I also just found this one in the interest of funny pictures: http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/photos?photoId=2527272&gameId=323080135.&…; Apparently ESPN cannot tell the difference between a 5'11" white guy who plays defense and a 6'5" black guy who plays offense. Check out the caption with the picture.

In the next picture in ESPN's gallery, Jordan Kovacs (whose name is clearly visible) is referred to as "Michigan (sic) Lamonte Edwards".

Did they get a picture of Gravy Hulk congratulating Bartholamew Roundtree after his long catch?

Jake Ryan's great, but he really isn't doing anything special there in that .04 second clip... just sayin;
November 4th, 2012 at 1:06 AM ^
He uses would-be-blocker-guy as a weapon with which to hit the running back. I kinda thought it was something.

He basically manhandles the blocker (and in the process causes the blocker to impede the runner) and then bursts to the side, preventing the runner from gaining the edge, ending in a 5 yard loss for Minnesota. I thought it was pretty nice.

I think his point was that none of that was captured in the gif... I was thinking the same thing.
November 4th, 2012 at 6:09 AM ^
is the minnesota QB. again, love jake but any decent defensive player should blow that up when being blocked by a QB.

was that he stayed responsible. He could have torn off after the RB and given up contain, but stayed home, saw the reverse coming, and blew it the hell up.

I agree, .04 seconds of Ryan eating a block isn't all that great. The play in the game was great, this GIF is not.

I agree this gif is dumb. I just want the straight up play.

PROPOSAL 12-7
A REFERENDUM ON MICHIGAN LINEBACKER #47 – THE NO MERE MORTAL PROVISION
The Provision would:
- Establish the constitutional right to maintain a long, blonde flow without retribution or scorn.
- Require opposing DC's to line up wimpy underclassmen TE's opposite Jake Ryan for the amusement of the Michigan fanbase at least twice per game
- Require Mr. Ryan make 160 tackles per season, of which 90 must be solo tackles.
Should this law be approved?
- Require the Downtown Athletic Club to invite Mr. Ryan to the trophy ceremony every year until the expiration of his NCAA eligibiligy
YES ___
NO ____

NO POLITICS!

Are full of lies. MLive says "ChopBlock's proposal would ... limit future ... players at ... Michigan."
While MVictors says "No ... More proposals ... From ChopBlock."
This ad was paid for by Wednesday Can't Get Here Soon Enough.

Yes, but Tremendous says:
ChopBlock's proposal...is... not... funded by insidious special interest groups looking to destroy the very fabric of society itself.
And Bleacher Report says:
Top 14 reasons "Yes on Seven" is underrated
So there's that.

if Borges et al. get the BTN feed upstairs, they could use it to their advantage. At least twice I saw the BTN line of scrimmage out of square with the field by about a half of a yard. Therefore, if the staff was paying attention, they would only have 9 1/2 yards to make the first down, depending on which way the line was running.

Anybody hear anything about his injury? (Impeccable, reliable, unimpeachable sources only, please.)
November 4th, 2012 at 1:39 AM ^
He abused that poor mini soda QB into the RB and then took him down for a 5 yard loss...I'm guessing that's a +3
November 4th, 2012 at 8:06 AM ^
Blaze....any chance you could slow it down just a wee bit? For the benefit of the older members of the board like me, Don and the avatar known as Herm.
November 4th, 2012 at 10:36 AM ^
The GIF doesn't pose any issues speed-wise for me. I don't think it's very interesting, but that's a different issue.
As long as we're talking about old people and speed: there are few things on this earth more frustrating to me than old people at the wheel. From the time the light turns green, it generally takes 4 seconds for their brain to register the fact, and then it takes another 3 seconds for their synapses to send the message to their foot to press the gas pedal, and even then it takes them 10 seconds to get through the intersection. If they're driving a Buick or a Prius, the process is even slower.
November 4th, 2012 at 8:24 AM ^
but not slow.
November 4th, 2012 at 9:32 AM ^
I'm not slow; I'm patient.
