Hello: Dennis Norfleet
Per Allen Trieu on Twitter, Dennis Norfleet has committed to Michigan.
The 5' 7" all-purpose Running Back is a 4 star on scout.

Vincent Smith is pretty strong and very tough.

Jackson would say he is a more athletic, stronger version of Jim Brown, with a little bit of Barry Sanders thrown in there! But seriously I am looking forward to hearing Coach Jackson describe him!

strange, i posted this and my comment was deleted because it was offensive? wtf..
February 1st, 2012 at 1:11 AM ^
SO is this the 7 am surprise?
February 1st, 2012 at 1:11 AM ^
If he the surprise guy? Even if he's not it's still a great pick-up, size doesn't always matter
February 1st, 2012 at 2:07 AM ^
late pickup. You can never have enough speed. Borges will find a nice role for him. Welcome aboard Dennis.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:21 AM ^
Great late pickup especially with Vincent Smith in his last year of eligibility.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:12 AM ^
I'm confused. It's 1 a.m. How is the news breaking now?
February 1st, 2012 at 1:13 AM ^
I thought someone said 7am guy and surprise guy are two different guys. Are they? If so, which one is this?
February 1st, 2012 at 1:13 AM ^
I checked mgoblog and was like ho hum....nothing yet.....then I check scout and go yes!! Then I go back to mgoblog....three posts about Norfleet committing. Love it haha
February 1st, 2012 at 1:14 AM ^

4/3/4

ESPN sucks at recruiting projections, right? a consensus of the non-idiots 4 star is nothing to shrug at.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:14 AM ^
"Why not U-M? I didn't even get a look from Michigan."

Anyway welcome aboard.

He's a sick player. Real glad to have him. Welcome, Dennis.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:15 AM ^
So are we down to zero signing day surprises now?
February 1st, 2012 at 2:01 AM ^
They commit every time. If there truly is a surprise, it is only known by the coaches and said player. Remember Heitzman? No prior idea.

February 1st, 2012 at 1:28 AM ^
Looking forward to seeing him in the Big House.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:29 AM ^
Damn. 0 to 60 in half a second. He's got some insane acceleration. This is a guy you find a use for. Did he play in the UA game though? That's what it says at the beginning of the video but I don't remember anyone talking about it when the game happened.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:57 AM ^
That mad scientist Borges will definitely find a use for him

February 1st, 2012 at 1:30 AM ^
Impressive as hell.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:48 AM ^
That special teams play when he waits on the ball is absurd. He cuts past 5 guys. Reminds me of Devin Hester on special teams.
February 1st, 2012 at 2:21 AM ^
I will listening to Hall and Oates "You Make My Dreams Come True" when I clicked on his tape. Thought it was a bit ironic, so I just muted the senior highlights.
February 1st, 2012 at 3:00 AM ^
I'm afraid to say the "B" word as it's the most unattainable praise to heap on a young running back, but watching that video made me think it.
All you metro Detroiters know exactly who I'm talking about. . .
February 1st, 2012 at 5:44 AM ^
small and quick, nice speed, nice vision, uses his blockers well, good balance and body control in traffic, sometimes carries the ball in the wrong hand, wonder how many fumbles he's had being a smaller guy, didn't particularly like how he started jogging on a few of those long runs, but that's correctable. looks like a third down back, if he can catch and passblock. Fills a need with us whiffing on Dunn and losing Vincent Smith in another year.
February 1st, 2012 at 8:36 AM ^
Wow. Not just speed, but very nice vision and quick cuts in traffic.
February 1st, 2012 at 10:53 AM ^
Only downside is that when he gets going, the maize stripes on the blue helmet might blur to a greenish haze. But I'll overlook it.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:17 AM ^
with nati, not sure they are to happy about it though.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:17 AM ^
Yes I think so ...

I believe one of the Rogers brothers was pretty good at Oregon State? he was only 5'6 or 5'7
February 1st, 2012 at 1:26 AM ^
JaQuizz or whatever. He's on the Falcons now I believe
February 1st, 2012 at 1:18 AM ^
Based on that return in the state championship game, he would become our best returner the second he hits campus. Great addition, staff!
February 1st, 2012 at 1:18 AM ^
Hows his academics and attitude? I'm just curious.
Enjoyed watching his YouTube videos.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:21 AM ^
His video says he had a 3.4 GPA. 4.39 40. All State Sprinter.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:19 AM ^
for many people that have asked, this is it! Allen Trieu has said so!
February 1st, 2012 at 1:19 AM ^
So that leaves three signing days surprises or four?
February 1st, 2012 at 1:20 AM ^
So we were hush hush just to square up with cincy after losing stacey? I see you hoke.. Only one school in ohio fucks with our recruits!
February 1st, 2012 at 1:25 AM ^
Off to bed troll.
February 1st, 2012 at 1:33 AM ^
Silence butter tool.. Im making a point about how awesome he is
February 1st, 2012 at 10:30 AM ^
Licking Meyer's sack and saying that Ohio takes our recruits (but that Cinci must pay) is making a point about how awesome Hoke is?
February 1st, 2012 at 1:21 AM ^
It's five.... Seven O'clock somewhere
>>>> Whatever i'm still getting drunk
February 1st, 2012 at 1:21 AM ^
I think this is a very exciting pick up! One thing I found interesting (ironic, maybe?) is that this switch comes a day after the Detroit News blue chip article came out and Norfleet's reason for "why not U-M" and his answer was "I didn't even get a look from Michigan." I thought that was an interesting answer when I read it Tuesday morning, but now it's a really interesting answer. Just thought that was interesting, given the timing...
