|26 weeks 1 day ago||I have this||
discussion with one of my good friends who is an MSU fan on a weekly basis. There is NO WAY that punt is blocked if he catches the ball. As it is, he drops it, takes two steps forward, picks it up and attempts to kick it again when he is finally hit. If he catches it, he takes a step to his right and its gone. Also, despite the formation, the play was blocked correctly. The three Spartans coming from his left are intentionally unblocked and every guy coming from his right is picked up. The play was designed for O'neill to step to the right and kick, and if you look there is plenty of time/room for that to happen with a clean catch. Sparty's are delusional if they think anything they did caused that play to unfold the way it did.

Honestly, since I've embraced the craft beer revolution, I drink on a far higher number of days. However, I drink far fewer beers in the process. One or two Imperial IPAs of some sort a day (a few more on the weekends), as opposed to 15 Bud Lights 3 times a week.
|36 weeks 2 days ago||On that subject,||
I thought they easily could have flagged LJ Scott for taunting after he scored Sparty's first TD, that should have been negated by a hold and that was setup by the most terrible targeting call in the history of the rule. Goddamn, these refs sucked.
|36 weeks 2 days ago||Check out the end of the Rudock (non) facemask.||
Looks to me like Frey subtly knees Rudock, which I would give the benefit of the doubt to as being momentum, until he gets up and then kicks Jake in the facemask. The clip is stopped right as this is happening, and he tries to disguise it by "jumping" in celebration, but sure looks bush league to me.

about it immediately, but was appeased when they stopped him short. Definitey saw it the way you did, tho.
|37 weeks 3 days ago||Another thing||
my untrained eye thought it saw, was that MSUs safeties are terrible filling the proper gaps. You gotta think Harbaugh will have a field day screwing with their run fits, as long as our OLine isn't getting dominated.
|37 weeks 3 days ago||I noticed||
watching the Rutgers replay earlier tonight, that alot of Cook's completions, especially on third down, were to WRs that were pretty tightly contested. Not sure if the Rutgers DBs were poor at raking or finding the ball, or if MSUs WRs are just that strong. Think this will be a key tho, because alot of the throws were under pressure where Cook had to just put it up and let his guy make a play, which is something I think Rudock will have to finally do himself some. MSU really seems to like the back shoulder fade. Jourdan Lewis should deal well, but I think our second corner / Peppers will be tested more than they have in coverage yet.

I agree. Kicking a guy out for a bang bang play like that is ridiculous. A penalty? Maybe. I don't think so, but that's football these days. An ejection? No fucking way.

the punter doesn't even jump and instead just spins and sprints backwards.

saved that game at the end of regulation by hustling back and preventing a game winning layup after Juwan thru the inbounds pass away. I bet Tyus Edney still kicks himself in the ass over that play.
|51 weeks 13 hours ago||I'll toss in two:||
The opening round game of the 1992 Rainbow Classic vs Carolina. Jalen grabbed an offensive rebound and banked in a shot at the buzzer for a 79-78 win. The game was in Maui I believe, so it ended after midnight. I was only 12 at the time, and vividly remember my dad and I jumping up and high fiving each other at the end.
Also, the Final Four game against Cincinati and Nick Van Exel. Everybody said the veteran Bearcats and their press would rattle the kids. Not so much.
|51 weeks 1 day ago||While IPS panels||
are superior for wide angle viewing, VA panels provide superior contrast ratio. Most Samsungs and Sony's use VA panels, while LG uses IPS. Because of that, LG sets are great for off center viewing, but often struggle to produce deep blacks that are so important for a great picture. Unless your setup will include viewing from the side of the TV, a set with a VA panel is the way to go.

Kuhnhenn brewry in Warren earlier. I live 2 miles from the place, and it is unbelievable how every time I drive by it, no matter the time of day, how packed it is. You're not likely to find any of their stuff outside of the brewery itself, but if you have time for a 45 minute trek, you won't be disappointed. I'm an IPA guy, and their "Dripa" (a double IPA) is legendary.
Also, if you make it to Kuhnhenns, I would advise you to also visit a store called Champanes that is no more than a mile away. Its a wine/beer specialty store, and their selection of craft beers is impressive. They claim over 500 different selections, and while I can't say that isn't an exaggeration, it isn't far off if it is. Their beer section is broken up into Michigan breweries, national breweries, and international stuff. On top of that, they recently opened a "pub" in one corner of the store (its a large building). Its basically an area with some tables and chairs, and a bar with a row of 24(!) taps with generally hard to find craft beers from Michigan and beyond that changes monthly.
As far as grabbing something to take home, I'll add a couple of local (Metro Detroit) selections: Griffin Claw's 'Norm's Raggedy Ass IPA" and Rochester Mill's 'Cornerstone IPA.' Both are available in 4 packs of 16 oz cans, I believe.
And one more seasonal selection: Bell's Christmas Ale is not one of their more well renowned brews, but it is one I look forward to this time of year.

In that situation, kick the damn ball as far as possible in the direction away from your goal as soon as you have the opportunity.
