Ajijic, Jalisco. Mexico. …

Ajijic, Jalisco. Mexico.  Pros:  Considered among top four climates in the world. Beautiful, small-town atmosphere with a lively malecon (beach walk) and plaza (town square) scene. Fresh fruits and vegetables sold daily during walks. Great Mexican food, of course. Children are respectful and polite, women are beautiful. Nice bars, restaurants, entertainment.  Is not the U.S.

Cons:  Not too many

I have to disagree with your…

I have to disagree with your assessment,Smoked Brie  an....  Cameron could do no more than dominate every team he played against. Done. He took the leap from a tiny Div 8 school to a top three(HS) program and faced the best talent the state has to offer. Rushing for over 2000 yds and breaking the single season rushing record at Muskegon High takes more than good athleticism, maybe fantastic.  He's a good one.

What kind of asshole posts…

What kind of asshole posts something like this without a fucking warning it's a pay for site?

Although many considered UM…

Although many considered UM the leader, basically from the time they offered, I would caution against this line of thought. Based on the words of the young man, I think ND holds a special spot in Cam's heart. Hope I am wrong. They young man is very exciting to watch.

Appears he just wanted a few…

Appears he just wanted a few more strokes. God bless the man. You,sir, are my hero.

He was there to meet his…

He was there to meet his brother, Al, who was in AA on a recruiting visit. Man was a legend from Polk High. Once scored four touchdowns in a single game. Great player, but knocked up his gf and became a shoe salesman.

Would that be right below…

Would that be right below her Blue Ridge Mountains?

Well after driving in this…

Well after driving in this Big Three forsaken place for far too many years, I would have to  weigh in  with a "well we had better be." We have roads on par with a third world nation's rural routes.  I believe the reason for this, in large part, has to do with the number of uninsured. The reason a large part of these are uninsured is because they lost their licenses due to the DWI statutes. They purchase insurance just long enough to get plates or re-tabbed. These are probably the most careful drivers in the country. They realize if they get popped for a stupid traffic violation, their asses are going to be right back in the grey bar, and they ain't diggin that chit.

Actually, all did not commit…

Actually, all did not commit elsewhere. They just realized football was full time and some of the weight room requirements did not transfer to the mat as well as it did to the field. Off the top of my head, I can think of Terrance Taylor, Mike Teeter and Rob Renes.

Centenario Tequila con agua…

Centenario Tequila con agua minerala, y poquito coke.  Muy, muy bien.

You are assuming these star…

You are assuming these star rankings can't be manipulated? We are all aware they are right now. Certain areas of the country are limited as to four and five star talent now. The rankings are manipulated to keep interest at the highest level possible until signing day.  When a four or five star commits, pay attention. You will see there is a commensurate shift of talent in the next ranking, making then 3*s into 4 and 4s into 5s.  It's a subscription based business.

"The talent gap was much…

"The talent gap was much wider between Michigan and OSU in 1969 but somehow Bo won that game and closed that gap in 2 to 3 years."

My guess is the above is what you think to be true. However, it is completely false and Bump and Co. actually had a shit load of talent in Ann Arbor when Bo arrived. How much? Bo inherited more future AAs than in any other five year period in Michigan history. Just think McKenzie, Deirdorf, Mandich. That is three OLmen that went on to become not just AAs, but NFL HOFers,. One of those didn't even start in 1969. Wasn't even on the two deep.

This is not meant to vilify the nature of your post, merely to provide facts.

Not likely. Emphasis will be…

Not likely. Emphasis will be placed on seasoning those who will contribute down the stretch.

I love that dutchbag

Some of my favorite football memories are from Hackley Stadium, both as a fan and a coach. That school has always loved its football and there is no doubt who has been number one in this town for, well forever.  Similar to Michigan you can sense the tradition just being seated and imagine Bennie(don't know if that stadium was built at that time), Earl and many of their past greats. Wonderful high school facility.

Listen up Scrotum

We all know Tom's numbers and you're right, what he does at NE reflects on the school but is not part of our tradition. However, part of your's, a large, very large part is the number of violations The Vest tallied. And what does your piss for a brain qb do during the Car Gate in Columbus. Duh, the cameras are here. I think I'll show them this new car I'm driving this fucking month. I mean the decision of the more prestigous program - win within the rules - is over the second you ask yourself, UM or OSU? Now kindly get the fuck out of here and don't you ever come back.

You certainly aren't giving the QBs enough time to hand out

final grades. Harbaugh has been here three years and, to my knowledge, has recruited 4 qbs, three of which have not taken a snap, other than practice.  While I agree the one that has played, Peters, was simply mediocre last season, this is not uncommon for any qb with that amount of game time. Give him a season or two behind a decent line, as you should with any position that is dependent there upon, then your argument will hold a little more water.

