Poor guy…George Helow now has to find another place to peddle Michigan’s signs…err, I mean to coach.

I think the point would be that Jesse would be more likely to stay as DC if we kept Rick (his dad) on as LB coach. The elder Minter has a damn good coaching pedigree as Cinci HC, DC at ND (and others), and LB coach for the Eagles.  Not sure how much he wants to coach and/or be an active recruiter at his age though…

How much to sell your career down the drain? Why hire him to legitimately coach if he will go to the enemy to throw you under the bus as he just did very publicly.

As I said on the "Who should get championship rings" thread, we can now reveal the page of the Manifesto where Stallions outlined the plan to place Helow as a double agent and feed Saban fake signs.

Why is nobody enraged at Bama’s clear cheating? They admire it: what an amazing move by Saban! How clever! Wait Michigan is recording stuff? Gahhhhhhhhhhh

The bad faith moralizing is incredible to behold.

Michigan may have violated a rule based on technicality, but fundamentally did nothing more ethically or competitively questionable than what OSU did when sharing our signs, or what Bama did in hiring Helow or any number of similar, mundane happenings. And yet the program’s detractors gleefully cling to this petty technicality while justifying or even celebrating equivalent behavior elsewhere.

In sum, it simply shows that these are people who should not be regarded as having any integrity. Either they are acting in bad faith entirely, or for some reason espouse the ideal of arbitrary and capricious authority as a virtue; I’m not sure which is worse. Either way, we should be grateful that they’re willing to showcase their turpitude so flagrantly for our benefit.
