They are on a mission to…

They are on a mission to injure our players. That targeting was nasty!

Wow

BP looks like a step up already. JOK was struggling.

Much better touch on the football.

Receivers

Honestly - there were times that O'Korn had time, but didn't have any receivers who got any separation. So, while the OL has been suspect, the receivers and tight ends, in my opinion, are a more glaring problem than the OL.

Given that its a young group of receivers without any seniors to rescue this young offense, it just adds to our offensive woes. Our WR corp has never been this suspect. Even in the dark ages of Rich Rod and Hoke we have always had a stellar corp of recievers who would rescue the QB in dire situations. This year it seems different.

Ohio State

This year's OSU class was ridiculous - small but the quality. I'm sure we can pull talent at the same level.

Thats since Texas started laying an egg

I remember in the Mack Brown era, Texas used to lock up all talent in Texas before Senior year even started.

IMG is a football factory

Its crazy how they do it

What happens in Vegas

Stays in Vegas!

Didn't notice as much

But yes, seems like they have been a consistently top school.

Attack them with enthusiasm unknown to mankind.

Stop with the Najee threads already

we haven't seen a recruit get this much attention since Dee Hart

Good luck to him

Would have liked to see him in the class.

This is really scary

The talent coming in this year at OSU is crazy.

Even before he has suited up

that's a lot of confidence.

Unless you are speaking from pure rankings perspective.

Competition

when you have that much competition at a school. It's easy to get guys to compete and eliminate mistakes. You are playing against elite atheltes day in and day out.

It is a virtuous cycle.

Since the dream is to contend for NC's and beat OSU

I think we have to pick those two teams.

Sure we can have other teams in the mix. But the point of the exercise was to address the whole 'National contender' and 'Beat OSU'

Eh

You can argue the methodology

But the general guideline I went by was

- 98 = 5 star

- 95 = high 4 star

- 90 = low 4 star

Now you could have a 3 star (Khaled Hill) be a star and a 5 star (Derrick Green) flame out. But I'm guessing it evens out across all teams.

Yes we did

But we didn't have an elite QB or RB. We had an average O-LINE

Some matchups will be hard.

Also remember, we lost those three games by a combined 5 points. It's not like we got blown out. And anybody will tell you that a few calls here and there and the result moves in our favor.

Slightly higher

Not absurdly higher than Michigan though

- Michigan: 5 over 98 since 2013; Clemson 8

- Michigan: 21 over 95; Clemson 19

They have higher ceiling players. but should be about even. But the rest of the ACC is meh.

I'm surprised nobody is talking about this

But that class is one of the best in decades (if it stays).

Whats interesting is

Ohio State didn't have a down year even with the coaching change.

We also have good recruiting classes after a coaching change and then peter out towards the end of a coach's tenure. Don't know if that is a trend or was it just Hoke.

Maybe a space issue

Most of the population in NYC is in the five boroughs which are tight and cramped with little infrastructure for football.

Not saying this is a reason but may be a factor over the years.

Deep OT class?

Looks like 2017 is a deep OT class. Wilson is ranked 16th  nationally and 5th in the position - that's a scary lineup of OL

Might end up working in a pin ball machine

Just saying

His middle name 'Decommit'?

Good luck Jordan!

Impressive offer list

His offer list is filled with top programs - McLovin' it!

This

I have always struggled with this where I flip between if average matters more than total score or vice versa.

Hasn't NJ always been a good state to recruit from?

Last year we had Peppers

This year we have Gary

Before that I remember Devin Fuller

While obviously not in the league of FL/ TX - it certainly is not to be underestimated.

Not sure if Rutgers would be as effective

Michigan is awesome in all respect with the NJ connection

- Trusted local advisor (Partridge)

- Top headcoach in college football (Harbaugh)

- Great legacy and tradition in school

- Top academic and atheletic facilities

It is tough to ignore all of that.

I'm thinking WRs and DBs are somewhat interchangeable

So I'm not THAT concerned with WR abundance.

All your recruits are belong to us

Seriously - its raining NJ recruits

NJ2AA

NJ is a nice pipeline to have - many good schools and top talent come through from there.

Wait .. Kemp?

YES!!!

What time is the game?

Any live streams?

In-state kids - definitely take him

Don't want to upset schools and coaches in state

Would love to see him in the Maize and Blue

Would love to see him in the maize and blue. But good luck to the kid wherever he ends up.

Clint Brewster also

Clint Brewster also CB'ed Long to Michigan!

Sounds like he's one of the silents from the Army game Webb was talking about.

27-21 UM

go blue

Honestly we have improved every week

and we'll learn from this and move on.

I think we end top 10 and take The Game this year to end on a high. I also think we will be the only team to beat Ohio State in regular season this year.

The refereeing was atrocious

Is there like a forum to remove referees.

Also, did it seem that MSU players were too aggressive on the field after plays. I saw at least five instances of unsportsmanlike conduct that may have been called in other games.

OMG why does this happen in crunch games

They were so bad bad bad today

28-10

To the maize and blue

Definitely improvement

But I'd also attibute a lot of it to the good work by the line.

He's a bulldozer though.

Also shoutout to Sione Houma. He brings a smile everytime he touches the ball

28-17 to the good guys

28 - 17

Sweet Southern Tears

I need MOAR

I'd take Coach B anyday

over a coach who brings in 5* talent but fails to develop and harness them.

I like the modern Block M

The split M was nice ... for the 90's. Now its stale and needed a revamp - the block M addresses that.

Oreo

reminds me of childhood and growing up.

Hydrox reminds me of filthy money guzzling, no good imitators.

I liked the Denard brand of QB

even though he made two mind-numbing throws every game, he more than made up for it.

If NFL means the game is evolving into more Denard'esque - sign me up! That said maybe Denard's QB skills don't necessarily translate well in the top echelons of football.

Jaedong

I'd pick Jaedong over MC anyday

Aww - sucketh

but good luck to him.

How many schollies do we have for 2016?

I'm assuming it will be a 25+ class with normal attrition. Under or over?
