|6 min 47 sec ago||You're just the kind of weakling that's a problem||
you go to a fucking basketball game to cheer.
I will never forget the balding twenty something curmudgeon who was preciously offended by my loud cheering at the Barclay's last year.
It's you, sir, who have something seriously lacking in the heart department.
UConn fans were plenty loud in the first half. Sounded like a UConn home game.
|18 min 20 sec ago||Team was very poor tonight, but Michigan fans have a problem||
Michigan fans don't fucking cheer enough when the team is down.
I thought there was nobody for our side there at the arena that whole first half. We finally make a run and holy shit, it turns out there are some Michigan people in the crowd.
It's not good enough to just rise up when the team finally gets going. Sometimes you have to try to encourage the guys even when it's not going at all.
I'd love to see a lot more toughness out of our team, but I sure as shit would love to see a lot more toughness out of our fans.
I'll never forget how passive the crowd was at The Game 2007 - hope we have a much fiercer and committed crowd on Saturday.
As for the team, as I said in the game thread, one thing to remember is that a bunch of guys are either readjusting to high D1 game speed or adjusting for the first time. With that said, we'd better see a hell of a lot more out of the guys I'm referring to or we are well and truly boned.
|39 min 57 sec ago||Figures, I just dropped post triple 6||
hell of a night, folks.
|41 min 31 sec ago||Man, I hope that's not all there is to Robinson||
this was my first time getting to actually watch him and it was not good.
In fairness, practice is just practice - this is his first high D1 action and it takes time to get used to the speed of this level.
He's definitely not used to games played at this speed.
Let's hope that's some of what we're seeing out of him right now.
|1 hour 20 min ago||So true||
I was already depressed before the little slice of hell that was that halftime programming.
|1 hour 30 min ago||Fucking hilarious||
|1 hour 37 min ago||I am similarly confused||
and concerned by what I'm seeing.
|1 hour 38 min ago||Seriously, the problem was way more than Caris on the bench||
they looked absolutely terrible even when he was in there.
JB and the staff have surprised me before with the way they've been able to pull a team that looks bad together into something better, but they look fucking horrible right now.
|1 hour 44 min ago||I've got to admit we look terrible||
we look like the fucking jayvee.
Guys who needed to have great offseasons look like they didn't, guys I haven't seen are not impressing.
Early in the season, but this is depressing. Kids look like they're running in mud, not seeing a lot of athleticism out there.
Great, another great shot look against us and another three.
This isn't bad luck, we're being outplayed by a large margin.
|3 days 21 hours ago||Urban is nothing if not a houseboy to the inmates||
so you know we're getting a crap ton of #15. And I just don't know that I believe we can stop it with Glasgow out.
As much as I am enjoying their meltdown, they still have enough talent to give the D that got carved against Minn and IU fits.
People are saying they have no passing O, but on a clear day with the speed they have at the skill positions, particularly if we start getting hammered by #15, they still have that big play capability.
Our kids are going to have to find a very different level to stand up to that - a game nearly free of mistakes - and a fight that shows yet another level of aggression.
I'd favor them, but I hope Harbaugh and Durkin can show us even more than we've seen so far.
|3 days 23 hours ago||You seem bizarrely committed to this topic||
I agree that it doesn't look good, mostly because of where the game is, but it's not impossible. It seems odd to me that a UM fan would be so interested in trying to argue against something that certainly is possible if Cook doesn't play.
|4 days 10 min ago||Yeah, you've sold me||
no longer interested in that scenario. /s
Man, some people really are addicted to the negative, like moths to flame.
|4 days 57 min ago||This occurred to me, as well||
Funny, considering how enraged I was at the time.
I still think a large group of people deserve to be stood against a wall and shot with paintballs over this ridiculous, crappy, randomly enforced targeting rule.
|4 days 1 hour ago||They'll come out with their hair on fire against us anyway||
they're united in their hatred of Michigan
also, they get paid more if they beat Michigan
|4 days 1 hour ago||True. My friend who is a Canes fan said this earlier today||
he wants Butch Davis, but says admin will never let it happen.
So he's hoping Chip Kelly loses every game and gets fired and then hired to the U.
He fears it will be Schiano, and thus, the end.
|4 days 1 hour ago||Ok State getting bombed||
and they have played such a thoroughly horrible game.
