EDIT:   I missed the link on the first go around and have been sufficiently shamed by a Koala.  It's an interesting read and thanks for providing the link.   1969 was a great year to start with!   Go Blue!

What is everyone's favorite win over Indiana? Other than the Anthony Carter one, of course.

I really like the one in 2010. Denard had a big run and then at the end completed a long pass to Junior Hemingway that set up his game winning TD run at the end. In Bloomington, too.

You left your keys at the game? Dam that sucks, if I was you I’d call lost and found! Key fob replacements are expensive… I think the worst would be knowing someone out there probably has your keys and is trying to find your car!

Since my parents became empty nesters, they've taken to moving the decorated tree (artificial, of course) into an empty bedroom because they didn't like the hassle of putting up and taking down lights and ornaments every year. So, it never comes down. If you need a dose of Christmas in June or August or whenever, you got it.

Did anyone read the post at the link? If not... take a look and enjoy it. And stop downvoting what is clearly an insanely legit fan, probably more than most of us.

Congratulations to 'pz'----32 folks here (including replies) above your post failed to click the OP's link and read his fine narrative about Michigan vs ohio state games he has attended.  Thank you for being the one who took the time to enjoy what he had to say AND then comment on it.

And thank you, 'k.o.k. Law', for posting a link to your blog.  What a fascinating read!

False narrative.

I did click the link. It was tl;dr but that’s irrelevant. I was still unable to decipher what this post on mgo is.

I don’t know what any of that means. Using english to provide context for a link would help.

I did not downvote fwiw.

This post about what is actually excellent and entertaining reading is one of the most confusing and poorly-constructed introductions to personal content that I've ever seen here. Since the poster is an attorney, he surely knows that the opening statement in a trial is a critically important step in making an argument to a judge and jury.

Riffing off kyle.aaronson -

Who the hell is "kyle.aaronson" and why should we care? Is that the real name of the guy behind "k.o.k.Law"? With this opening phrase, he's already confused a good portion of his audience.

seeing if link to one of my other sites will get this up.

What the hell does this mean? "Get this up?" If it's his blog or website, why not just say, "Here's my blog"?

Need more words:

What needs more words? Why are more words needed? And what is the origin of these words?

As others have noted downthread, the first part of this is an old song from 1969 or very early 1970s that the vast majority of MGoReaders have never heard before because they're not old coots like the poster and I am. But because there's no information about it and how it relates to the content over on the blog, it comes across as a random insertion of the OP's own creation.

It might have helped to inform the MGoReaders that it's supposed to be sung to the tune of OSU's traditional fight song "Across the Field."

send them out to graze.

Knock them off their ivory towers

FWIW the version I was familiar with from back then didn't have any reference to cattle that I can recall, but these kinds of things tend to have multiple versions anyhow.

This is the first time I've ever seen this and I was a UM student during the 10-Year War between Woody and Bo. Is it supposed to be chanted to a particular tune?

.....................................

The OP didn't need to be anything more complicated than something like the following:

Hi everybody,

I'm a very longtime Michigan fan who first attended the Michigan-OSU game in 1969. Since then I've gone to Columbus for many games with Ohio State, with the most recent one being our epic beating of the Buckeyes last Saturday.

It was a very interesting experience, and I've written about it on my blog, and yes, keys did play a role for me:

https://politiciansnotvoters.com/2022/12/02/keys-to-the-game/

My Michigan fandom was shaped significantly by the contests between Bo and Woody in the early 1970s, and we used to sing this corny old ditty to the tune of OSU's fight song to demonstrate our hatred of Woody and the Buckeyes back then:

"Devastate Ohio State

and humble Woody Hayes

they breed a lot of cattle in Columbus

send them out to graze.

Knock them off their ivory towers

send them crawling back to the showers.

Down with

Ohio State

It's a know nothing

Are you assuming he's a lawyer because of his username? That would actually explain a lot, if you recall David Diamond's press release. Apparently a lot of lawyers are very bad at writing.

But I hear that the blog post koklaw linked to was good.

One last nit to pick in the OP:

"seeing if link to one of my other sites will get this up."

One of his other sites? OTHER sites? That implies MGoBlog is his site.

kyle.aaronson writes the weekly betting diaries. He has been having trouble getting them to post, so this week he posted a link to a PDF of his post in the diary.

To get it to post as a diary, he had to get to 200 words so he typed some random other info about what he ate for Thanksgiving.

OP here was probably confused that the extra words weren't needed for a board post. I agree your suggested post makes more sense, but also no need to ridicule.

Disagree. Downvotes and GIFs were earned. The OP made no sense. None of this is done with malice. OP has earned much praise for the post on his own blog here as well.

Bravo to you for piecing it together, no doubt because of your familiarity with Kyle Aaronson's diary post. And thank you for explaining it so now I can finally understand it.
