You win. Congrats to Gallon!
Nice avatar.
Congrads Jermey!! Great QB tossing you the pigskin!
Best place to go. They're used to getting value out of Michigan late picks.
Hopefully he carves himself a Welker-sized niche in New England. They've shown they can do a lot with a smaller sure handed guy. I think Gallon will prove to perform better than his draft position would suggest
After deleting all of the Gallon threads save for this one, I will say that he should be an exciting and interesting addition to that offense, at least in my opinion. Again, very nice to see Wolverines getting this sort of recognition and a shot at a career at the pro level. It is subjective, of course, but I had a feeling someone would take Gallon - he could be producitive in a lot of schemes and on several teams.
Pretty cool!
He's basically 2nd in command in New England and is probably familiar with Gallon's exploits. May have suggested Gallon to his management as a solid end-of-draft pick? /baselessspeculation
Go Jeremy! Make the NFL forget about Wes Welker!
because Indiana isn't on the schedule.
get drafted so he could pick his spot. I think this would be one of the best places for him to be. Congrats to Jermey and may it be a long and prosperous career.
for Tom Brady!
Brady is going to make Gallon a solid NFL player, no question.
He'll get a shot to contribute in the return game as well.
I'm really looking forward to see this develop, remember, the Pats now run that no-huddle offense...Gallon obviously has experience in Rich Rod's version of that.
Really excited for Gallon.
golf clap, yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
5'7" but plays like he's 5'9". Very happy for him. Eisen said Jeremy Gallon will be a dependable target for Brady.
Hint: draft him late or grab him right away off waivers for fantasy.
Nice.
Congrats Gallon. I remember reading about him in a Michigan preview magazine in 2009 in the "recruits to watch for in the future" section.
Indeed.
The NE offense is a great fit for him. Can't wait to see Tom and Jeremy shred up the NFL.
Bunch sets perfect for a smaller receiver who is a good route runner; hard to get jammed off the snap.
Good opportunity for Gallon!
"Hey! We got a WR from my alma mater! Whaddya say Gronk?!"
What on earth....
That is hysterical.
Double post...I'll add that he should have a decent QB throwing to him.
Awesome news. As a Pats fan, I don't believe there was a better place for him to go. Should have a really good chance to make the roster and compete for the 3rd WR spot from day 1.
so excited... that's my team.
Congrats Jeremy!!
Well-deserved, Gallon. Now go make the most of this.
Now that Lonnie Ballentine (surely a Capricorn like Billy Ray) has finished the 7th round, we can look at the '09 class next to its predecessors.
There were five players drafted from the class. This is the most since the '04 class. Notice that the numbers for '03, '07, and '08 are inflated by guys who transferred elsewhere and prospered enough to get a draft-day phone call. (Trivia: '03 could include a guy, Clayton Richard, who made the pros in another sport.)
'03 [6]: Burgess, Crable, Hall, Long, [Mundy], Woodley
'04 [5]: Arrington, Branch, Hart, Henne, Trent
'05 [3]: Manningham, Mesko, Taylor
'06 [4]: Brown, Graham, Mouton, Schilling
'07 [4]: (Clemons), Hemingway, (Mallet), Molk
'08 [2]: (Cox), Martin
'09 [5]: Campbell, Gallon, Lewan, Robinson, Schofield
Can't wait to see him do this Belichick
that put him over the top.
haha this is awesome! Almost as awesome as when they sang together :)