Awful performance in all facets.
|4 days 2 hours ago||Well, he's a Michigan quarterback||
so by definition, it cannot be a targeting.
I don't know that I've seen our QBs take more dirty hits in a season than this one = no targeting calls in our favor
You'll rarely see less meaningful contact than Bolden made with Cook = our leading tackler thrown out of the game
FUCK THESE CLOWNS
|4 days 4 hours ago||Still bitter about Bolden's targeting call||
MSU acts like there was nothing controversial about their win over us.
That's still hugely controversial. As if it's not a different game with our leading tackler on the field instead of in the lockerroom.
And Jimmy, welcome back to Michigan. WHERE ABSOLUTELY FUCKING NOTHING - NOTHING EVER will be targeting on a Michigan quarterback.
Yet another week where is it simply fucking incredible that bullshit was targeting on Bolden, and the newest predation on a Michigan QB goes to replay and it's fucking nothing.
Officials on field: "Looks like targeting to me"
-- replay interlude --
Delaney gets on the horn: "That was against Michigan? Fuck 'em."
|4 days 21 hours ago||I hear you, but Michigan fans have got to be stronger than that||
it's early, anyway. A lot can happen.
|4 days 22 hours ago||A team without a home court isn't worth a damn in CBB||
this staff has earned a shit load more than bailing after one crazy year. The students/fans had better back this team or they are weak beyond belief.
Tonight is deeply disheartening, but I'd be willing to bet on these guys surprising.
Sanderson is a genius.
Whether or not they can get something out of Doyle/Wilson/Donnal will be on this staff, whether you place that on recruiting/development/or pure ability to fucking get inside a dude's head.
|4 days 23 hours ago||If there was dissension it was from whiners||
and from the jackassery that emanates out of Detroit, putting idiotic thoughts in our kids' heads.
Amazingly, the coaches knew what they were doing.
Team has to find their way again after a lost year.
|4 days 23 hours ago||I wii say that as soft as it sounds like we played||
we have the softest fucking fanbase.
They will get better.
Just how much better we will see.
|5 days 17 min ago||I believe in Wilson||
but it sounds like everyone has a long way to go.
|5 days 27 min ago||So hacked off and I missed the game||
can only imagine how pissed off I'd be if I sat through that. Just going to delete this from the DVR.
Sounds like some guys need to figure out if they have any juevos or not.
I assume not worth watching? Sounds like they got punked all night long on the boards, and there's not much more to say about it than that?
Grateful I had to walk the dog a few miles to get home and didn't get home in time.
|2 weeks 3 days ago||Here's what was being reviewed:||
as per the Final Drive
The question of was there contact between the DB and the WR at all.
So long as there was *any* contact, the officials' judgment that it was contact sufficient to warrant the call stands.
If they reviewed and saw there was no contact at all, the call could have been overturned because you can't judge the contact to be sufficient to make that call if there is no contact in the first place.
|2 weeks 4 days ago||TARGETING in LSU-Bama||
it's fucking totally special that the hit at the end of the half in that game - where the kid full force struck the other kid in the helmet with his helmet - that this is not targeting
but that fucking pattycake with Bolden that only took our leading tackler out of the game WAS targeting. Fuck this fucking bullshit.
|3 weeks 3 days ago||Wtf with that not being targeting||
I mean, seriously, what the fucking fuck.
Fucking patty cake that does nothing IS targeting, try to separate our quarterback's head from his shoulders, NOT targeting.
I just want to focus on we get the jug and forget everything else that could have gone wrong there but didn't, but this targeting madness, what the hell.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||I've thought about this long and hard||
and after careful reflection have decided that as much as I can put this in perspective, as much as I can even see positives to take from the disaster, I am 100% absolutely and with no meaningful mitigation not over this motherfucking horseshit crap-infested shitball of a calamity. Fuck it all to hell.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Ooh, thanks for that image||
first thing that's made me laugh this weekend.
|5 weeks 3 days ago||Console yourself with the thought||
that this Ruddock helmed team probably isn't good enough to do anything in such a playoff and that were JH, by some miracle, be able to pull out a MNC in his first season, he might eventually lose appreciation for the climb. That's a man who needs to be challenged. A part of me thinks it's a good thing that he is seeing how worth doing all these things are that he intends to do, one hopes, repeatedly.
