OT - Lions vs. Ravens Monday Night Football Open Thread

On a positive note, it's only a 2 point game.  So it's still very close.

Man, that keeps happening.  Our DL is about to get Flacco, and he somehow wiggles out of the way.

Ugggh.  Flacco doing a great Big Ben impression.   We need to convert one of these sacks.  

The Lions always find ways to lose! Good bye Schwartzie if they don't make the playoffs. Kind of happy since I actually heard Gruden is very high on the Lions and think they have the talent to win the superbowl. What he did not mention is that they don't have a coach to win enough games to get into the playoffs. I think Gruden wants the Detroit job. I hope he gets it!

 worst play calling team in the league.  You run for 9 yards on 1st and 2nd down, you've ran well all night, and you empty the fucking back field on 3rd and 1 when you're likely in 4 down territory.  Deserve to lose.

Pathetic that they cannot even play well at home.

Their FG kicker puts it perilously close to that left post, but always makes it in.

I say decline the penalty.

These refs are an embarrassment to officiating.

I'm waiting for one of the referees to hit one of our receivers with a chair. We're approaching WWE levels here.

At the end of the day though, gotta play through it, defense can't be giving up 20+ yard plays with the consistency they are.

And of course we can't have two bad drops from Megatron too.

These plays aren't that hard to call Jon, it's just that the refs don't want to call them for the Lions.  That's three awful calls/missed calls this game that the announcers have noticed.  Imagine what they're not noticing.  Why have refs gotten so bad in all sports?

There better be a statement from the NFL on the officiating in this game.  The whole country is watching.

mockery.  Lets fine guys for wearing the wrong colored socks, but our officials can change games and playoff pictures with blatant missed or phantom calls with no consequence.  Fuck this.

So why is it a big surprise? Any ways the Lions suck. Time for them to get eliminated from the playoffs!

Maybe Mr. Ford needs to remind Mr. Goodell just who buys a very healthy chunk of advertising from the NFL on an annual basis...
