If it had been a daytime game, I'd have bet they'd be inundated with Michigan fans. Since it's a nightgame and their first time playing us in conference, I'd bet Rutgers will hold their hometurf alright with speckles of maize through the crowd (ala UConn) but in future years when Rutgers continues to suck, Michigan fans/alums from NYC and NJ will probably overtake the place (same with Maryland)

If Michigan has a competent O-Line by then, perhaps you'll be right. Otherwise, I don't see us leaving with a W. All else being equal, let's also not forget that this team has been terrible on the road under Hoke.

Very tricky game.  Rutgers was a very weird team last year.  They lost 29-16 to ND in a bowl, and 24-10 to Louisville @Louisville.   Both respectable showings by what most consider a bad team.   But got blown out by a solid but not great Cincy and a very good UCF.   Major variability game to game last year.

There is NO excuse for losing or even struggling to Rutgers. They're not good just like UConn wasn't good. This isn't Rutgers of 6-7 years ago or whenever that was. This isn't even a Tom Savage led Rutgers team.

We better not lose/struggle against:

  1. App St.
  2. Miami (OH)
  3. Minnesota
  4. Rutgers

We better pull away and win relatively easily against:

  1. Utah
  2. Northwestern
  3. Maryland

Just get the win, no matter how we get it against:

  1. Notre Dame
  2. Penn State
  3. Indiana

Please God...let us beat:

  1. MSU
  2. OSU

I'm going to go out on a "limb" and say 9 wins, even though deep down 8 is FAR more likely from what we've seen thus far.

I'm glad to see it will be on campus despite the relatively small size of Rutgers stadium.  I thought the forces of greed would take over this one and have it at an NFL stadium, completely removed from any knid of college atmosphere.

Don't get used to it though.  There's mad money to be made.  This may be your only chance to check out The New Jersey State University,

This is going to be fun and a pretty big deal here in the NY area.  I guess this is what the BIG wanted - hopefully it lives up to the hype.

I am sicker than I've ever been right now but I still have enough left in me to be annoyed at the night games. The hell with night games. The hell with 3:30. Noon or GTFO.

affair any more nauseating, besides a loss of course.  Desmond Morgan better start working on his hops because we may need another one handed int to escape the east coast with a win.

...the days were we hung 31 on N'Western with 2/3 into the 2nd quarter, Auburn and Alabama were unranked, Oklahoma destroyed Baylor (they were up 34-3 with 8:24 in the 3rd on the bottom line), Nebraska...not Michigan played Kansas St. and Purdue led OSU.

Unless it is raining I would much rather be outside enjoying the fall weather than inside watching football. I always pick football but I hate missing a beautiful fall day. Plus, if they lose a night game you can quickly fall into your drunken sleep and hope to forget it, if the lose a day game you have to be drunk and grumpy all day and night.
