Cool story bro: Totally had a Dinner Party scenario with my dad and the “new woman” at Christmas. After already being there for an hour, someone asked about dinner and “oh, well the crown roast will need at least another hour and a half…” and we all looked at each other thinking “Oh, no, no, no, it's just the osso bucco needs to braise for about three hours. Everything else is done.”

The actual title of the article is "Next move for Jim Harbaugh could be an extension at Michigan".

"COULD BE" is the same shit everyone thought since the new year. The title of this post "PFT’s Mike Florio Says Extension Next for Harbaugh" is alluding to the fact that the extension is Harbaugh's next step, not a return to the NFL.

He's sorta right - we all clicked through.  The thread appears to have a click-batey draw.

But, I checked on all the other threads and people have clicked through and commented on each one in similar fashion.  We've got to find a way for the titles to be more vague so threads can get glossed over with no comments.

Unfortunately, I know some friends who were both vaccinated but still got the Delta variant  and  lost their taste and small and still have not gotten it back after 3 months, so every day for them  is like eating old people food. The y dropped out of  our wine tasting group but will not rejoin until their smell and taste return.

I do not envision a scenario where Harbaugh leaves UM if they give him exactly what he wants. The only way the NFL is ever a better option for Harbaugh, is if there is no path to make UM competitive on the levels of Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, OSU. All that stuff about "wanting to best his brother", hungry for a new challenge, etc. to me is all trash. If Jim is a man of his word, and I believe him to be, then he will be at Michigan until Michigan no longer wants him.

One day I think Jim will go to the NFL.  When you are that competitive, you badly want to win a Super Bowl.  If you came within 4th and goal of winning the super bowl you want it even more. If you came within 4th and goal of winning the super bowl against your brother and lost two other extremely tight NFC championship games...yeah lol.

But I think right now, this year, if he leaves, it won't be because of that, or solely because of that.  I think if Michigan does everything they can, he doesn't want to leave...yet.

So if he leaves I will personally view it as a bit of an indictment on the athletic department administration.  Perhaps that's a bit unfair and I could be wrong.  But that's my perspective

I agree with this line of argument.

But there's a LOT of things that have to come into alignment, roster, draft, front office, etc. and Jim has been there before, so he can be even more discerning about what will and what won't work.

Building a legacy/dynasty/program with an institution like Michigan is also as one of the greatest achievements, and he's in that position currently, and could very well do it, the NIL will change things dramatically, better/worse, we'll see.

I'm not sure how many people fault Saban for his lack of NFL success (or many other legendary cfb coaches).

Ultimately it's about options, people don't leave for absolute reasons, but comparative reasons, if the NFL can hand him reigns to things and scenarios line up in ways he doesn't have at UM, then he jumps there, but if not, he stays, we are undoubtedly creatures of convenience.

Groundbreaking information. "You'll never believe what could happen next! See slide 7 for more"

That wasn't much of an article - maybe three 'paragraphs', or whatever settle for paragraphs in todays 'journalism'.  You know, one sentence affairs.  There is nothing new, nothing substantiated, and nothing offered.  Its a rehash of things we all speculate - Ross wants him to stay at Michigan, so he's using leverage earned this year for a bigger payday.

Too bad the need to publish quickly so far outweighs the need for actual news and accuracy these days...

I was innocently watching ESPN and FS1 at a bar last week and saw both carrying "Harbaugh to NFL" stuff, so, again innocently, I asked this board for any additional info. I got negbanged so far it is now going to take me forever to get that free poster of Brian you get when you hit 5,000 MGoPoints. It's just not fair.
