Close between B and A, then a gap and extremely close between the C, D, E. All these teams probably deserve to be out but someone has to round out the 68.

Boulder group meets at The Post just north of Pearl Street now. New bar for this year and haven’t made it out to it yet, so can’t speak to it. Group is friendly and a lot of fun though.

Sleeper Pick

I think that Andrew David, could be a sleeper pick to make an impact next year. If we don't get a transfer Punter, he should be in a battle for the job. Wouldn't be surprised to hear about him pushing for the Kicker or Kickoff jobs either based on what we hard coming out of high school. Allen has done a great job but hearing about David at least pushing for the roles would be a good sign.

Anyone who was at the Elite

Anyone who was at the Elite Eight game in Indy back in March can confirm, it's Kentucky. I'm still in shock of that fanbase. That was something else.

How about the goal horn for

How about the goal horn for hockey? Don't hate it with a burning passion and not sure it's Brandon's doing (although it started during his tenure, so will be attributed to him) but man what was wrong with just playing The Victors and having the crowd go nuts?

Great topic

For me after some thinking about what games I've been to, I realized that the only choice I have is the '08 Capital One Bowl over Florida. Wanted to pick a Michigan Stadium game but most of the ones I've been too have been against cupcakes (ticket price/availability).

This game/trip was my 16th birthday present from my parents. Dad and I went down the day after Christmas and enjoyed a week in Florida. Went to the BC/MSU Champs Sports Bowl where I proudly wore a Big Ten Conference T-shirt and pretended to root for Sparty because of my sister being a student there but really, could care less. Realize now that it was the BC team that was Quaterbacked by Matt Ryan and was probably the best team they've had in 25 years, so that was pretty cool.

Really remember the fan fest for the two bowl games that they had. That had the bands of all 4 schools and a bunch of activites. Tebow's Heisman was there as well. My dad's quote to the M fans next to us in line for a photo with it? "Desmond's was bigger." Remember Brandstatter getting up and getting the Michigan fans in attendance to chant "one more win" for Lloyd. Anyone else who was there have memories from the fanfest? Honestly probably one of the best gatherings on Michigan fans I've been too (Up there with the bars pregame for basketball vs Kentucky in Indy this past spring, beer may have helped that one though).

Of course there's the game itself. Which was pure awesomeness. No need to rehash that. But there being maybe at best was 10% Michigan fans, the rest true down deep south ESS EEE SEEE Florida fans, many of which bought shirts for $20+(!) saying "Beat Michigan and that rat they brought with them". Watching those guys walk out while we stayed and celebrated was priceless. But the postgame interviews with players? That will always stick with me. Listening to Shawn Crable answer the ESPN reporter's question about being prepration for the game? "We had to listen to KIRK HERBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBSREIT say we ain't got no chance" to a roar from the MIchigan fans was the best. Getting to walk out from the upperdeck, to a crowd of Gators waiting still for with everyone in maize and blue chanting "It's Great to Be a Michigan Wolverine" will always stick with me as a moment of pure fandom"

Anyone else with memories from this game?

Sidenotes:

Best Michigan Stadium game?: My first, Rice 1999 a 7 year old, amazing seats by pure luck. 6th row 45 yard line. Was first row until a week before the game we got a call from the Athletic Department telling us we were moved so recruits would have those seats.

Worst games?: The Horror.... and Toledo '08. Idk how a 15/16 year old me got through those games without drinking

Best worst games?: Northwestern in '08. Nothing to play for. Lost. Miserable weather. We sat under the construction of the luxury boxes, in a spot that dripped on us the whole game. Never been so cold and wet. But Damnit we stayed until the final play and then went to the basketball arena for the open practice before the team went and upset UCLA in NYC. How's that for fandom endurance badge?

Oh c'mon and here I was

Oh c'mon and here I was hoping to not have to root against Hart's team anymore. Wish him and the running backs there much success. Hope the rest of the team just blows it for them. Fire Up Chips

To be fair with the new rules

To be fair with the new rules of the NFL, in addition to more pass first teams, I doubt we ever see a true lockdown secondary for anyone again.

Not familar with the Michigan

Not familar with the Michigan program but I'm in my final year of the Sport Management program at Central Michigan. It's been a fantastic expirence and one I wouldn't change. Yes you catch a lot of flack for being a "jock major" and so on but like any other program it's as serious as you take it. Sports in a glamour industry so as far as inital jobs go, it's internship heavy and/or low-paying. However if it's what you are passionate about you won't want to trade it for anything. Yes there are ways to get into the sports industry that don't involve the majoring in Sport Management. However those are becoming tougher and tougher, as more and more qualifed Sport Management grads are entering the workplace and organizations are looking at them first over other disciplines. Also networking as with any business is key and the connections you make in the program can pay big dividends when it comes to moving up in the sports world. Overall I have had nothing but great expirences and while there are some specfic challenges with being a Sport Management major, so does every other degree program.

Few beers and a whiskey and cokes. Watching the Wings and looking ahead and hoping that my Chippewas can pull off some MACtion against Ball State on Wednesday. And then salvage the in-state rivalries aginst Western and Eastern later this month.

Nice, always good to have more Chippewas around here. Fire Up Chips and welcome aboard

Yes because those PSD

Yes because those PSD revenues won't be there in years to come unless you give a new generation and new potential clients the opportunities to come to games and feel those expirences that come with it for themselves. Creating a future demand for season tickets and therefore PSD's in the future. Without that when the current season ticket holders give up their tickets (for whatever reason price, death, moving etc.) and therefore by extension their PSD's, there wouldn't be a demand created to fuill those voids and you would lose out on future revenues.

Simple Sports Management, you

Simple Sports Management, you want to grow your fan base to new fans and younger generations. The best way to get these potential fans to games. This cannot happen if you sell every seat as a season ticket. You need to have a good portion of tickets available for single game consumption. A variety of ticket options gives the biggest number of people a chance to sample the product and become fans that will then day demand more of the product. If you only offer season tickets, you will see fan growth stagnate. So after a period of time all the sudden you won't have the demand to sell every ticket as a season ticket.

Baltimore fans do this

Baltimore fans do this (rather impressively for the crowd sizes of games I've been at I might add) during the "O" of the anthem at O's games. They just love the anthem down there in general though. Been doing huge celebrations the last two years for the War of 1812 and anniversary of Key writing the anthem

Spent the night watching the Griffins lose game 5 and drinking whiskey and cokes. Still have a 3-2 series lead but losing two in a row at home that could have clinched makes me nervous to go back to Syracuse...

If I have time in between

If I have time in between summer classes I'm going to attempt to write a more in depth preview on CMU, seeing how I have first hand knowledge after watching all their games the last three years (not looking forward to the two teams I rise and fall with playing each other but such is the nature of the beast) . Maybe I'll be able to use my MACtion knowledge to try and put a little bit more on Akron if people are interested.

I predict that I will be

I predict that I will be there, sitting in some combination of clothing of the school I go to and love and the school I grew up loving. So if you see a confused looking guy wearing both Maroon and Blue tomorrow stop and tell me Fire Up Chips.... errr I mean Go Blue.... wait Fire Up Blue?

As for the actually game, Central is better than I and pretty much everyone thought they'd be 12 games into the Keno Davis era at 7-5 but they have yet to see anything like Michigan (obviously). Might take Michigan a litttle bit to shake the rust off, CMU will come out running as Davis has installed a fast break offense. There will be some pressing Defense too. Nothing that Arkansas wouldn't have shown. I'll go with

Michigan 91

CMU 58
