead of short term.
|25 weeks 5 days ago||Remember back in the early 90's,||
when Chevy offered a few of their models in turquoise blue? A friend of mine had a Cavalier in this obnoxious color. He later admitted that it seemed really cool when he bought it but within 6 months the novelty wore off and he couldn't stand it anymore. He had to sell it deeply discounted because everyone else had apparently become sick of it too.
Creating your own name for your child seems to share this type of risk. You might nail it and your child might grow up to really appreciate their unique name, or you might get the "What the hell were my Mom and Dad thinking?" response. As for me, I picked names I thought my children would appreciate as adults, not cutesy names that are better suited for the playground.
|26 weeks 4 hours ago||A question.....||
How did you know you were "clearly" the number one candidate from start to finish? You received an offer, but maybe you were candidate 1A with several candidate 1B's waiting in the wings. You looked like a tough negotiation, so they turned to a more "eager" applicant.