It could be true that all whiff, but I doubt that. Obviously one is not going to play there because he's a TE, and a promising one at that. However, as you are well aware the season he came back home he was not greeted with a qb with any experience. Unless you wanted him to shit one, the best case scenario right now would have to taken a lot of turns, all positive. There would to have been a few left to choose from in the incoming '15 class, forego any redshirting and you might have a promising returner, but like I said, such woud require a positive return at every measuring point with a qb recruit. Not really likely when recruiting just to catch up.

And when you consider the problems with the OL he inherited, again I agree it would have been nice to see the problem turned around by now. However, he has made attempts and unlike his predecessor did not say, "Well, good enough and they'll improve with time."  He has been working to improve the situation and that's required changes with coaching but if you look there's decent, young talent on the line. The last two 1,000 yd rushers were recruited by RR, as you are aware and they didn't have the greatest number of star talent creating holes for them. So what I'm saying is although it makes neither you or I happy, we are still in the growing process but have been winning at a much higher rate annually than prior to him taking over. One year of single digits in the win column is not going to make me start bitching and crying, as seems to be your tactic and for a very simple reason. Those type of people, of which some of my close friends can be classified, are simply not much fun to be around.

Thank you.

just cuz you reddit on twitter

doesn't make it true. Ricky P ain't allowed in this state to coach, recruit or ever talk bb. In fact, Ricky P. ain't allowed in this state atall. Done and out

That may be a partial reason Pam

but just like all the other positions, Jim is assembling a roster that is not only talented, but it's going to run deep. We;re getting both OL and QBs, but it has been at a slower pace than expected, but our D has been accelerated greatly with the addition of Brown and Partridge, specifically and keeping one of the best teachers in the game, GM.

People forget Jimmy is averaging over 9 wins a year and some bad luck has cost us more than a couple and that's been in rivalry games, so they're even more dramatic than reason gives. He is doing a great job and in a few years most will look back and say, Damn, we sure over reacted in our worry about Harbaugh, aye? Then, there will always be those that simply like to bitch.  We haven't even had 3 of one of the best wr units ever recruited here on the field at one time, and some are concerned about their replacements four years down the road and saying, "it's all going to hell."  If we go 12-1, I can guarantee you the bitching about "one of the worst called games in our history" will commence if it's one of the best called games we ever had.

It is great to be a Michigan wolverine, but sometimes it can be frustrating as hell, and that's just putting up with some of the others. GO BLUE!!!! We'll be fine.

Crisler 71, this has been discussed several times

and actually in several different forums.  Think first, population change and all that entails. Let me add there is no difference in the importance certain states place on football at both the high levels of college and high school. The staff and payrolls will explain a lot through the various states.  I don't want to rehash the big reasons but i will point you to research salary differentials through the states, along with staff size. Many are full time head coaches as well and that's exactly what they do, spend about 70 hours a week on football.  It's actually an interesting topic to research and i think you'll learn quite a bit more by doing this research than just gathering info here.

47, you've been running pretty negative all thread

Why though would you think though the staff needs to overcome Dobbs instead of vice versa? He's not going to be getting three to four D1 studs per year and why would a coach, with his kids best interests first and foremost push his kids to MSU over UM?  We saw a young man fight with his mother a few years ago, far and away the best D line talent in the state. He went to MSU, got to do what he wanted and now will probably not see a pay day in the future from the NFL.

MSU's bs is catching up to them and a lot of educators at the hs level and parents both are sick of reading about Dantonio's charges on two sections of the newspapers. They are turned off by a coach that allows not only dirty play but sends a driver to pick them up from the jail so they can play ball on the weekends. There is a reason they do their jail time - a red flag on its own if ever there was one - and that reason is so they can get their school work done during the week. Now if they aren't doing their school work because they were playing ball instead of doing jail time, just when the hell are they doing it? It's questions like those and a lot others that we will let Dobbs explain why he's overlooking. No, sir, if any ass kissing is to be done, you've got the directions of the lips pointing in the wrong direction.

The biggest difference is M has fans like us and State

.well has fans like you DeepGreen. Further needn't be said.  I mean that's pretty damn significant.

Yeah DMack, it's like that and Bob Griese

saying, "Since when does beating ND signify that MI football is back?" on national t.v. Those vested personally in this rivalry never want to leave a doubt as to which is the top program. Now as the not the brightest ND fan said to me in the bar, "This makes us look like chicken shits."  To which I replied, "But, you are chicken shits and we'll have the opportunity to prove that on the field in the not-too-distant future." Bang, here we go.

How, ExtraMelanin, can you tell who downvoted and upvoted whom?

Both Ricky and Kirk pulled this off

at the same time actually. Gibby went all the way from a potential high draft pick in fb to being rated just behind Horner and Ricky did ok too for not having NFL chops.

