Freddy Canteen & Jaron Dukes not on roster, at spring practice

Submitted by Wolverine Devotee on

Was mentioned as one of the transfer options to clear up scholarship space on Rivals a couple months ago.

So Freddy Canteen's not here, or on the roster anymore.

I'm a lil surprised about Canteen always hoped he would find his way at slot, the writing was on the wall though when Harbaugh put him at Corner. Dukes was a no brainer that no one wanted to say publicly.

But next year, when Lewis, Stribling and Clark are gone, we will be thin and inexperienced.  Hill and Long will hopefully be up to snuff quickly, but Watson has never done a thing.

helped CB depth with quality. Long and Hill are 2 of the top 10 at CB - and that's in addition to Lewis, Strib, Clark and Watson who are all capable for this fall. Peppers can play nickel, so not sure an 8th guy in Freddy is needed for the fall. Hopefully Wahington is figuring it out with his length and speed. Really wonder about Dawson's rank in the pack. Safety is the position that needs some depth - and the thought of a frosh playing there is risky in general and really risky in Brown's D given the aggressiveness in the front 7.

I'm curious as to whether Mgobloggers think these "medical retirements" are SEC type we don't want you anymore and need scholarships or are legit. Obviously we don't know the extent of the injuries, but we seem to blow a gasket whenever someone else does it (myself included).

... One it these players. And sad to say, cuz I love what Harbaugh has and will bring, but he's telling these guys they have to go. Get used to this guys because this is the new way around here.
