Sam Webb had that opinion until he saw him take coaching and play against the competition in the Army bowl. Now, he thinks Wilson may be able to compete as a frosh.
As for Fruhmorgen, I wonder of family issues means he's likely to transfer closer to home in FL.

The gap is pretty amazing this year. JH & Dantonio aren't really comparable on the recruiting trail.
Even though this is a horrible year for Sparty crootin, pre-Dantonio was worse. The top of the class isn't that different as Sparty could get the odd 4 or even 5 star and some other decently rated guys, but the bottom of the class has improved dramatically. The bottom of the class used to be filled out with multiple two stars. That isn't the case this year, and hasn't been for awhile.

100% of walk-on Glasgows have been all-conference impact players and NFLers. May Jordan continue that tradition, I hope. Next Glasgow up!
EDIT: He's got last name Glasgow Walk-on Juju and Jordan first name walk-on Juju...that's some high level Juju!

For the Lions and for this roster it's an A. 2 of 3 years in the post-season is a revelation given this roster.
They over-acheived this year. Letting him play out the contract is fine. Doing it now is fine. It's not great, it's not brilliant, and I'm not confident they'll get it done next year (looking at the roster) but announcing he is staying is a non-event.

Even with a win here, the missed opportunity would have made this a disappointing season. With a loss here, the season is a failure. Missed nearly every goal with a team very capable of achieving all of them. Looking forward to 2017. This season was painful.

Do we know he is healthy? I think better, yes. I also think still dinged and hits will make it worse. I hope I'm mistaken and he is fully back.

OSU has in 2-deep:
5th yr: 0
4th: 9 (6 starting)
3rd: 16 (9 starting)
UM has in 2-deep:
4th (5th next yr): 8 (2 starting) Could lose Hill, JOK, Kugler, Dawson. (bonus: could get Clark back for 5th year)
3rd (4th): 9 (3 starting) Peppers gone
2nd (3rd): 3 (0 starting)
It'll be interesting to see what roles guys like Marshall, Ulizio, Wangler, Washington, Ways, Harris, Jones, Johnson, etc. have in the 2-deep. Hopefully, Newsome has a big one as a 3rd year. UM will have more 5th year next year than OH did this year, but 4th and 3rd impact players will be iffy. A lot will change between now and August obviously.

Gary and Asiasi aren't the exceptions in your post. Harbaugh is, and that's why we got them. Michigan will always be good enough to be contenders for these guys, but closing comes down to standing out amongst the other elites. Harbaugh does that.
Only Weber factors in JH's time, and that was with very little time for JH to build a relationship with him.

I didn't read OP as saying JH is "a problem at Michigan" in any way at all. I also didn't read it as a JH wears out his welcome warning. I just think OP's asking is this specific behavior getting positive or negative results. Are officials influenced? If not, or if negatively influenced, should JH address it?
I don't think its much of a deal either way, and the players seem to like him "having their back." It literally hurt UM in The Game due to a ridiculous call, but I think that's not on JH. I think that's on incompetence in the B1G.

I don't think many people think UM and PSU are tied. There is an element of who are the 4 best, and I think the committee sees the gap as significant.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||You might be right about||
You might be right about that. Every site including the B1G site has NE listed 2nd (I'm guessing due to overall record). They're both 6-3, lost 2 in the division, and IA won the H2H.

I think you mean 1994. It's a funny thing. I heard announcers in the CO-UT game talking about UM fans not being able to forgive the Buffs due to the series history.
While its true that game gutted me, UM really didn't have a great season regardless. It was one loss in a meh season. The rest of the series UM has owned them. That game is historic and shitty, but UM has dominated them and I don't hold much of a grudge.
Go Buffs is pretty easy. Time heals all wounds and so do 3 or 4 curb stompings.
|6 weeks 3 days ago||This may be a problem with||
This may be a problem with semantics. The "deserving" part requires that you play the best all year and have a resume to go with your talent. There are people who would say USC is one of the 4 best teams if everyone played tomorrow. So, by "deserving" I simply mean do you have the talent, and did you execute through the season. So, are you one of the 4 best now, and have you played the best throughout the season overall.

Buddy of mine who lives in TN also texted me today, "...you guys looked good! You didn't deserve to lose. I am excited the Big 10 is back on top of CFB as a conference."
He texted mild smack in The Games in 2014 & 15. Texted during 2014 BTCG as OH routed WI. I bought him a case of beer for each W in their 2014 CFP run. Didn't hear from him this year until today.
|6 weeks 6 days ago||Too GD long a cylce indeed.||
Too GD long a cylce indeed. OP seems intent to mollify only those who actually think this will never end. That is a tiny minority of UM fanatics and even smaller for MGoFanatics. Most of us know it will end, that it is cylical, but FFS it should have ended Saturday!! It just feels like it will never end.
I have seen Bo and Woody's 10 year war. I loved the Cooper 90's, but even with all that perspective, I'm still pissed and crushed and need this to tip back again soon. Neither our own cyclical history nor certainly not that of other teams can assuage my bitterness. Victory is the only tonic.

Agreed. Those points just happened later in the game. It doesn't fully mitigate the fumble, but there doesn't seem to be direct damages associated with it.
|7 weeks 51 min ago||UM is one of the best 4 teams||
UM is one of the best 4 teams in the country. I think they should be ahead of WI and CO if they're both 11-2. I hope that view prevails.
However, I think the committee would not do that if WA loses. They want conference championships to mean a lot, and I think they'll use this example to plant that flag. They have the excuse that the CO and WI wins were at The Big House, and were early in the year. Despite UM's resume, H2H, and tape, I don't have much hope for sound committee reasoning.
EDIT: To take the two non-BTCG participants over the B1G and PAC12 champs is too much for the committee. One will piss someone off already.
