On one hand it is great to…

On one hand it is great to leave on top; On the other hand: Jets, Falcons, Saints, etc.  Hopefully JJ falls to a great offensive team;

Excellent!

Excellent!

Oh! 42-27 made me think of…

Oh! 42-27 made me think of my late father too!  He took me to 1969 Michigan v. Ohio State!  That was Bo's high watermark at Michigan he actually Coached himself into a heart attack winning that game;  This Michigan team won on the field, won over the National Media, won over the NCAA, & won over the B1G;

Does a new Coach keep Ben …

Does a new Coach keep Ben "747" Herbert? No? Get Lost!

I bet Ryan Day Coached his…

I bet Ryan Day Coached his best ball the weeks Urban was in Jacksonville; As soon as Urban got back, did Urban get information from his snitches {former assistants} and badger Third Base? I say Yes. Glad Jim Harbaugh will just head for the Chargers so Coach Moore can run the show!

Best & Worst: National…

Best & Worst: National Championship!  I don't feel like going through the schedules of other 15 - 0 Champions, but Michigan could NOT lose a single game! Not just because of "strength of schedule" but because the B1G, NCAA and ESPN wanted a Michigan loss more than sunshine in April;

It was a greater win than I…

It was a greater win than I ever imagined and it justified Jim Harbaugh football to the National Media & Audience;

This piece of Harbaugh slander YouTube link from 2021 has been proven wrong and as of 9th of January Mike, Paul & Heather have all given Michigan respect.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9xDWaOumCPU

But to me a good Michigan program will win it's home games get to the playoffs every year and maybe every 7-8 years break through to the championship game; That is what Michigan was in 2015 and that is what they are now.

I like that Michigan has a…

I like that Michigan has a better "change up pitch" on offense; People talk as though the same game plan has to used all game {e.g. pound the rock} Michigan will use that fast winding clock and run with all 3 backs; Use all 3 tight ends in the passing game; Use both quarterback packages; Use the jet sweep;  On defense this reminds me of Rams v Pats; Keep the DUB receivers in front and make them feel every tackle; Glad Harbaugh had an extra walk through Friday after getting to Houston so the Coaches can clean up THEIR mistakes {e.g. 10 men on field until AFTER the punt went up on the most important special team play of the season}

Michigan wins because they are best conditioned team in college football; I can't guess a score, but I know by sometime in the 4th quarter the Dubs will be too tired to execute;

Go Blue!

I am selfish but if I was JJ…

I am selfish but if I was JJ I would take the NIL of $2 million, give $500,000 to the linemen and work another year with Ben Herbert; I would also add 2% for CJ Carr to wake up and smell the coffee, realizing the Irish rather have a B- portal quarterback than trust him;

First it should have been…

First it should have been UGA v Michigan + Washington v Ohio State if they REALLY wanted the 4 best ESPN messed up their own shenanigans; Second, Harbaugh at this point needs Alabama in the semis because you can’t be a champ unless you beat a SEC team; Plus it helps his focus he closes the playbook + relaxes against the TCU types but will go all in on Saban; I don’t know how ANYONE can think Harbaugh, Moore, Minter, Ben Herbert & the entire team (except maybe Roman Wilson?) would fear Alabama; They fear no one! And Michigan has a month to convince Roman how to catch & stand-up in a big game; Go Blue-DetroitRoots

In 1981-1985 I lived at 50…

In 1981-1985 I lived at 50 North St. Stamford good times!

