I still play ball weekly, and refuse to play in any shoes except Air Force 1's. That being said, those high white Chuck's are about as dope as can be. This has nothing to do with anything.

...once a season. The kids like them, morons buy them, whatever. What I can't deal with, however, is the fact that UM wears them for marquee games. Playing Illinois? Fine, dress like Oregon. Purdue? Fine, dress like Oregon. Maryland or Rutgers? Fine, dress like Oregon. The Game, Sparty, ND, Penn State? Dress like Michigan, fergodsakes.

Well, this is how we gonna do this...
F*ck Kevin Love.
F*ck the Cavs as a team, Cleveland as a city and Ohio as a state.
And if you wanna be down with the Cavs, then f*ck you too.
Dan Gilbert, f*ck you too.

He always came across as an intelligent & insightful kid (especially considering how young he is). Think I remember reading that he had/has/always will have a pretty serious drinking problem, which is most likely the at the root of this mess.

As someone who played D-III soccer at a high-ish level a decade ago, we had a couple D-I kids transfer in during my four years. IIRC, they didn't have to sit a year since they were "transferring down." Wonder why they would make a kid sit a year for "transferring up." Kinda similiar to what JUCO kids do, right?

Wait, so the USBWA named him their District V Player of the year over the kid from Cincinnati, but the kid from Cincinnati was named a USBWA All-America (2nd Team) and Stauskas wasn't? How, exactly, does that make sense?

Michigan's two biggest rivals both contain the word "State." Fans naturally talk about their rivals. I don't get why this is a big deal...

As a 35-year old Bulls fan who spent his formative years loathing the Bad Boys, watching Joe D run the Pistons into the ground over the past ten years has been quite enjoyable. And yes, I apologize for the dickishness of this comment. Sort of.

Think I read that the current rate for 1.0 WAR on the open market is about $6 million, meaning Choo's only gotta be a three win player to be worth his annual salary...

I guess, the fact of the matter is, in the present, no one accepts losing any game ever. In the future it's fine, it's realistic to a degree, but in the present it's never something that should happen. Likely, it's because in the present we get too caught up in the finite (down to a play here or a play there, but also game to game) and often lose sight of the big picture.
...that is goddamn brilliant. I'm stealing the hell outta this when I talk sports with my buddies. Well done.

If Gibbons hits a 40 or 33 yard kick, UM wins. Sometimes, the best team doesn't win. Yes, it sucks. Yes, we're still moving in the right direction. Chill the f*ck out. Nothing worth having ever comes easy.
P.S. I'm also an A's fan. It's been a "glass half full" kinda week.

Totally agree with saveferris--it's a fumbled snap with 22 bodies mashed into a pile. Refs gave it their best guess, which is all you can ask of them. Buckeyes win. Bummer.
On the positive side, I can't wait until Braxton Miller has to return his July Heisman. Gonna be totally awkard.

Didn't the Dodgers just announce a $7 billion rights deal with Time Warner this past winter? $30 million a season for Cano is walking-around money for them.
