Da fuq???

I don't see anything different, at all.  Saw the Drupal landing page late last night, and couldn't access the site through the app this morning, but right now I have the old site up (seemingly) and running.

If this is the new and improved site, it sure looks a lot like the old site to me!  (What's that song???)

Can anyone else see this? On my end, the board looks like it always has, but I am seeing what looks like the same issue that we had once before where replies became threads for some reason. Anyone else seeing symptoms of that as well?

The only thing I notice different is that the banner photo is not showing up (getting the broken link icon).

EDIT: I was on Chrome when I posted originally.  Went on IE, and the banner photo shows there.

The new version of the site is amazing guyz.  Can't believe you guys still are stuck here.  I came back to just check out the old charm.  See you over there!

Looks the same to me. Using Chrome. I am so sceptical of any board changes at this point. I'll believe it when I see a new board and use a new board for a couple weeks. Until then . . .

Yes, I actually thought through that whilst typing. Why I chose sceptical? Dunno.

This isn't the first time I've wondered about word spellings. I remember when working for GM many years ago that the preferred spelling was "employe," not "employee." Always felt odd. Don't know whether they still continue that spelling quirk.

There are a bunch of alternate spellings out there. Here are a few where I've been thrown off:

  • acknowledgement/acknowledgment
  • aesthetic/esthetic (used this the other day in reference to obnoxious signage.)
  • ax/axe
  • collectible/collectable
  • donut/doughnut
  • flier/flyer (this is another one I used recently in communication with a graphic artist)
  • gray/grey (Also name of my brother-in-law. Never quite remember how to spell name.)
  • toward/towards
  • whiskey/whisky (my sister just wrote and shot pics for a long article on bourbon. She goes for "whiskey," and that's my preference too. LINK:  https://www.boozemuse.com/2015/09/25/bonding-over-bourbon-chicagos-best-bars-keep-kentucky-close/

Judgment/judgement. I think the American spelling does not have "e," but people, screw it up all the time. I also get tripped up by flier/flyer. And I think there are alternate spellings of pajamas and yogurt, but I'm too lazy to look them up right now.

The rumor that I heard regarding "employee" vs "employe" was that it would ultimately save on toner.  I have always suspected that this was BS, so take it with a large grain of salt.