Zackly Indy Pete - Can see why Harbaugh likes the young man

He's a baller in typical Harbaugh fashion. Plays about 20 lbs heavier than he is has a nose for the ball, much better than adequate speed and has the tude to Vipe at this level. When, though, did it all jump from Peppers 2..0 to Hudson 2.0? Is that due to not finding the second Peppers yet? Curious minds.

Believe Patridge has potential to be another Moeller

This young man really likes his job here and is dedicated to learning all he can. Turned down an offer to go to a place that hands out championship rings like most teams do varsity letters. And he says it's due to his loyalty to Harbaugh- extremely rare today- his love for AA and his very real belief that Michigan can be participating and winning these championship contests in the future.  Hell, everyone on that side of the ball is learning from the best coordinator in cfb today - top three in any measurements - and this guy is soaking it up.

Jim really pulled a coup when he grabbed him. Paramus was obviously doing more than pulling in the best talent in Jersey. This guy can coach. He proved it at the h.s. level, of course, and in addition to proving it at D1 level, he's recruiting with the best of them. So glad he's here and I think he's a Michigan lifer that is going to just keep adding to the program.

Listen up DeepBlueC

You cannot expect like results when the only thing in common is the position played. Nothing, absolutely nothing else is the same between Peters and Mallet in terms of complementary players, i.e., receivers, protection RBs, et. al.  I can tell you, however, that had he stayed in AA then your comparisons might hold validity because he too would have been throwing to inexperienced receivers, playing behind an inexperienced OL and working with two RBs that together didn't even get 1,000 yds. He decided against it. Hell Peters is ahead of him at this state in their career in the simple fact he showed some balls.

Now kindly refrain from posting similar, non-sensical comparisons.

Those who wrote BP off after one season are no fb fans

That entire side of the team was terrible last season and I believe the RBs were the only unit that produced close to expectations. He had no one to "go to" given the fact that every damn skilled position except that group were learning to play on the big stage for the very first time. It was easy to see the athleticism DPJ's possesses and just as easy to see how much he had to learn at the wr position. Same is true of Gentry at TE and both should be far, far above the norm as they mature. Black, unless someone makes a fantastic jump, should prove to be the best, simply because at the same age as the others he was far ahead and things just seemed to be there already and I think he is simply a natural.  But all should improve to the point they are considered among the best group in cfb.

Although I think everyone here believes Shea will be no. 1, for good reason, should he win the appeal, there is no doubt BP and any other qb we have will improve greatly due to the growth you'll see among the two receiving units, along with RBs running behind an improved line and catching a few of their own. This will, indeed lend itself to improved qb play and stats and to say a freshman qb who didn't play as well as you thought he should last year has no chance is done is, simply put, a very very dumb statement.

R U Serious Toboggan?

I had no idea such was the case. This was probaby announced and I didn't see the post. I believe I would have made consistent donations to content if i had known such was the case. Well I'm certain we get the news a day or two late, but always nice getting insider right away.

Would not surprise me if that 225 was all genetics

The young man is extremely diverse and when you threw lber into the mix, it's pretty obvious the lad can run and is probably naturally strong, country strong as we call it. Give him a year or two in the weight room - prior to getting here - add in a year under the professional trainers and this young man could be exceptional as to the strength and speed aspect.  These are the type WI have made a living off the past decade.

If he hits anything like Ernest

understand the offer. Strange case, for sure, in Michigan fb history, but inarguably one of the biggest hitters we've ever had in the secondary. No one here who was at the Purdue game will ever forget his tackle near game's end. That's basically all you have to say, Purdue game, and all will recall.  Was a Dude for sure.

No Doubt she was a man, Proud

No other option for the weekend you were having. And my money tells me she was in drag, not due to sexuality but instead in disguise because she was the one guilty of committing the murder in that hotel that weekend. No, you didn't hear about it but i can almost guarantee one occurred and he/she definitely was the one that used the pillow for the smothering.  Ah Good Times!!!!

Dr Toboggan, Don't know who you're arguing with here

and don't want to know because don't wish to get involved. However, I've seen enough of your posts to realize you are usually on the side of what makes sense, so I'm assuming Favre is the all-time leader in picks and as much fun as he could be to watch, I'm in total agreement he does not even belong in the talk as to top 5.

I'm with you Eastside Maize

and it's possible I didn't include enough thought on that issue prior to making my proclomation. i was around for Harry Oliver, Eddie Brown raping Desmond in the end zone and Smoker tossing a TD pass after the game was over. You are right and always something to consider in closely fought games with these two. Hell, we've had strange wins against both in M Stadium so there's always the possibility of weird things lending themselves to the final score.

