Night games bring out the best in our crowd
5-1 in home night games now, and even last year in the bad offensive showjng the crowd was awesome. I may be slightly drunk still, but just saying. Being at the games it's like night and day (haha). Very loud and very into it. Please make Penn State one too.
Also the music guy deserves a raise for playing jump around at the end.

I hate waiting around all day for the games but if it gives us an edge, let's do it!
October 14th, 2018 at 12:01 AM ^
The wings and numbers looked uniquely good under the lights. As did the endzone.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:03 AM ^
I was shocked at how into it the crowd was, even with all the stalled first half drives. I loved standing the whole game.
October 14th, 2018 at 2:07 AM ^
Worse than the stalled drives were the long commercial time outs. Really takes the edge off of the crowd.
October 14th, 2018 at 8:24 AM ^
Even worse watching from home.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:04 AM ^
Can they make the lights brighter?
Can we get some shirt coordination? Why wasn't this a maize out?
It seemed quiet.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:14 AM ^
It was loud. A pretty decent contingent still shouting for the D when we had it well in hand in the 4th. And it sounded loud on TV.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:26 AM ^
I was one of those who those who stood the entire game and screamed whenever Wisconsin had the ball!
October 14th, 2018 at 12:31 AM ^
Dude, I could hear you on TV. You sounded like the girl band member screaming when our basketball team played Houston in the NCAA tournament..
October 14th, 2018 at 12:35 AM ^
My voice is gone now, 10/10 would do it again.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:51 AM ^
It was not loud on my TV, but I had it on mute so I wouldn't have to listen to herbie or fowler yap.
October 14th, 2018 at 4:20 AM ^
Did that too at first! But I turned on the radio and it aligned perfectly with the game action. A pleasant surprise! And it was worth it!
October 14th, 2018 at 2:11 AM ^
Kudos to the student section. Actually thought that the rest of the stadium was somewhat reserved. Students in maize were going bonkers the whole game and stayed till the end.

Random Loudest BigHouse Memory: Four of us seated about 5-6 rows up from the bottom at the 2002 UM v Wash game on the UM sideline. One of Washington’s last possessions went to 3rd and long and our side of the stadium started roaring and down where we were you could actually feel the power of the noise at our backs and it was sustained. When Washington was forced to punt, the typically low key Lloyd turned around smiling and gave the stands a thumbs up. We all looked at each other and said WOW did that really just happen? When Brabbs hit the last second fg, we made our way left to the railing where me and my buddy ended up getting into a group hug sandwich with Shante Orr who had leapt up to us and about five random people around us as we chanted how great it was to be a Michigan Wolverine.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:40 AM ^
If you weren’t there of course it was quiet! But in my section we were loud as loud could get! Like when they put on the Jumbotron in the third quarter,”Wisconsin would like to ask a favor from the Michigan fans, please be quiet!” Trust me we were extremely loud and this night was not only a success. It was electric. GREAT WIN AND GO BLUE!

Answers:
- Why, they were just fine
- Email Warde, and
- Take your tv off of mute.

@catchafire
What is this bs? Loud as fcuk in my section. As intense and loud as I've heard.
Get the hell off my lawn.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:07 AM ^
We should play as many home night games as we can, if for no other reason that we really seem to struggle in them on the road. Maybe playing more of them at home will help, who knows. If we ever make a NCG, that thing ain’t kicking off at noon EST.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:07 AM ^
Looked like the crowd was rocking on the tube. Good job, folks.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:08 AM ^
The jump around trolling was amazing
October 14th, 2018 at 12:09 AM ^
The great crowd started this morning, with the GameDay crowd. The Big House looked beautiful! Yeah, lets do these night games more often!
And yeah, playing Jump Around was a first class troll...
October 14th, 2018 at 12:45 AM ^
I would say it was half a troll job as it is in the Big House playlist, but not on the very top of the playlist. Hope the Wisconsin team enjoyed as we wanted them to feel at home!

