OT- HS Freshman Seventh Woods Mixtape
Check out HS freshman phenom Seventh Woods' mixtape. Some people are starting to make Lebron comparisons.

Ummmmm... YES PLEASE! That is just absurd.
The same exact thing happens everytime I play the Washington Generals too.
First time I saw his name, I thought he was in the Seventh grade.
No, but that was only two years ago. Which is ridiculous.
What an awesome name. His parents must have consulted George Costanza on the name.
Thank you sir
Seventh is unreal. He continues to rise when he jumps. Great handle. Easily a future pro and probably the most deserving of the "next LeBron/Jordan" label out of all of the HS mixtapes I've seen.
Eh let's not get ahead of ourselves here, we have no idea how well he can shoot.
First time I saw his name I thought seventh woods was the name of the school
WOW. That is one hell of a mixtape for a HS freshman. Probably the most entertaining one I've seen since Andrew Wiggins, and Woods still has 3 years until he goes to college. Mindblowing.
Kid is ridiculous, has everything you'd want in a ball player. Obviously athletic, great handle so he can create his own shot, court vision you can't teach that lets him facilitate, heady defensive presence...man alive we very well could have the next coming of Lebron James if he keeps growing!
NCAA refs are gonna call him for that carry on his crossover. And all those clean blocks will probably be a foul too.
Lot tougher to be the next LeBron when you are 6'2". LeBron was 6'6" as a high school soph, so it woudn't be unheard of for Seventh to get there. Kid is just an incredible athelete, makes me feel inadequate barely being able to dunk at 6'6".
won't he go directly to NBA in all likelihood?
To my knowledge, basketball players can't jump directly from high school to the NBA anymore.
Athletic enough to make the jump over the NBA's dumb rule
but if he turns out to be as ridiculous as it seems he will be, he could play overseas for a year and get paid as opposed to playing in the NCAA (see: Brandon Jennings)

But a kid like that probably doesn't need to bother with college ball. Graduate. Spend a year working out/protecting your ankles, go top 5.
Great player, but the guy editing the video got carried away at times.
Speaking of carries..I wonder how many times that ridiculously high crossover gets called for a carry.
Let's not get too carried away with this kid yet. I'll be interested in seeing how he does next year against the Junior Varsity competition. If he is still doing this, then I'll be impressed.
Pretty sure he is playing at the varsity level, just an FYI

That was meant to be the joke. Guess it wasn't obvious.

Not at all. This is not meant to be a joke either.
What happened to Woods 1-6?
This kid is clearly going to be great, but I wouldn't call him the next LeBron by any means. This mix actually reminds me a lot of John Wall's in HS.

Dude must have been averaging 50 points and a quadruple double in his middle school league last year
"And why is he sending me money in birthday cards?"
"Shhhhh, Seventh, be quiet and give me the cash. And then send him a text that your price has gone up. Momma needs a new car and a vacation cruise."
MaxPreps delivers some of his stats for this past season at Woods' school here (LINK).
This confirms that he is listed on the varsity squad, and as a freshman on the varisty squad, he average 19.3 point per game, 4.3 assists per game, 3.5 rebounds per game and has scored 443 points on the season. His individual game stats are on the MaxPreps site.
As for the video, I have to wonder if the O/U on Division I offers will be at 90% of the division. That's incredible.
will be enormous, and the parasites who'd like to get attached to him are undoubtedly already licking their chops and counting their money.
Deadspin hit it right on the head, referring to "his eventual one-year Kentucky career."
Hmmmm... that MaxPreps link has him at 6'1. Probably not going to be the next Lebron. Now the next Derrick Rose...
