Holy Balls.  Check out the box score from tonight's Illinois St. Vs. Greenville game.  Illinois scores 177 points, including 94 in the 2nd half alone!  They had 10 guys in double figures!  Greenville scores 108 in a losing effort!

Not having seen the video, I'm tempted to assume that everyone on the court kept at least 6 feet of social distancing from anyone on the other team at all times.

The craziest stat from the game is Ill St was 70 of 81 from the field, but also had 8 offensive rebounds! They missed 11 shots all game, but rebounded 8 of those misses. Meaning they only had 3 possessions that ended on a misses shot. They actually could have scored more if they weren't terrible at free throws - they went 29-42 from the line for a 69% clip.

Upon seeing the box score, Jim Harbaugh immediately signs Greenville HC to be new defensive coordinator.

That link isn't working for me for some reason.

Watching some highlights here there are numerous times Illinois State is just lobbing the ball all the way up the court immediately after inbounding for an uncontested dunk or layup.

Greenville must play like Oklahoma State did against us with their hair on fire except they're exceptionally terrible at it. You can score a lot when your opponent's possessions usually end in about 2 seconds.

This was Greenville's fourth game against a Division I team this year (they're Division III). Here's how their other three games went:

  • Sanford 174 (102 in the first half), Greenville 99 (75 point loss)
  • Kansas City 138, Greenville 97 (41 point loss)
  • Murray State 173, Greenville 95 (78 point loss)

Rich Rod is the one who propetuated football to this path of irrelevance. The people who kiss Rich Rods butt are the reason our fan base is so toxic.  Please, remind me again, who was the last coach to win a big ten title?  Who was the last coach to win multiple times against OSU?  Those are THEE most important things Michigan football must achieve in order to be worth a damn.  The wet noodle fans who've been drinking kool-aid over the past 14 years need to fuck off.

Been a man?  The only argument you along with your Rich Rod club sit on is "the cupboard was bare".  It amazes how people can sit there and defend RR.  Trying to use Lloyd Carr as a scape goat.  Like, "it wasn't RR fault for lack of talent" or "he didn't have enough time."  Oh cry me a river...  If RR was a man he would've owned up to his shitting coaching ability.  Instead he tried to act like the victim and some weak mind fans went right along with it.  You understand that it was the famous OSU Kirk Hurtbutt that went on tv and cried for RR after he was fired?  Blaming Michigan for letting him go.  Are you telling me you agree with him?  Now that smells like a troll.

Here's a lesson in life for you, don't blame others for your failures.  Lloyd Carr was far from perfect, but at least he continued to keep Michigan relevant in his tenure.  Good God what I'd give to have Michigan be relevant in football again.

Illinois State shot 84.2% (!!!) from the field.  70 for 83.  8 of 16 on 3-pointers, so 62 of 67 inside the arc.

That obviously had to have been a whole lot of bunnies and lay-ups.

---------

Back in 1992, Troy State won a basketball game over DeVry University of Atlanta by a score of 253-141.  Troy went 51 for 109 (?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!) on 3-pointers in that game.

So, Illinois State was still nowhere near the record.
