Michigan vs. Cincinnati (2nd Half thread)

Submitted by Mr. Yost on

Last weekend we didn't look great, I started a 2nd half thread. We looked better.

Here's hoping!

If the bearcats were holding back against Austin Peay last week, might we be doing the same this week? I am not worried at all. The best is yet to come brothers and sisters.

Didn't even come to play. They're dropping the passes and making poor decisions on offense. But we just seem to want to make this an interesting game by committing our own mistakes. Maybe Harbaugh wants to win the mistake competition as well as the game itself??

It doesn't seem like we're in any danger of losing as long as Speight doesn't hand anyone 14 points, but this will be a humbling experience for our young guys who might have thought we were the greatest thing since sliced bread after last week

...much more Isaac. Wish we'd have some sort of RB screens or get them involved in the pass game. WRs don't seem to be getting much separation. I don't think we have a RB reception yet this year?

we have 2 major issues on offense.

1.  Offensive line is NOT getting it done.  Florida's defense was getting blown off and Cincy is eating them up

2. Speight needs to get the passes under control.  He's only missed 3 but they were horrible misses.

Defense looks worse than last week but it is a let down week and they don't look horrid like the offense

We'll either see them turn it on in the second half or win a sludgefart game. Just depends what they want to do. The whole team is pretty blah.

Weird game.

Michigan is averaging 8.5 yards per pass and 4.5 per run. Cincy is averaging 3.5 per pass and 2 yards per rush. We have a pick six.

Only up 10.

Those three fumbles and the shit review were killer. Probably 31-0 or 35-0 without it.

Speight needs to show something. "Not bad" or "he only missed a few throws" doesn't cut it. He's not leading and the offense looks sloppy in no small part because of him. Go blue!

I just... strongly disagree with that timeout with 20 seconds left in the half. Very little upside and got them back into plausible field goal range. Sure, 4 out of 5 times that penalty (or some other form of conversion) doesn't happen, but what was there to really gain? Unless Michigan just had the wrong personnel on the field?

We are Michigan. There is 0 reason for us to not have a superstar at QB especially with Jim Harbaugh.

We should be able to go recruit the #1-4 QBs in the nation. Instead they're going to Clemson, Stanford, USC. So annoying...
