I've noticed when I type messages on my iPhone it autocorrects a plural to a possessive if I am referring to a family. So if I say "I'll talk to the Smiths to see if they have plans," it changes "Smiths" to "Smith's."

And while misuse of the apostrophe may be increasing, it's a phenomenon with a long history--I've seen references to the "grocer's apostrophe" for as long as I can remember.

Yes.

Daniel Faa'lele, Verdis Brown, Curtis Dunlap are some huge offensive linemen being recruited. Michigan also offered a bunch of other guys, but DT Taron Vincent (OSU), RB T.J. Pledger (Oklahoma), and QB Artur Sitkowski (Miami) are committed already, among others.

Yeah came here to mention Cain who is at IMG for his first year (was in Texas playing for our David Underwood previously). He's currently the top RB in his class and he or the kid from Charlotte would be home run signings at the position. Jordan Anthony was tweeting at him yesterday.

I'd love to get Cain. We've got a strong backfield right now but by 2019 Evans will be a senior. Doesn't look like we necessarily got a monster RB class in 2017 or in 2018, so landing a big time guy in 2019 is key. Especially if our OL problems are sorted out by then.

I would assume that this comes down to his visits and on-field success. If we can have significantly more success on the field than LSU in the mean time, and knock the ball out of the park on his visits, we've got a shot. His relocations should make him a little more open to moving up north. If we remain a top 10 team and Coach O struggles out of the gate it would surely help us.

...there was a post that sounded like this on 11W the morning of The Game:

kschwarzelOSU4life: Hey guys, I am officiating The Game today.  Are there any scUM guys I should screw over?

I didn't see that post.  Nope, I'm a Michigan guy, LSA '92, moved down here 7 years ago, been officiating in Manatee/Sarasota county for 6 years.  I do all the 7v7 tournaments as well, get to see hundreds of D1 guys, mostly it's fun, sometimes it's a bitch.

Thanks for th info, It will be hard for me to watch the line as I am a Back Judge, but I will sneek a look.

Barrett is short on every replay. Everytime I see something pro michigan there is some piece of crap from ohio commenting. We have to beat this team just because good must triumph over evil. With the way meyer is recruiting and the fan base expectations, they are vulnerable for a mutiny if they don't win the big ten. Even though Michigan choked the season away watching osu lose 31-0 was a nice gift. You have to love clemson with the woody hayes neck punch and crushing them last year. It is more than time for Michigan to take the wind out of their sails.

Perhaps, as an official, you should go into the game without knowing who the players are and to which schools they are leaning.  If you want to take note of impressive players during the game and learn about them after, that seems fine.  But finding out who is considering your favorite college before officiating their game doesn't seem right.

I officiate another sport, and it always bothers me when other officials say "Oh, here comes (name).  Watch this, he's amazing."

WTH?  Sneeking a peak at a lineman during a run play (I am a Back Judge), somehow makes me a poor offical and that I don't call the game fairly?  Wow, ok.

ALL the players are good, its IMG.

I was curious to know if any of them were Michigan targets, not to determine which way to throw the game.  Usually I don't know anyone, a spring "game" that means nothing might be a good way to notice a play or two.