I saw an ND fan on twitter claim that they “manhandled” Michigan.
OSU fans may have met their match in ignorance
Edit: I saw a post today where an OSU fan essentially said urban Meyer was a comparable moral equivalent to Jesus Christ.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:25 AM ^
I'm glad ND isn't in a conference. I don't have to watch their games or care about them at all. They aren't playing for anything. USC up on Colorado. USC has the talent. They looked awful in the loss to Texas but hopefully they can improve and beat ND at home
October 14th, 2018 at 12:57 AM ^
The only problem USC has is Clay Helton. Yeesh! What an egregious hire he was...
October 14th, 2018 at 5:06 AM ^
My dad-in-law is a very quiet retired professional gentleman who rarely criticizes or gets animated about anything. I caught his other side the very first time I discussed ND football with him. He unleashed his apparent deep seated disgust with ND and how they in essence “don’t have the balls to join a conference so they don’t have to play anyone of consequence unless they g-d damned feel like it. Screw those guys.” It was then that I realized I had married right....well, that and uh, the wife, of course.

Thanks for the twitter updates on random people who have nothing to do with the thread!
October 14th, 2018 at 9:26 AM ^
God, all your comments are just awful...
Edit: Yup, this is going in the moderation action thread. Hopefully a trip to Bolivia mellows you out.
Example 4 (This is my favorite, you got super mad at someone who called you a Sparty when you have a Sparty profile picture)

Awwww, I have a fan. I'm flattered
October 14th, 2018 at 12:10 AM ^
My section was standing all night, for which I was grateful. They definitely got louder in the second half. I would welcome more noise from start to finish, but wow, was a great atmosphere late into the game.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:13 AM ^
One of the better crowds I’ve been a part of in the stadium. No one complaining about standing, everybody yelling in our section, and huge celebrations for positive plays. I got home a bit ago to a few of my OSU buddies saying that it looked like our stadium was rocking. It took a lot for them to say that unprompted.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:15 AM ^
The crowd sounded AMAZING on TV. Loved it!
October 14th, 2018 at 12:16 AM ^
That was so much fun. So glad I was able to go to that game. We were loud in there. What an incredible night. Go Blue!!
October 14th, 2018 at 12:16 AM ^
This made night game #4 for me. Nothing compares to the crowd of the first one, however, tonight was a really strong effort. Almost everyone I could see was standing the majority of the game. Lots of first time Badger fans around me, and they were incredibly impressed.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:50 AM ^
No home night game will ever top UTL1. Incredibly grateful I got to experience that piece of Michigan football history. First night game, huge comeback, miracle finish, and against the Domers. That era definitely sucked, but it has its moments
October 14th, 2018 at 12:18 AM ^
My section is 23, the pinnacle of old shits who throw temper tantrums when someone stands up or cheers loudly. We stood the entire game. Really awesome experience.
October 14th, 2018 at 1:42 AM ^
Fellow Section 23er here - and I loved the standing and glad I didn’t hear anything from old shits. They stood through it too! Awesome night.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:19 AM ^
Night games force the blue hairs to stay home. Past their bedtime. The crowd who shows up is more loud and energetic. It showed on tv.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:24 AM ^
what age qualifies one to be a blue hair, asking for a friend?
And YEAH the stadium was rocking tonight
October 14th, 2018 at 1:22 AM ^
I saw a 80+ year old woman with a walker who stayed the entire game and enjoyed herself. Pretty cool !
October 14th, 2018 at 12:20 AM ^
Amazing crowd and great experience. Normally seated section 17 was standing literally every play.
October 14th, 2018 at 12:22 AM ^
Crowd was electric!! Fuck the losers who say our stadium isn’t that loud. Dumbasses!
October 14th, 2018 at 12:26 AM ^
(Ha
Ha)
October 14th, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
And....the student section was close to filled up after halftime ?
October 14th, 2018 at 12:29 AM ^
Night games are awesome. All day tailgating is great because instead of going 5-0 playing bags I go 10-0. Also the game looks awesome at night and we win! Beat State
October 14th, 2018 at 12:37 AM ^
Special K had himself a night.... the jump around troll was pretty good though.
October 14th, 2018 at 1:12 AM ^
I was second row from the front and stood the entire game. The guys around me were awesome! I have zero voice left. What a game!
October 14th, 2018 at 1:46 AM ^
Amazing night and the environment was some of the best you can get out of Michigan Stadium.
I’m still on Team Noon Games, but now for a different reason - I think that the home night games should be a one every two year thing to keep the novelty and electrifying effect of it alive.
Let’s not get too used to and spoiled by this kind of game, kind of like how outdoor hockey went from awesome to irrelevent. Let’s keep night games in AA awesome.
October 14th, 2018 at 1:55 AM ^
Truly incredible. As a young alumni, that was my first game not in the student section and we still stood almost the entire time. Amazing.
Props to everyone there and an amazing team on an amazing performance.
GO BLUE, BEAT STATE!
