OT: Reuben Foster has decommitted from Auburn
Reuben Foster just decommitted from Auburn. Which ipso facto, probably helps us with Derrick Green, because Auburn's class doesn't look so strong anymore. I wonder if he regrets getting his Auburn tattoo now?

4 years in Tuscaloosa with that bad boy will be fun.

going to Georgia...book it. Apparently Mark Rict told him he can just cover the tat up on gamedays. ESSS EEE CEE

The most remarkable thing about you standing in the doorway is that it's you, and that you're standing in the doorway.
Anyone? Anyone? Eh?

Back to Alabama?
Seriously though, I still don't understand why kids get so duped by guys like Chizik and Kiffin.
And secondly, why the hell are kids following assistant coaches!? That's just terrible decision making!

As someone else said already, he'll wind up at Georgia. His best friend Tray Matthews is a Georgia commit, and the two have long maintained that they will go to the same school. Foster was waiting to see if Trooper Taylor would stay on staff at Auburn because he has been like a father figure to him. Now that he's gone, the door is open for him to join the Bulldogs.
Probably should have waited on that tat though...

do you know this stuff?
December 7th, 2012 at 1:46 PM ^
I spend pretty much every day reading nothing but recruiting info. Its almost as if it were my job...
December 7th, 2012 at 2:19 PM ^
By all accounts Chizik is in fact an all around good guy. And a good recruiter (along with Trooper) but he's an awful head coach.
December 7th, 2012 at 8:36 PM ^
I don't believe Gus Malzahn thinks Chizik is a good guy.

Do you think Alabama take him back after the way he left them? I mean I guess it would be like us taking Dawson back sans the retarted tattoo.
December 7th, 2012 at 12:04 PM ^
Dawson never committed anywhere else. And (if he recommits) he was out of the fold for like a month.
December 7th, 2012 at 12:18 PM ^
Yep, that darn "retarted" tattoo...
December 7th, 2012 at 12:50 PM ^
Never mind. I missed the d/t switch and now feel like a real moran.

Tarts usually taste better the second time around.
"I thought the dessert was retarted because it tasted so sweet with a slight acidic after-taste."

Re-tarted?
Is that when you have to toast your pop-tart twice inorder for the insides to get gooey?
December 7th, 2012 at 1:29 PM ^
Tarters gonna tart.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:16 PM ^
Hitting "overrated" just isn't satisfying.

Seriously though, I still don't understand why kids get so duped by guys like Chizik and Kiffin.
17-18 year old boys are easily manipulated by attractive female coeds, parties with alcohol, and money.

I'm not so sure that fault is limited to that age demograpic...
December 7th, 2012 at 12:07 PM ^
This is the reason I dont get tatoos..Have a blast covering that mess up...Also, how come I dont see branding scares like Woodley??
December 7th, 2012 at 12:09 PM ^
We should offer.
December 7th, 2012 at 12:10 PM ^
Hire Trooper Taylor and we got him. And then Green as well.

Good athlete, but I'm not sure we want him.

His recruiting saga has shades of Pryor, no? (only more so, I guess)
December 7th, 2012 at 12:15 PM ^
Man that tattoo would be very difficult to remove.
December 7th, 2012 at 12:37 PM ^
I'm sure Ohio State boosters would be able to help him out.
December 7th, 2012 at 2:59 PM ^
Just get a cover up.There's a show called Tattoo nightmare where all there do is cover ups and they are a lot harder to cover than that one foster has.
See picture below....

Perhaps, Cuba diving?

Trooper Taylor is a great recruitor, but he can't coach a lick. I'd rather have a great coach than a great recruitor.
December 7th, 2012 at 12:48 PM ^
If you've got a recruiter on staff that can consistently bring in several top 50 level recruits a year, I'd take him over a coach. Put him in charge of something small like tight ends or something. Hire other coaches to develop the star talent. There's just not that many people like Mattison that are great recruiters and great coaches.
December 7th, 2012 at 12:24 PM ^
He just needs to see these guys!

His top 5: Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Auburn and Washington
One of those schools is not like the others.
December 7th, 2012 at 12:49 PM ^
It's Alabama.
LSU and Auburn both have feline mascots, and Washington and Georgia both have canine mascots.
Alabama's mascot is a bloody body of water being pulled by the moon's gravitational forces.
What do I win?

December 7th, 2012 at 1:03 PM ^
Yeah, Alabama's nickname is the Crimison Tide, but their mascot is an elephant named Big Al. Kind of how Stanford is 'The Cardinal", but their mascot is that weird tree.