I need certain players to…

I need certain players to stop acting like the 2017 Michigan Football overly emotional culture; Stop taking off your helmets on the field; Roman Wilson, stop running on the field to celebrate a call w/o your helmet; Stop calling the other team soft until the job is ACTUALLY finished {e.g. winning 1-2 playoff games & learning to cross the goalline strong instead of like he did against TCU and Saturday}; Stop leaving TD's in the reviewers' hands and "run through the tape"; Learn how to handle the week off in December, learn how to play on grass {Rose Bowl}, leave the B1G Championship to your Head Coach; TCU is a terrible team that lost the 2022 Big 12 championship, 2022 National Championship by 58 points, lost to a bad Colorado team at home when favored by 24 points, finished the 2023 season 5-7 and the ONLY thing they accomplished was beating you; Less ego, get humble; "Leave No Doubt"

I knew Michigan would win…

I knew Michigan would win before the game; During the game as soon as Will Johnson "broke serve" I knew the game was over; The strange part was other moments were needed as the Buckeyes tried to keep up: Blake ripping out the Buckeyes heart with a 22 yard TD; Mikey stealing Henderson's soul with a big hit; A 7:00 drive breaking the Buckeye spirit; Rod Moore ramming a stake through and cutting off the head to show the crowd; If Buckeye was smart {they aren't} they would just bring back Urban to build his culture and this time then turn it over to a Coach who actually achieved something as a College {or NFL} Head Coach; Not strip club Ryan {per Zach Smith, hey if Petey T can report off rumor why not I get one in?} Day; Go Blue!

Jim Harbaugh does NOT play…

Jim Harbaugh does NOT play very nice with the media; Feeding them inside gossip and inviting them over for a BBQ; Jim Harbaugh does NOT play very nice with fellow Coaches, he is trying to win not find a tennis/golf/pickleball buddy; Jim Harbaugh does NOT play very nice with higher ups, they just don't share his vision of the world; Jim Harbaugh does hold grudges for life, there is no coming back until you yield to his domination; I am glad he is the Coach of Michigan Football and any NFL team he goes to {please not the Bears} I will be a fan of; But combine University of Michigan national hate, with the WHITE HOT Jim Harbaugh and here we are; Leave no doubt: Do not lose this season; Then everyone just move on; This investigation will die on the vine because if ANYONE especially failson Connor had said Jim Harbaugh knew he would have been suspended until the investigation is finished, then he would be suspended some more either for Program Liability or knowing what failson Connor did; But the B1G & the NCAA already know failson Connor hid this from Harbaugh to make himself look smarter; That is why they rushed this suspension to get that Penn State lost to discredit 2021, 2022 & 2023; Let me stop I have never been so triggered by haters in my life;

They had the: "Michigan…

They had the: "Michigan Football is a fraud who can't beat top teams without cheating" articles saved to WORD; Once Michigan won they had to go with: "Michigan should be ashamed of all the drama and emotion"  Meanwhile I am watching the Jim Harbaugh Weekly Press Conference on B1G Network; If ends up beating the snot out of 3-4 B1G Coaches I would NOT be shocked; I never seen a man trying to hide a boiling rage this much ever.

ESPN on purpose would not…

ESPN on purpose would not highlight the "Kenny G" run down of a elite running back; Since ESPN wants to wipe out Michigan History fine!  Start a new Worldwide Leader PowerPoint Michigan is 1-0 with a victory on the road over the Top 10 on the road in front of 110,000+ without it's Head Coach; That makes Michigan 1000 all-time!

This is NOT the 1970's when…

This is NOT the 1970's when teams were limited to X number of TV viewings per year; TV runs the conferences and a top 3 TV rating team like Michigan isn't get anything in the way of punishment that impacts must see TV;

Ryan Day; I have never seen…

Ryan Day; I have never seen a Coach with a great program and exceptional record under so much pressure; Yes, I am wishing that pressure drips down onto the team;

Great Article; If it is…

Great Article; If it is proven there was traveling to steal signs, so be it; But what bothers Pat Forde, Stewart Mandel and Ross Dellenger to name three is Harbaugh who never grants them access like other people do - will not be suspended this year, wins will not be vacated and Michigan will not be prevented from postseason;They know the longer the investigation plays out, the smaller this situation becomes; "Leave no doubt" this may (will!) spur the team NOT to play around like against Maryland, Illinois, TCU and Michigan State last year; Not a single scheduled game left no longer concerns me; The B1G championship and playoffs still have to play out but Maryland, Purdue, Penn State and Ohio State(home field) just don't have what it takes; So learn to play on grass, learn how to handle one week off in December, don't waste time waving bye to fans & teams, stop planting flags and stop taking pictures with fans during game; Get. Down. To. Business. Go Blue!

