These numbers are all bogus…

These numbers are all bogus anyway. we artificially inflate the numbers weekly counting sold tickets, staff, band, and media.

Logic dictates that's true…

Logic dictates that's true. The clear SEC bias in this and every CFP poll makes me think its a distinct possibility.

Notre Dame feels like a step…

Notre Dame feels like a step function when they switched to Book at QB. Whereas we have been steadily improving all season. I think if we continue that trajectory the extra championship game will bump us over them.

fair enough. doesn't change…

fair enough. doesn't change the fact that i will never believe anyone who says a helmet with a sticker on it looks better than one without.

If he did he did it at OSU…

If he did he did it at OSU. Other options include Nebraska and Rutgers.

ESPN says the practice of awarding helmet stickers is often wrongly credited to Ernie Biggs, also a trainer at Ohio State under legendary coach Woody Hayes.[1] They instead claim that the practice of awarding stickers began with Jim Young, former assistant coach at Miami in 1965, two years before they were used by the Buckeyes.[1]

An even earlier attribution is given to Gene Stauber, freshman coach at Nebraska (1955–1957) by head coach Pete Elliott.[2] Stauber routinely used stickers throughout his tenure as assistant coach at Illinois (1960–1970), as a 1962 photo of All-American linebacker Dick Butkus indicates.[3] The stickers stem from fighter pilots marking their planes with stickers after kills and/or successful missions.[4]

Michael Pellowski, in his book “Rutgers Football: A Gridiron Tradition in Scarlet," credits Rutgers defensive backs coach Dewey King with being “one of the first” to award decals for helmets in 1961. The stickers were given for interceptions only so they were more difficult to earn. Every time there was an interception, the crowd yelled “give him the star.” The stars can be seen in this photo of the 1961 team walking from the locker room to the field prior to the season finale against Columbia.[5]

I think they are hideous,…

I think they are hideous, ruin the greatest helmet in football, and it looks like its copying OSU.

Harbaugh said he likes them because its another piece of competition for the players. Might as well be a golden star in elementary school.

I Hate them.

That said, "There's different criteria, there's team criteria for winning, everybody gets one, win a Big Ten game, everybody gets two," he said. "Then there's team turnover margin, unit stickers for defense, for offense and there's individual awards that can be won." - Harbaugh.

Wolverine Devotee also made a post a year ago about the size being smaller. They removed the border i believe.

I agree with that statement…

I agree with that statement. It is Durkins responsibility to own the shortcomings of his staff and the schools medical staff under his supervision. I just don't necessarily agree that firing him is that fix. He should take it and own it and improve. If firing is the biggest result of this that the public cares about then i think we as a society have failed McNair.

i can appreciate that as i…

i can appreciate that as i said sometimes it makes sense to clean house regardless of direct or indirect blame. That path to redemption that i think everyone should have is a fair one.

On a separate note.
Its interesting to me that the medical well being of the athletes is being put under the umbrella of the head coach instead of the university. Take the hoke concussion incident and subsequent concussion protocol here. We expect to have that focus on player safety regardless of our head coach situation from here till the end of football. Its not like it was "Durkin trainers philosophy" that said dont treat for heat stroke. Seems to me a strong argument that the medical staff should be separate and the ultimate authority in these cases. Just saying fire the guy at the top because its a big name and hes evil and we are good and everything will be better seems shortsighted.

I think that's a flimsy…

I think that's a flimsy argument that't based around a house of cards that it was a deliberated and intentional lack of awareness across the entire program. Idealistically i'm with you 100% though. I just don't think that way about the real world.

devils advocate. ignoring…

devils advocate. ignoring the "culture" argument. only the Jordan Mcnair incident.

Head coach doesn't witness him going down, doesn't get informed about him being taken to the trainers, never hears about any of it till its already been the hour between symptoms and treatment.

Is that a firable offence? Taking all of the emotion out of the scenario i honestly dont think he should be held accountable for the position coach and trainers between him and the incident not sorting it out appropriately.

There is more to it than that obviously and even if he wasn't at fault i can commiserate with cleaning house for the sake of a fresh start. It just feels to me like a vast majority of people here and elsewhere are saying fire him and burn the program down as a holier than thou statement.

The whole being in the same room with someone with a tv on for group entertainment while you are on a phone/computer doing something completely different makes less sense to me than questioning video vs text.

I liked to be able to go to the website with 1 click, see if i was missing anything new at a glance. I might end up adding a favorite button for the board separately. Its just inconvinient.

I also don't like that the Joined date/points section is larger than most of the posts. The whole site just take a ton of space

I like the new site, But it bothers me how far down i have to scroll to get to the board. On the old site i could see it without scrolling at all. Now its 2.5 pages down. 1 full page just to see diaries.

Also, the fact that i have to upload picture/gifs to post is annoying.

There were a lot of things in

There were a lot of things in that game that should not have been a foul that were. Basket went in, no foul called, and no diving called so its kinda moot. Good presence of mind play, just happens to be one of the various things about basketball i dont like to see.
