most of whom (RR in particular) aren't that buff to be going around in tunics.  possibly a significant copyright violation.  other than that, it's great...

If Oregon's defense runs a play with only ten guys on the field, Hoke should be immediately fired. He has more 10-man plays in his 4 years at Michigan than I'd bet guys like Harbaugh, Saban, and Meyer have had in their whole careers.

this is all kinds of moronic. Hoke didn't have any "10 man plays", there were two instances where a player didn't realise he was supposed to be on the field for a special teams play. this is no different than when there there are 12 men on the field, which is a penalty I've seen dozens of times in college and in the nfl. sometimes a breakdown in communication happens, doesn't mean it was Hoke's fault.

I'm absolutely positively sure that there were more than 2. There may have been two during one game in 2014 alone.

I won't disagree that players forget or get confused on when to go on or come off the field. Occasionally. But Hoke consistently fielded the least-prepared teams I've ever seen. There's nothing moronic about criticizing a coach whose teams have consistent problems lining up correctly - the only debate is whether it's on Hoke's shoulders directly, or indirectly for failing to hire competent assistants.

Your thought process doesn't convince me. I am open to debating this, but you'll have to do better than an insult, a figure which doesn't match my memories, and blaming the players. I'll call your thinking the "we just failed to execute" defense...

I've said it before here: RichRod's Arizona experience is giving us a good idea of what he could do with a clean slate. I don't think anyone believes he has people working against him at U of A, but he's still fielding a lousy defense and reaching too often for flaky recruits. Needless to day, I'm much happier with Harbaugh. The Hoke vs. Rodriguez comparison is more interesting to me. I'd like to see what Brady could do at an Arizona equivalent with his second-tier assistants.

to be the 2nd winnginest coach in Arizona Football history.  That's how bad Arizona footbal history has been with occasional 9-10 wins seasons. Rich Rod is the only coach to have 4 consecutive winning seasons at Arizona.

Arizona is a hard place to recruit because no one wants to come to the desert to play football.

He's not a bad coach overall (even if he is terrible defensively).  But he's also not the elite difference-maker we thought we were getting in 2007.

Here's his yearly D-I records:

2001 - 3-8

2002 - 9-4

2003 - 8-5

2004 - 8-4

2005 - 11-1

2006 - 11-2

2007 - 10-2

2008 - 3-9

2009 - 5-7

2010 - 7-6

2012 - 8-5

2013 - 8-5

2014 - 10-4

2015 - 7-6

That's a solid overall body of work.  But only the 2005-07 stretch really stands out.  We thought he might be able to win at that level in the long run, but it seems now that that was a bit of an outlier caused by the Big East being down (Miami and Va Tech had just left) and his offense being new to college football.

Yes, because the recruiting capabilities of Arizona and Michigan are exactly on parallel. And I love how fans here say shit all the time like "football didn't start when you started beating us" and encourages a long memory. Winning the Pac-12 South was a HUGE accomplishment just the season before last. Now it's a "what have you done lately?" world the minute it suits you.

Fuck you and the idiots upvoting this.