a) Edwards needs to focus,…

a) Edwards needs to focus, stop waving off his coaches; Take the game plan, study it and execute in practice then during the game;  Talk to Harbaugh, Talk to Moore, Talk to Hart, Talk to Bellamy; We need this guy to get right; The team can make him 4th string if need be, but it should NOT come to that;

b) 2020, the media acted as though Tom Allen had passed Harbaugh; Sure it looked good IU beating Penn State, Michigan, only losing to the Buckeyes by 7 points on the road; This is why I enjoyed this 52-7 defeat; Too many IU games since 2015 were closer than what they should be, 2018 was a terrible lwin{6 field goals?} that forecasted the Ohio State crossing pattern festival;  This is D-1 football if you don't get the edge, the focus, the execution? You will barely get into the end zone only because Hall lost his helmet; You will turn away from the rush and create a 20 yard sack; Every game is REALLY huge; Ohio State, Michigan State, the B1G Championship, Penn State, Playoffs are REALLY-REALLY huge; Stay focused, Go Blue!

TCU lost the Big 12…

TCU lost the Big 12 Championship Game, the Playoff Championship game giving up 67 points and lost at home as a 21.5 point favorite to Prime; During that period they only beat Michigan; Michigan Football must drown out the praise{rat poison} and stay humble, you lost to TCU; You have accomplished nothing yet; Work harder, leave the weapons at home, stop kissing women during game action, no waving bye-bye to teams & fans and no planting of flags until after a victory in Houston; To heck with the Heisman, keep taking the fourth quarter off to stay fresh; Stop acting like Edwards needs to: "hit a home run"  The schedule? Bowling Green beat Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech beat Miami, Miami ran Texas A&M off the field and Texas A&M hung with Alabama; Every "cupcake" still has D1 players: finish don't be like USC; Forget about individual statistics just turn straight to the team statistics; The title is right there for the taking, only the lost of focus can stop Michigan Football; This week remember 2020 and finish off IU by midway in the 2nd Quarter, then spend the rest of the game Coaching hard, while the 2's & 3's focus, execute and dominate; Since the end of the 2020 season {when Herbie accused you of waving the white flag}only Georgia was a "tip the hat lost" stay humble you lost to failed Sparty & TCU; Go to work. Focus. No guns. No reckless driving. Learn how to play on grass. Learn how to handle focus during December break, playoff on campus AND on-site practice; Stay humble; Go Blue!!!

Jim Harbaugh became …

Jim Harbaugh became "addicted" to winning; He wanted to be 11 - 0 going into Ohio State with the best health possible;  He shouldn't do this again because Blake ran out of bounds TWICE instead of going for the end zone and on the play he got hurt on,  it called for a hurdle or an extraordinary move but he "wasn't about it" not because he turned into Franco Harris, but because of Mike Hart's instruction; This should not be done again even if a National Championship comes from it; "Scared Money" never wins and if you Michigan didn't have the best kicker in all of football that phase would have held up; If they had let J.J. and the passing game build on the IU 300 yard game live action, there may have been at least 1 loss, but they would have a passing game WE SAW going into the 12th game; If Michigan went all out every game there may be some other major injuries in addition to E-All, but that is what football is; I expect Michigan to win on the 26th, I expect in the MIchigan Building the passing game is a known positive; I expect Day to make the mistake of trying to get C.J. the hardware instead of running Michigan out of the building;

Why did he freeze up? I…

Why did he freeze up? I found it strange, was he worried about leaving too much time on the clock for Joe Burrow? Instead of fitting into a narrow window did he want to wait for a easier throw? Did he relax when he found out the Bengals beat the Titans, then when he beat the Bills in heroic fashion, then getting a home game, then getting a 18 point lead, then getting to the red zone, then winning the OT coin flip?

