was possibly the best Star Wars of any of them. At least right up there with ESB. Very impressed. Definitely looking forward to more of these offshoot movies.

Who is playing against the "best defense in the country" next week? Because it's not us.
|15 weeks 2 days ago||Yes.||
Penn State's defense had a bunch of injuries when they played Michigan, which prevented Penn State's offense from hitting their season average for points by 4 touchdowns... Solid logic.

his hypothetical weather scenarios are misguided. OSU has issues outside their offense performing in poor weather. Blaming the weather is wishful thinking.

the games as a whole because of obviously different circumstances, but I'm certainly encouraged by Wiscy's ability to run the ball between the tackles. That is something I think we can replicate while using a relatively safe gameplan to protect Speight if necessary.
Also encouraging was the relative lack of success OSU had doing the same to UW. We were able to get 4 plus yards a carry with our backs against the same defense.

a cider mill trip with the kids with the stipulation we will be home for the 3:30 games. Not much interest with the noon games, beside the slight hope NC State can give Clemson a run.

Thanks for sharing.

I agree that a "slightly above average performance" by a QB would have put 21 points up against us. The only big miss was the play where Stribling fell down. He perhaps missed some throws that would have been first downs, but what are the odds that those drives would have ended with anything other than a punt 3 plays later?
|22 weeks 2 days ago||I don't think||
he played all that well at ND. A lot of ugly balls from him in that game.
|22 weeks 5 days ago||Perhaps its||
my general paranoia, but any chance that the play with no plan to block Peppers was an attempt to draw a targeting call on him? First drive of the game, let's give him a free run at a guy and hope he hits him high type of thing? Probably a stupid thought, but I just hate the fucking targeting rule. I have this fear Dantonio instructs O'Connor to run at Peppers early in the game, slide late, and then act hurt if Pepp hits him. I know MSU is a month off still, good old Mark just seems like a prime candidate to pull those type of shenanigans. I should probably take off the tin hat...

O'Connor looked shaky at best. Lots of wounded ducks, and they were clearly playing it safe with him on passing downs late. They didn't want him throwing the ball if they could help it.

this and when I bought my tv last year, I bought a high end 1080p Samsung from the previous year (H7150). The problem now is, to get a high end TV with the technology that produces a great picture, you have to pay the premium for 4K, because manufacturers are only putting those features in their 4K models.
I love my TV, and because I was fine with 1080p only, I went with 75" over the 65" 4K that was in my price range. I'm far happier with the bigger screen than with the limited 4K content I would be able to find. If anything, I think the bigger benefits of newer 4K sets is HDR and the wider color gamut that the new TVs are offering. Those things will improve picture quality far more than greater resolution, especially since very few people sit right on top of their televisions for viewing. I sit 15+ feet from my tv, and at that distance I would need something like a 140" screen to see any benefit of 4K over 1080p!

Great site for reviews, as well as learning about the technology. Should help in deciding what you do and don't need for your usage.

|1 year 8 weeks ago||I have this||
discussion with one of my good friends who is an MSU fan on a weekly basis. There is NO WAY that punt is blocked if he catches the ball. As it is, he drops it, takes two steps forward, picks it up and attempts to kick it again when he is finally hit. If he catches it, he takes a step to his right and its gone. Also, despite the formation, the play was blocked correctly. The three Spartans coming from his left are intentionally unblocked and every guy coming from his right is picked up. The play was designed for O'neill to step to the right and kick, and if you look there is plenty of time/room for that to happen with a clean catch. Sparty's are delusional if they think anything they did caused that play to unfold the way it did.

Honestly, since I've embraced the craft beer revolution, I drink on a far higher number of days. However, I drink far fewer beers in the process. One or two Imperial IPAs of some sort a day (a few more on the weekends), as opposed to 15 Bud Lights 3 times a week.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||On that subject,||
I thought they easily could have flagged LJ Scott for taunting after he scored Sparty's first TD, that should have been negated by a hold and that was setup by the most terrible targeting call in the history of the rule. Goddamn, these refs sucked.
|1 year 18 weeks ago||Check out the end of the Rudock (non) facemask.||
Looks to me like Frey subtly knees Rudock, which I would give the benefit of the doubt to as being momentum, until he gets up and then kicks Jake in the facemask. The clip is stopped right as this is happening, and he tries to disguise it by "jumping" in celebration, but sure looks bush league to me.

about it immediately, but was appeased when they stopped him short. Definitey saw it the way you did, tho.
|1 year 19 weeks ago||Another thing||
my untrained eye thought it saw, was that MSUs safeties are terrible filling the proper gaps. You gotta think Harbaugh will have a field day screwing with their run fits, as long as our OLine isn't getting dominated.
|1 year 19 weeks ago||I noticed||
watching the Rutgers replay earlier tonight, that alot of Cook's completions, especially on third down, were to WRs that were pretty tightly contested. Not sure if the Rutgers DBs were poor at raking or finding the ball, or if MSUs WRs are just that strong. Think this will be a key tho, because alot of the throws were under pressure where Cook had to just put it up and let his guy make a play, which is something I think Rudock will have to finally do himself some. MSU really seems to like the back shoulder fade. Jourdan Lewis should deal well, but I think our second corner / Peppers will be tested more than they have in coverage yet.

I agree. Kicking a guy out for a bang bang play like that is ridiculous. A penalty? Maybe. I don't think so, but that's football these days. An ejection? No fucking way.

the punter doesn't even jump and instead just spins and sprints backwards.
