Submitted by Gooseggs on January 5th, 2024 at 1:46 PM

And I want them now dammnit!!!

Please, I need them, and I also need ffff, opponent watch, and the game preview asap.

so much to talk about this week yet limited front page content.

There’s nowhere else we can go to get this high quality free content folks. Or even anywhere we can pay to get this content really.

You are ambitious. I just want my brain to stop replaying Roman's catch over and over for a few minutes so I can get some actual work done!

A slightly different spin on this, we should be clicking on ads and donating to beveled guilt like crazy this week. A huge part of why we have such an intensive emotional investment is the amazing content we've read week after week, year after year.

I would guess they'll be after the season is over. I think that's what happened with the TCU game last year, we didn't get UFRs until maybe a month or so later.

Besides, I'd rather get the FFFF installments for Washington before any UFRs.

I can't even fathom trying to produce the usual amount of content while going to two cross-country road games like the MGoStaff is doing.  I feel like we need to sit here and just collectively bask in the good vibes, as hard as that is for me to say.  With that said, I'm F5ing like every other person on this board.

UFRs for the Rose Bowl and NCG later this month, FFFF and Washington preview this weekend or Monday. This is the way. Plenty of time to look back, I’d have the preview content.

The staff is doing a great job, it’s not reasonable to expect all of these things with a short turnaround and travel. Let them enjoy this too.

I spent 10 minutes Zaprudering the final play with my wife last night. I’m like, watch this guy here, see how he does this. Hit rewind. Play it again in slow-mo. Now watch this guy and see how he follows the back in motion. That makes Milroe do this, etc.
Now imagine doing that for the other ~120 plays and writing it up in a logical way with analysis and conclusions. It’s not happening this week. If you want UFR-like analysis, tape the game and watch it again yourself. Watch each play in slow-mo, 3-5 times focusing on the key 3-4 players that are primarily involved in each play.

Wow. If I tried that with Mrs. Brimley, she would point out that she doesn't try to draw me into breaking down the finer points of women's clothing, and she'd have a point. I love Mrs. Brimley, but your wife is cool.

After 23 years of marriage and my wife ignoring me on college football Saturdays for her own mental health, she noticed I have mellowed a bit. So she asked why Milroe ran straight up the middle. (Something a lot of us are wondering.) So I pointed out the low snap and a few other things.
What I didn’t realize until the 4th viewing was that the motion and Michigan’s response to it left Rod Moore 1-on-1 with Milroe IF all the blocks had been executed. Colson followed the RB in motion and Barrett rotated out to the boundary. What I thought was a MLB behind Grant and Graham was actually a safety. I don’t know if Milroe had time to see that and process it, but I think it’s good play design to get your QB 1-on-1 with any safety, even one as good as Moore. But we beat some blocks, held up to doubles, and Mikey crashing inside took away the lead blocker (the pulling guard). Milroe had no choice but to do what he did.

I'm puzzled why the OP thinks a self-absorbed post demonstrating his entitled viewpoint would be an effective means of encouraging the content providers.  I'm just as puzzled at the idea that content meeting the expected quality standard can be produced faster.

OP, this is a bad post.  You should be embarrassed at contributing substandard low quality snowflakes.

From the Houston logistics sticky, Seth says "Content-wise, I don't think I can have UFR done before I leave. I'll have a ticket watch out tomorrow (Friday) and if it's possible to do a show on Sunday we'll try to get an MGoRadio out."

Just so pushed back this week and I need two solid 7am to 2am workdays to get that done, and my wife is having a crazy week at work because all of the kids she works with just had two-week "vacations" from the schools that give their lives their best structure and support.

I got the first raw film on Tuesday morning and prepped my spreadsheet for UFR and did a full rewatch of both championship games and read some articles and chose my topic for Neck Sharpies before the Rose Bowl tour (I walked to it instead of taking an uber, which took an extra hour but I need walks to get things in my head sorted out). After the tour I had another hour to put into Sharpies, then shared a ride to the airport, worked on it more in the bar at LAX and finished it on the red-eye back from LA with about an hour before landing. Wednesday I got home around 7AM, slept 1 hour, spent some time w my kids in the morning, took the boy to his doc appointment, took the kids to my mom's, and went to Ann Arbor for the podcast. I got home around 9PM from that and stayed up to ~1AM getting the main part of my travel plans for Houston put together.

Yesterday I woke up 10 minutes before WTKA started, then my other kid had an appointment, and the kids were home w me all day again and I didn't have my mom to help. I wrote the Minnesota preview from my laptop from the doctor's office, and when I got home I was planning the Houston, and researching and working on Ticket Watch, which I got done writing around 2am. This morning I finished that up, did more Houston planning (still don't have a hotel yet but the rest is sorted out) and prepped and recorded the Seth & Matt Show, with an hour break in the morning to feed the kids and play with them.

It's now 2:30 PM on Friday. I have a few plays clipped and I have the spreadsheet set up to chart because I got that done somehow when I woke up on Tuesday morning in the hotel. I fly to Dallas tomorrow morning at 8:30 so I can't stay up late tonight, but I'm going to start charting the Bama defense as soon as I get the kids settled and make some lunch.

All that said, please don't give the OP shit. I love that he posted it. I want to get UFR done more than anything. And more than that I really love that you guys want it so bad. "Where is this article I have come to need from you?" is the most validating thing you can say to a person in this business. Whatever you people try to take away from him in negging I'm refunding.

I think for a lot of us...we're just nervous and having the FFFF chart and some info helps us visualize how Michigan stacks up against the opposition.

For example, I don't think there has ever been a truer cyan then the Bama center.

And my thinking was pretty elementary.

1. Milroe is good and can scramble.

2. The best ways impact a QB like Milroe is pressure up the middle.

3. Oh shit, the middle of Bama's line is weak, maybe Michigan has a shot!

4. Oh shit, the middle of Michigan's DL has two stars! I feel good about this matchup!

5. Gameday validation.

I know I'm not the only one who does this all over the field for every matchup.