Thank you for this! Unlike…

Thank you for this! Unlike with most Bo & Harbaugh teams that lose momentum going into bowl games, this team looks strong going to South Florida because of how they built into who they were over the season and the tough games were back loaded October 30th on. UGA established an identity that could beat most teams in the 1st half of a game and didn't have to play complete games. Nothing happened to the Dawgs that forced changes (like Spartan game) and with all those 4th quarter blow outs notice how Jordan Davis got tired so quick? That was a symbol of a defense that if it gets moved around doesn't have the conditioning; The month of December is the LAST month of the year a college team can get in condition; Different practice schedule, final exams{even if a person doesn't take them}, holidays, travel/bowl commitments, Florida weather and uber ESPN college football attention means you better have gotten in condition and had it tested in November. **checks November notes** Dawgs: Missouri, Tennessee, Charleston Southern, Yellow Jackets; Michigan: IU, Penn State, Maryland, Buckeyes; Yikes! IU & Penn State were pre-season top 25, Buckeyes top 4, and many people thought Michigan coming off 2-4 2020 would struggle on road against Terps! I bet the Dawg defensive starters NEVER had a November complete game! "Hail" I just talked myself into a Michigan win!

Michael Wilbon said Iowa…

Michael Wilbon said Iowa will win.  Not because of defense, turnovers or special teams. Nope. He said: "I have seen this movie before"  When Michigan gets this close to the B1G title, the team needs to keep the momentum going.

That was fair & balanced, I…

That was fair & balanced, I just hope he is now over his "deal". I remember during 62-39 he was re-tweeting Stephen A Smith trashing Harbaugh; From Saturday I think he stayed quiet, the Sunday Morning Sports Center was only Heather D. I think he took the time to collect his thoughts, knowing if he doubled down now on Iowa the entire sports world would question his rationale. He even rated Michigan Stadium Saturday over Pick-6 Auburn for environment. That said, remember Iowa 2016 "Be about it" Saturday night

Meaning #1

I was a Boy…

Meaning #1

I was a Boy Scout usher at the 1969 Ohio State game. This win reminded me of that game and choked me up thinking of my late father and late best friend who were also at the 1969 game. At 66 years old I would pay a Jimmy Sexton level contract to have watched this 2021 game with my father & best friend.

Meaning #2

The fight, toughness and togetherness of this team.

Meaning #3

From the beginning the myth of Michigan Stadium not being loud was exposed as incorrect.

Meaning # 4

Giving up 2,054 passing yards, 17 passing touchdowns and 70% completion rate in last 5 games for that team up the road: Does that make a program soft? Asking for a Coach who is a legend at the bank.

Michigan wins out, Michigan…

Michigan wins out, Michigan State gets two loses; Michigan wins the B1G title game and either gets a playoff slot if the Sooners, Tide, Bearcats have lost since 111/01/2021 or the Rose Bowl. Win Rose Bowl and "unacceptable lost to go 0-2 against Mel Tucker" becomes a "good lost on the road"

Don Brown let a average…

Don Brown let a average quarterback punk him, what happens against a program QB?

Those so-called elite…

Those so-called elite defensive linemen can only get off against a broken line. Don Brown clean out your desk tomorrow.

I do not call for a dude to…

I do not call for a dude to get fired lightly after Don Browns' performance today he has to go right now.

This. Losing to your Junior…

This. Losing to your Junior rival that is at it's LOWEST point? Not being ready to play? After blowing all that my best defensive backfield and we got a QB SMOKE? Short of winning the B1G and not getting blown out in the playoff, go Coach the Texans and take Don Brown with you.

Can never have enough depth…

Can never have enough depth in a 12-15 game season, recruit everywhere, anytime, anybody who can play D1 ball

Almost for sure Gattis is…

Almost for sure Gattis is recruiting them now!

