that the offense is only partially installed still. I didn't notice nearly as much motion as I expected, and I think as everyone gets more comfortable as the season goes the offense will improve.
Pass protection was a huge upgrade against a pretty stout front 7. Jake Butt is a monster. Nice to see Chesson get open deep, and hopefully this year he is able to adjust while the ball is in the air.

Also want to give a huge thank you to all the bloggers feeding our information need/addiction over the last couple of weeks. The amount of quality content on here is absolutely incredible. For those that are open to donating, not a bad time to hit that beveled guilt button in the top right to show our appreciation.
|16 weeks 2 days ago||I have a wedding||
I have a wedding for a cousin to go to for the opening home game this year. It is a cousin I am not all that close with, and will be attending the game instead.
I had another cousin who had a wedding during the Michigan vs MInnesota game 2 years ago when we won fairly handily. The groom was a south carolina grad and they had a big game that night also. The amount of iphones/ipads at the wedding was absurd. If you know you have a lot of family big into Michigan football and opt for a game on a fall Saturday you should anticipate people not attending or not paying attention.

I completely forgot this was available! Jumped on Oregon State, UNLV, and OSU! May not make it back for all three, but even if we do both OSU's this is probably a much better deal than we could get elsewhere.

Really glad I've got a beer in hand as I read through this one. Devin Gardner has been one of my favorite players, and I'll always wonder what could have been with different coaching.
Also amazing how foreboding the offensive line predictions were at the time. If i remember right everyone on this blog was thinking we needed receivers desparately at the time, and they could make it up with a big o-line class the next year.
|45 weeks 1 day ago||Lot of variability||
I think it's easy to get caught up in the Harbaugh hype, but 10-2 or 11-1 seems fairly optimistic for a first year transition.
Worst case scenario I could see us dropping at least 2 non-conf games. New QB, new staff, new system. Conf could be 4 losses in there. I would say 6-6 is the floor. Hard to say is this the team that got blown out by a mediocre ND team, and we have a long way to go? Or is it the team that hung with ohio state until the 4th qt?
I would guess we likely end up somewhere around 8-4, but every game is at least competitive. Which is a big step in the right direction from where we've been the last couple years.
|45 weeks 1 day ago||1. QB 2. WR 3. RB||
I feel like in order of importance those are the three. QB obviously we need someone to step up and at least be average.
WR - Last year I did not see our receivers getting much separation or being wide open very often. This will be critical to help take some of the burden off a new QB. Can Drake Harris get healthy?
RB - I feel like this position is too loaded to not have someone step up and be a major factor that other teams have to gameplan for.

I would have been all in favor of Manning for dline or lb coach. Not sure I'm huge on him if the only position left is CB. Jourdan Lewis made some great strides this year, but feel like Countess, Taylor and Stribling all regressed a bit. Always hard to tell if that's from the scheme/DC or position coach though.

would have been solid for Harbaugh to by on the telecast last night, but glad he's working on staff/recruiting stuff. I think we definitely need to pick up another 2 Olinemen and another Dlineman. Roquan would be a ridiculous pick up this late in the game as well.

That was truly hilarious. Scott VanPelt definitely takes the crown. Great reaction to it as well.

I was pretty pleased with the game. Going in I was really hoping that we would have a chance to win late in the 4th quarter. That scenario definitely came in to play. I think the fact that we were down 14, and with the way Ohio was running the ball they could have easily ran away with it given how we've shown up the last few weeks. I was pretty proud that we were able to come back.
Certainly disappointed in the way the 2 point conversion played out. I would agree with the previous poster that I think it depends on how you view the players. (Pro's or amateurs). Having gone through college a few years ago, I'm fully cognizant of the fact that a lot of these guys are 18 and 19 and certainly want to lose less than any of us do.

Hopefully we get a retroactive one later on from either Brian or maybe even mini-UFR's breaking down parts of the game from knowledgable posters.

App State for one. Most recently Penn State. Nothing quite like seeing that in person. Fortunately the good ones (Braylonfest + Manningham against Penn State) make you come back for more.

Typically BTN2GO.com will be available at midnight EST. ESPN3.com will usually have it available for replay (since it's on an ESPN affiliate) immediately after finishing.

in the fall are definitely the exception to the rule. I'm totally ok with drinking as soon as either a) you start tailgating.
b) Gameday comes on
|3 years 12 weeks ago||As far as I know||
ESPN3 will not be streaming the game, and ABC also does not have a stream. Agree with everyone else that firstrowsports is the most reliable for having the stream up, but tends to not be the best quality. I love streaming from ESPN3 when available.

Has become part of the religion that is Michigan football. She may be more superstitious than I am and has to wear the same outfit as long as Michigan is on a win streak.
