I don't hear anyone objecting with the possibility that Saban goes to Texas to replace Mack Brown. This may not be a story much any more nationally, but it gets bantered about quite frequently on slow sports days among the 3 stations here in Dallas. If there is anything to it, I would bet someone in Hand's circle has heard from someone in the know that there is at least a greater than zero chance Coach Saban is not there next year. Hoke and Mattison we can be sure are not going anywhere, unless this years ends like 2010.

I'd say there's at least 50 people there on most Saturdays. For rivalry games, if you don't get there early, you may not have any where to sit because it gets really crowded.

Georgia was a drive away from replacing Alabama in the NC game and the corn played then pretty well. Still think Michigan is better, but clearly Pelini and staff used that month well to get them ready to play a good sec opponent

Previews have been phenomenal this week Brian/Ace. I was feeling some type of way you capping it off with a video taken from 11w until I watched it. And while I prefer hip hop (and gospel), and have never heard the soundtrack song, I can dig the sentiment

True. However, on the go ahead TD drive in the 4th, Clowney tossed Lewan to the side and blew up Denard in the backfield on an iso play. Clowney is amazing. Taylor didn't have a terrible game, but between the Ohio game and a so-so at best performance against an NFL caliber DE in Clowney, I'll bet him watching himself on film made him feel like he still has some areas where he needs improvement. Not saying that the UM tradition of O-Linemen returning for their senior years didn't have anything to do with him coming back, but I would bet he feels like he still has something to prove to himself and to his teammates/coaches. I expect him to be motivated and even better than he was last year which bodes well for our chances at having a prolific offense.

Cowboys have their first home preseason game tonight. Headed out early to tailgate in a little bit. This morning I woke up feeling like football is finally here. Brady reeling in recruits left and right has made this long summer somewhat bearable, but I am so glad the wait is just about over!

I'm such a groupie but its just awesome to me to see my HS FB coach's quotes blocked off in write ups on this blog. I can say for certain that Dukes' senior year drop off was due to the lack of a good QB because I played in the same system a year before the program took off and became a fixture in the state playoffs every year. And, as I have compared before, when Ernie Wheelwright came from our school to play for Minny, he also was a basketball player turned FB player with exactly the same build as Dukes. Wheelwright was all BIG Ten his Senior year at Minny and if grades weren't an issue would have shined on a better team. I expect good things from Dukes.

Apparently no one saw bunting catch that skinny post in between coverage. He showed great concentration and athleticism. That was a big time catch against some top recruits. He doesn't look like a kid with another year of high school. This kid will be an NFL player for sure, barring injury.

I'm on the other side of this. When I moved to the central time zone I was as excited about getting to watch college games at 11 and NFL games at noon as I was about anything else. When you get up at 5:30am during the week, it's kind of hard to sleep in beyond 7 or 8 am on Saturdays, regardless of how much I drink on Friday. By the time I eat and do other extracurriculars I'm ready for beer and football ASAP

COMPLETE different story. I have dated, am kin to, facebook friends with numerous dozens of osu alumni and their grammar, among many other intellectual benchmarks expected of a college grad, can be so laughable. This is a cruel, underhanded shot at them, but honest to God it's true. I confess that I don't know too many UM alums either, but just go read the 11 warriors message board replies as an aggregate to what is acceptable protocol here and there's your consensus.

I haven't met Taco personally because I moved out of God forsaken Columbus 2 years ago to Texas, but he is my 12 year old nephew's cousin and spends a lot of time around my family. My Dad has gone to watch him play several times and he has the same criticism that Coach Matt has here that he doesn't go hard every single play. Of course my Dad and most of the rest of my fam are buckeyes so there's the caveat that they would look for the one thing that he doesn't do well. But I always contend with them that he won't have to play every down with the depth being built on the D-line and if he thinks he is going to play on a Michigan defense, going hard every play you are in is not optional. If motivation is the only drawback you can find with a player coming to Michigan to play on the d-line for Brady Hoke and Mattison, I would say you can bet that whatever his ceiling is, he will find it at Michigan. The best part about this is that my nephew is an exceptional basketball player and is fully aware of Trey Burke. And now with his cousin potentially being a standout for the good guys, he may start having dreams of playing in AA and that would be a dream come true for his uncle.

This is so appalling and laughable to me. It's only laughable because I have seen this movie before in real-life and I can imagine the thought process of this kid. I played high school football with several kids just like this and it is really sad. Some kids from the inner city could care less about an opportunity when it is right in front of their face. The few standout kids on our high school team would get letters and pulled out of class for visits from coaches and I would see them on the street and at parties just acting lawless and untouchable. The crazy thing is that is what made them great football players, but in the end they loved the street life more than football and an opportunity to have a better life. In my opinion, this is due to 1. misguidance, but 2. by fear of the responsibility of having to grow up and leave the loyalty of the streets and the people that have been with you from day one, but don't have the same opportunities. It's a difficult thing to teach a kid the value of separating themselves from the negative people around them. If he is talented enough to get an offer from Staee, he is a good enough football player to have paved a whole new course for your life, but those blunts and your friends and apathy can make you say f**k it. So sad.

Was so hoping the Mavs would get lucky even though their sights are set on CP3. Trey could be a better shooting version of him in 3 years. Hopefully they take Timmy, or trade up for Burke.
