This kind of stuff is why I quit caring about recruiting.

That, and as a man in my mid 30s, I just can't find any energy to care about the decisions of 17 year olds.

Let's roll with who wants to be here - HTTV will educate me on the new guys.

Maybe you just need to spend more time having meaningful conversations with recruits via Twitter...

Seriously I agree.  In no other place in my life do I concern myself with the decisions of random teenagers if I don't have to.  I only care to know about who shows up.

Georgia is building a super power.  Georgia and Alabama appear to be starting a very impressive rivalry.  Good Luck to the kid no matter who he picks.

It has always been sleeping giant like Texas. Only Texas, Florida, and California have as much or more prep talent than Georgia, and Georgia does not have any in-state competition like OSU in Ohio. Athens is a beautiful town, and the university is not bad.

It will be interesting to see if Dan Mullen can turn Florida around with the void of an in-state power in Florida now with FSU falling off. I wouldn't count out the Florida-Georgia rivalry yet for the SEC East.

Was thinking the exact same thing. Holy shit - this looks bad.

My old man has reffed D1 and D2 college hoops for 35-40 years and I am always ripping on him when refs screw up.

He tells me that reffing is one of the most mentally and emotionally demanding jobs he has ever had, and mistakes happen, but there are plenty of dirty ass guys that just are good at keeping said dirty asses hidden in plain sight.

This clearly wasn’t a mistake.

Let’s not tweet at recruits, please.

Edit: All of these kids want drama, even the ones that say they don’t (Najee Harris is a perfect example).  I hope he has a good time and career at UGA, and eventually loses to Michigan in the playoffs.

2nd edit:  Its helpful to usually tell us the date and time of the announcement.

First, thank you for indicating in your OP that he is a Safety ranked #59. I don't follow recruiting closely enough to recognize all the names and positions, so this is appreciated.

Second, I will take all the top-shelf Safety talent we can get. We've definitely been getting better at the position (Metellus and Kinnel have been solid) , but would love an elite playmaker at one of the S positions.

EDIT: Also, looks like folks are super-pessimistic about Cine committing to UM. Well, we have Daxton Hill in the fold, so I'm super-happy about that :)

Never said anything about tweeting at him that's what this thread is for, just to say something like:

Good Luck Lewis, where ever you choose but .......

GoBlue!

Just because a guy is probably gonna choose another school doesn't mean we can't appreciate he had us in consideration.

No one knows where he will go! It's not what all of his fans think! Tune in, because he's going to SHOCK THE WORLD!

Thanks, OP, for posting this. I had forgotten that today was his commitment announcement. Unlike several of the others who have commented on this thread, I pay attention to recruiting even though I am a grown man with a family.
