Nah: "I've been Joshing."

Anything short of "I've been carrying water for SEC coaches who were afraid Harbaugh was going to build a recruiting pipeline in their backyards" is insufficient funds for years of hackery. Finebaum is never going to more than the kind of media person whose listeners don't have be listened to.

But you can leave this up.

It's a Lions thing, not a Michigan thing.  Blandino was the head of officiating for the NFL a few years back, which as you might imagine put him on the shit list for Lions fans everywhere.  Most especially since there were pictures of him on Jerry Jones's party bus that surfaced after the refs infamously picked up that PI flag against Dallas a few years ago.

Since he started his TV job, he's been pretty upfront about saying the Lions seem to be on the wrong end of bad calls more often than most teams and he also just comes across as a decent guy.  He's pretty disarming.  Finebaum is not.

There is a scene in "The Natural" where Robert Duvall's sports reporter character (Max Mercy) basically says it doesn't matter to him whether Robert Redford's character (Roy Hobbs) succeeds or fails in his comeback because either way he gets his story.  That is Pete Finebaum.  He can say whatever he wants - as long as people are talking about him one way or the other he gets his story.  He "eats crow and praises Harbaugh" - people talk about that.  UM beats Iowa?  He can play with that thread of "will he get FURTHER redemption?!".  UM loses to Iowa?  He can play that thread too "see he really isn't past this tag!"  He did the same thing in 2015 when OSU beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl - and got a massive amount of SEC slappy's calling in pissed off and a bunch of OSU slappy's calling in to taunt.  I'm just disappointed in myself that I spent this much time typing the comment......

That dude is a total dick with ears.....   when we're 6-0 he brags up JH, when we lose a game, he's calling for JH to be fired....   He's as useless as a weatherman who only tells you what happened yesterday.

That was fair & balanced, I just hope he is now over his "deal". I remember during 62-39 he was re-tweeting Stephen A Smith trashing Harbaugh; From Saturday I think he stayed quiet, the Sunday Morning Sports Center was only Heather D. I think he took the time to collect his thoughts, knowing if he doubled down now on Iowa the entire sports world would question his rationale. He even rated Michigan Stadium Saturday over Pick-6 Auburn for environment. That said, remember Iowa 2016 "Be about it" Saturday night

“Michigan won convincingly, but all that really tells us is that they’d be about 0.500 in the SEC, if it were a down year in the league”

He's lying.  He isn't genuinely happy for Jim Harbaugh.  He was shaking his head as he was saying so and was speaking from a stance of complete disbelief.  He threw his hands up in a manner that suggested concession and his stammer at the end was icing on the cake.

I don’t get his deal with Harbaugh, it’s been like this since he came back to college. He doesn’t do this with Penn St or Notre Dame or even Ohio St. He’s always got Harbaugh name coming out of his filthy mouth. The only thing i can think of is that the SEC has been afraid that if Harbaugh ever got the train rolling it would be tough for the SEC to compete with him?

Harbaugh is a celebrity.  Franklin, Kelly and Day simply aren't except to the Mgoblog base.  You don't have to be a football fan to know who Harbaugh is and Finebaum has found easy clickbait and the quality of the commentary doesn't matter.

I would delete the tread only because the content wasn't worth listening to.

A TV mediocrity who has made some money dissing Harbaugh. His big party trick is getting some very sad, mostly Southern people to reinforce all of the stereotypes about them, exhibiting the emptiness of their lives, on a weekly radio show. Has pushed the SEC to the exclusion of other conferences in a shameless way for ESPN, the chief beneficiary, for a decade, in a way that would never be tolerated in most professional settings. Should--can readily--be ignored.

Every time I see Finebaum one thought comes to mind:  This is what dick would look like if it had ears. DUMBO ears!!!  Must be designed for easy insertion into Saban's arse.

Annoying how Finebaum STILL disses the College Football Playoff Committee ranking UM above MSU after MSU's loss the week after their "win" over UM.

Even though the committee's publically stated mission is to choose the BEST quality teams not just based on simply the game outcomes.
