OT - Bo Pelini calls out Ole Miss & recruit's parents
Damore'ea Stringfellow decomitted from Nebraska earlier this summer to go to Ole Miss. Bo Pelini is mad and surprisingly willing to explain why.
"Read between the lines," Pelini said. "I think we all know what happened in that situation."
He then blames the parents for the decision.

Calling parents clueless...foly huck thats nuckin futs
How DARE you! Where's the career? What am I paying for?
The only reason(s) why they don't already do that??
Only I can think of:
- Risk of getting sued for libel
- They know they aren't 100% clean, either
- Some bullshit code of secrecy amongst the coaches
I think that #3 is it. It's pretty risky to speak out about this shit. You are risking burning a lot of bridges when you do it. Pelini might need a new job after this season. He might be killing his chance at getting a high paying job at a rich SEC West program.
He's effectively crossed off Ole Miss as a potential desitination for a job. I'm sure he's very upset about that, as Mississippi is most definitely not the most corrupt state in the Union.
Job security might come into play. You can't keep speaking out against all of the schools that are 'dirty' - but one in particular? I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
Hell, Lane Kiffin has put his foot in his mouth countless times and he's managed high profile jobs at Tennessee, USC, and Alabama. College coaching doesn't exactly follow a logical path.
Or are you arguing w/ Fortune magazine who ranks Mississippi #1 in corruption

Or is my sarcasm meter of kilter?
#4 it makes you look bad to other recruits. No one wants their dirty laundry aired if things go sour and it's harder to trust a person that can't handle rejection without throwing around allegations.
that was awesome. More coaches should say that.
Ole Miss is coming after your cat, Bo.
Read between the lines . . . all the Little Friskies you can eat.
but at least he's never boring
Between this and the cat entrance at the spring game, I think I like Bo Pelini now. I hope he stays at Nebraska forever
Don't even try to tell me this isn't the greatest thing to happen to college football in years
but Bo Pelini lifting a cat over his head like he's freakin Simba makes me want a cat
Thanks for that, now that song will be stuck in my head all damn day.
Pink pajamas, penguins on the bottom
Bo probably saving himself some headaches. Busted heads in Seattle the night of the Super Bowl. Then off to Lincoln. Now this.
Continuing his rant, Bo blustered on that "all you cornstalk parents can go to hell if you don't like what I said about that punk's ole miss parents"...then, after brutally staring down no one in particuar, Pelini stalked out of the room, flipping Gentleman Tom the bird and kicking Herbie Husker as he left. Looks like Bo is ready for the season opener.
This whole thread is pure gold, but that comment may take the cake. Well done sir.
I agree with the dog. There's no reason to soft peddle this. They're dirty.
The Aurora Borealis? At this time of year? At this time of day? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen the Ole Miss football program?
They've got more bagmen than Washington has corrupt politicians.
that when there's smoke the NCAA generally does a shoddy job of investigating, lets the University dictate the path of that investigation, accepts completely ridiculous reasoning for improprieties and lets said institution skate with little in the way of substantive punishments.
Right Columbus?
There's delicious BBQ?
I'm really starting to like Pelini.
I used to hate Pelini, but between this and him embracing the cat meme that made fun of him, and walking into the stadium with the cat, I'm actually starting to like Pelini now. It's hilarious how he's always basically daring Nebraska to fire him. He doesn't give a F**k.
we play them this year.
If Breaking Bad taught me anything it's there's nothing more awesome than man with nothing to lose.
I really wish his name was not "Bo".
Bo Pellini has become the most entertaining coach in the Big Ten. By a country mile.
lost the bidding war for Cam Newton didn't that prove they were clean?