ND's season will depend a lot on Kelly

They'll always have a talented group, but I am not certain how experienced or talented that left side of the OL will be. I can see us in their backfield pretty much at will and their qb had better be ready to rid himself of the skin quickly. It better, however, be thrown accurately. For those of you who liked our defense last season, expect a better version that will be quicker due to nothing more than experience and confidence. They will be good; much better than even their no.2 from last season indicates.

On the other side of the ball there will be measureable improvement for us and it'll be for the same reasons, growth thru experience. With the addition of Shea we'll be excellent at all skill positions, and yes I'm counting the RB position in there. Harbaugh's first recruited back will probably go for over 1200 - he's improved each year. The OL will help him. Talent there, especially on the inside will be a huge upgrade and again, the wr will produce greatly and for the same reasons; addition of two goods ones(one of whom showed flashes of excellence), a possible third, TE capabilities that include running like a wideout.

I don't think either ND or MSU can make these claims and even though I like MSU's qb, i don't think he'll enjoy the complimentary assistance that we will and neither will enjoy a defense as good as ours. I don't know why we should lose to either, although each game should be contested into the second half for no other reason than who they are and the fact both have grown tremendously, as programs since around 07,08. They'll bring the fight but we're just going to be a little too tough for either to handle.

It's my belief that most MI fans

didn't really mind the loss that day. MSU had already won the league and it was kind of cool watching the players carry him off on their shoulders. They - the buckeyes - showed a lot of heart that day. Wasn't nearly that bad when we knew we were going to win our share.

His dad is right

The young man did fuck up, as he said, and allowed someone else to take care of his job, a no no, especially at a football mill like Bama. However, he is much too good to be playing backup in cfb and we all only had so much time, be it high school, college, whatever. Jalen is much too good of a baller to be a backup at qb. The position is different than all others and you don't just stick someone in when someone else is moving the team effectively. Surest was I know to fuck up an offense is go away from that which has proven to work.

Therein lies the problem, imo, American Hotel

When people w/o a problem are making the decisions, they aren't going to be the same as those with a problem. I know a lot of those people, even though I'm not one - I tend to finish what I started in that regard - and that is definitely not a bad thing, could even be a good thing; enhance their fun somewhat. But those of us who tend to get carried away(not a problem as i've gotten older) could and probably do present problems for others, some of which probably ruins their entire experience. So, no, I don't know the answer but I would tend to err on the safe side.

Agree, not good to voice publicly

and apparently true according to contributor. Have to wonder why he would do that. Certain ways of motivating players; calling them out for public consumption is a definite no-no. Wonder how he might feel if one of his ex-players were to question his coaching ability for all to read.

Believe that would have been the plan, regardless Tunneler

He needs some fine tuning. I ant to see this young man come in and begin his career with no pressure on and get those mistakes out of the way when they're not costly. They'll all make them, but going forward if we get the QB play we should, they needn't be game deciders.

All I got.

Oh Yeah. Laughs LSA

Those were nice, simpler days. I forgoth how hot Markie Post was at that time.

One of my favorite First Ladies of all time

Just came across as a very nice, compassionate person wishing nothing but the best for all. Young ladies just starting their familes and/or careers would not go wrong borrowing a page from her in how to conduct yourself. RIP Mrs. Bush.

Welcome Young Stewart

Congratulations on a wise, wise choice. Think he'll be good for us. Brown knows the area well and the school obviously is among the best in that state seeing it sent his fellow OL, Conley to BC and the QB opted for ND. That's solid for any school, real big for a public school in CT.

His h.s. coach says guard but he definitely has the frame and versatility to help out at T as well. A pretty solid get for the good guys.

JonnyHintz, very misleading post

Below is you post. Haskins wasn't facing the Michigan offense and was, indeed, facing the No. 3 overall defense in the nation and trailing only Bama and Clemson, they certainly were better than anyone else's D in the east. My point being, why make a post indicating he was facing a middle-of-the-road opponent when you know that is far, far away from the truth?

"But Haskins stats came against the...4th...place...team...in...the...B1G...East"

If you're being honest, you would have wrote that you thought MI now had a much greater chance to win the game but the freshman, in the biggest game imaginable, left no doubt who JT's successor would be. He was excellent.

I do know this about MI fans

that if our starter, in their case Haskins, had thrown less than 50% against friendly fire with little resistance, our fans would have been saying how shitty he looked instead of singing his praises for being able to toss a couple of scores against the same OSU Defense Light.

I thought he proved, under fire last year vs. their biggest rivals that he was a keeper.

Just as easily, for me, Mr. Elbel would be '69

No one knew for certain, but indications were that we could play with the bully of the conference by doing nothing more than playing the same type of ball. That must have created a lot of excitement for those already fans but in that season finale, the first M game i ever saw, I knew that this team from MI, with this new coach, could play with any team in the nation. On that day I became a MI fan and my education was just beginning.

smitty, nm is no message and
