OT - New Favorite "FAIL" gif from tonight's College MBB Dunk Contest

Submitted by Mr. Yost on

Some kid from Eastern Kentucky won it...

Adeian Payne had a sick dunk and a funny celebration...

But the highlight of the dunk contest goes to Cleanthony Early of Wichita St.!

I don't know about 220 at best, look at his feet when he takes off, I'd say at least a 270. Was an incredibly sick dunk, should've saved it for the finals, but his others weren't the best so I guess no guarantee he would've gotten there.

Eh people give high praise to dunks too easily.  Yeah, it was cool, but it was basically just a garden-variety 360 with an ab crunch in the middle.  It just looked impressive because the dude has long arms and moved the ball a lot.

...i saw a headline (something like "payne with a spectacular 360") before i saw the dunk and didn't expect it to not match the hype.  sparty uni notwithstanding, i think it's pretty sick.

he might have wanted to try something like that against uconn instead of standing out at the 3-point line for the entire game.

Adreian Payne gets no props from me for anything.

He is a  pathetic man that should be doing some hard time right now for disgusting things he did to a woman.

Fuck Adreian Payne.. he is pathetic

Well, if nothing else, Early did manage to avoid the people in his path, and by all appearances, the ball sustained little damage in the attempt. Hopefully, he came out of that alright as well, but yeah, I am fairly certain that this was a zero-point dunk. As for Payne, those were not bad at all, and the bowling celebration actually made me chuckle.

Is there anything more played out than dunk contests? We have seen literally every dunk. They were exciting in the 90s and early aughts even, but they are so boring now. The NBA should stop doing it annually and instead have it every three to five years. That leaves people wanting to see it more.

Because Payne is graduating, and because he had a sub-.500 record against Michigan, I can easily admit that I like him as a basketball player, and even more as a person (so the media tells me)
