Harbaugh meets the Pope, presents him with gifts
It happened. Looking forward to David Turnley's pictures of this exchange.

Maybe we'd finally get a call against OSU

of course we would--Jesus specifically addressed this when he said "the gates of HELL shall not prevail against you", nor their poopéd coolers.
Not unless we get the referees loyal to Stanford...
Get it? Stanford? Cardinal?
I'll show myself out....
Harbaugh should be the next Dos Equis guy, he really is the most interesting man in the world.

Not sure what the holy father thinks about overpriced shoes produced through exploiting cheap labor, but surely the Michigan helmet is met with approval.
has distinguished boys and girls basketball programs, though the girls have won more state tiles. Think of them as a Catholic HS version of UConn. Anyway, the teams are known as the "Popes" and "Lady Popes," respectively.
76th and Bluemound
They tend to be pretty good at crossing over.
I think you'd have to go with the somewhat humorous angle. If you went serious (along the lines of "a gift fit for royalty") you'd probably turn a lot of people off.
I think it'd be a great commercial around Christmas (since he's the Pope) - ::Don Draper voice:: - "What do you get for the person who's really hard to buy for? Easy."
Yes I sure do hope they use the Pope to make a few more bucks. All in the name of profit!
He'll just meet with Satan himself.

I was gonna go with Coach K on that one. Better fit.

Pitino doesn't have a reflection...
Does WBC have any 5-star recruits?

Got to get those Kentucky recruits
I'm guessing that, after Harbaugh left, His Holiness asked his assistants: "(n)ow who exactly is that charming crazy man who gave me the funny hat? I already have plenty of funny hats, but none so shiny!"
Nice encounter - shame that Pope Francis is unlikely to have a man cave, given that he lives in a modest Vatican apartment.
What actually happens to the enormous amounts of gifts the Pope receives? I'm curious to know where that helmet and shoes will end up.
They have all the papal gifts for resale, plus they have tiny music playing during business hours.
STP reference. I like it.
Played by the world's smallest violin?

yeah, like five or four times
You have to believe that a Catholic Michigan fan would pay a ton of cash for a Michigan Helmet signed by Harbaugh and the Pope. Tom Monahan would probably pay a $100,000 or more.
Cool stuff, but I couldn't make out any details very well from the video.
If Jim Harbaugh didn't literally hand the Pope a football, video or no video, this didn't happen.
I just heard a media interview of Harbaugh after meeting the Pope. I'm a total heathen, but I was very moved listening to Harbaugh talk about his meeting and what it meant to him personally. You get a view into Harbaugh's soul that isn't often seen.

want to be a college coach.
did they drink milk together?
Seriously - would there be anyone else better suited to be the first greeter of alien life than Jim MF'in Harbaugh? And our batshit crazy nutcase would look completely normal doing it!

To top this, Harbaugh would have to find Elvis alive and convince him to come to the next Signing of the Stars.
Great episode, especially what comes after this....
"Good morning, madam, I've come to read your poet."
"He's in the cupboard under the stairs"
"What is it? a Swinburne? Shelley?"
"No, it's a Wordsworth."
"Ahhh, bloody daffodils."