Michigan maybe 37-7 in all…

Michigan maybe 37-7 in all games under Harbaugh that are NOT Ohio State & a Bowl game, but keeping a program together is hard.  Penn State & Michigan State are on a downward trend, and yes Ohio State has won a lot but it has a lot people who are in it only for themselves and Meyer is looking over Days' shoulder and not in a fun way.

"Lewerke's injury"  he…

"Lewerke's injury"  he wanted to play, just like Wilton wanted to play against Ohio State in 2016.  Once to get on the field you are judged by your results.  Lewerke sure got the right shoulder loose in celebration his touchdown catch.

The Bye Week is as important as game week:

Thank you.  Just because you…

Thank you.  Just because you get the ball back against Badger, doesn't mean you get the ball back infuture games, stop fumbling the ball!  And by the way Mr. Field Goal Kicker stop running your mouth and focus!  Mr. Kickoff dude, get the ball into the end zone every time, you have one job to do

Michigan never should have…

Michigan never should have let A.J. Dillion get away, but at least they found Ben Mason and started featuring him.   They need a big back and Mason fills the bill.  I hate Gameday is showing up & I hate it is a primetime night game, but Michigan has to learn to play at night to becoming a top four team.

I hope the Michigan players…

I hope the Michigan players also learn to FOCUS on the next game, unlike after the Cornhusker game when they ran their mouths about the Huskers 'quitting" instead of already setting their minds to the next game up and it showed in the 1st quarter.

Right now, Kentucky has…

Right now, Kentucky has looked better and UCF can't lose.  Michigan needs to just keep "under the radar" beat Ohio State, win B1G title and then let's see where things stand.

Picking up a big fourth down…

Picking up a big fourth down and making a clutch field goal, this program come a long way.  Only four more wins to become Bowl eligible I love it!

Tru Wilson can push the…

Tru Wilson can push the other running backs to run harder

Michigan didn't allow 30+…

Michigan didn't allow 30+ points in their home opener like Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State did.  The defense pitched a complete game.  The offense looked better than it did at any time under Wilton.  Dylan McCaffrey threw a touchdown to a wideout.  This team looked good.

1969 Michigan - Ohio State

Greatest sporting event ever in my life was 1969 Michigan-Ohio State.  Looking back this was the height of Bo's ENTIRE life winning that game, I would not trade 3 National Championships 1970-1972 for that one game.   He was only 40 years old and had an attack within a month after the game, I do not think any coach EVER poured as much into one game.

Back in 1969 Ohio State had the first fans I ever saw that ALL dressed in team colors.  I was a boy scout usher and 20,000 OSU fans were in their seats early doing Buckeye chats because they just knew Ohio State on a 20 something win streak, number 1 in the country, a team beat Michigan 50-14 the year before and who many said should play the Colts in the Super Bowl were expecting a win.  Reminds of the game tonight:  Michigan will bring a top 4 defense, an effective offense into a game where everyone expects 'Nova to win, to the point yes I heard on the Morning Roast podcast "maybe they should play the Warriors or the Rockets".  Hearing you are going to win every minute until a late 8:20 PM CST start is the worst poison on earth, I expect Coach B and Michigan to win.

I saw it on twitter

How much does a person have to drink to shoot double birds and scream F%%$#k Jean at a camera?

Six Point Rule

Since this is the last game for Robinson, I think as soon as he gets in the game he should be in 3 -4 pick n rolls.   Might as well test the theory early.

any losses are inexcusable and a sign of weakness

The "ESPN Guys" make a big deal about 1-6 against top 10 teams the last 3 years.  But IF J. T. Barrett didn't get that extra inch and Michigan had beat MSU this year the whole narrative would SEEM different, but really it would be no different.  Paul Finebaum can go jump in the lake,  quarterbacks REQUIRED to play the right way do not grow on trees.  So far Michigans' only "bad losses" in 3 years were two against MSU.

Yeah the Only Time

The bloom has been taken off the fighting Franklins quick, fast & in a hurry:  Suckeyes 50, nits 6
