my apology

i had made a comment that catholic school kids were taught that going to notre dame was their ticket to heaven and that was why so many of them go there. this was offensive and was not my intent. what i should have said was that notre dame has a lot of pull with catholic school athletes and that those schools often act as feeder schools for ND. i apologize to anyone i had offended with that comment as that was not my intent.

who knows but i encourage all and any type of contempt towards nd. no apologies necessary mgoobes. anyone who took it personally needs to realize that somebody whom they never met and will never meet in person just offended them on the internet. better late than never, but welcome to the 21st century.

Actually, he makes a good point. I went to a Catholic HS in Ann Arbor, and the sense was pretty much Notre Dame is the best school in the country. It was a BIG deal if a kid got into ND, and it was seen at or even above the Ivys

Turbocool is 100% right. If people get all butthurt over things said on an internet message board, they have too much time on their hands. Lots of people seem to think that it is a virtue of society that we are so "tolerant" and never say anything bad about someone else's gender/sexual preference/race/religion/age/etc. Maybe that is true. But I think that it is a social ill that people tend to be so thin-skinned about negative comments about the previously mentioned things. Suck it up people.
