1 year 18 weeks ago	Met him..	Met him at a small house get-together with less than 5 peeps in the room. He is definitely as nice as he comes across. He introduces himself to everyone.  He's never had a 'drink' in his life and is all smiles.  He truly LOVES Michigan and his time in AA.  Lets enjoy him while we can because he is a special Michigan Man, and will go down as one of our greatest ever players and persons.

1 year 28 weeks ago	From a Cass Tech Alum	I graduated from Cass Tech. I played football for CT. I ran track for Coach Wilcher and keep in touch with him to this day. I also went to Michigan on an academic scholarship. Graduated from the school of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering, and have my masters in the same field. From my point of view, letters like this are unfortunate, misinformed and also make it even sweeter that we won the way we did! On an annual basis, CT ACCEPTS students who qualify with grades from middle school AND who take a test to get in. From the time freshmen enroll at CT to the time they graduate, 33% of the class is lost due to not keeping up with the academic standards at CT. Is there a problem with DPS? Yes. And there are many issues with many public school systems in big cities around the USA. Even though the letter pisses me off, I'd rather beat them with kindness, and let them know that I recently attended my high school reunion, and I'd put my graduation class' success and credentials against any other school in Michigan. Go CT (State Champs from the DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOL)! Go Blue! Shawn

2 years 8 weeks ago	Sorry...Brian is wrong once again! And he obviously wont let it.	go... To say the former players are 'fans' just like anyone else is disrespectful and just wrong.  How the hell do any of us fans (and alumni like myself) or a blogger think he/she knows more about what happens within the program than the players and former players who walk into the facilities, know the coaches, etc. I know a lot of footballers personally NOW and PAST and have many greats in my phone book, and the truth hurts. It is what it is. RR came in and did it 'HIS WAY' and did NOT embrace the tradition. PERIOD! This is not Maryland. This is not WV. This is the winning PROGRAM IN THE HISTORY OF COLLEGE FOOTBALL. And if you do not do those things, and listen to people / former players nad coaches to begin to embrace them , and be stubborn about it (RR), then you turn thosep players and former players off. Stop crying about RR, and stop hating on the former players!!!  If you love RR so damn much start a new blog that loves his new school..which will be something like Tulane or NCState or Pitt. GO BLUE, GO HOKE and I am a fan of all the former players (well..except Drew Henson who left us stinking that year)! sjw

2 years 10 weeks ago	FLAT OUT!!!	I know this from VERY VERY RELIABLE SOURCES IN THE PROGRAM: RR forced Schaeffer to run the 3-3-5 against Purdue in 2008 and it was doom. Schaeffer refused to run the 3-3-5, so RR ran him out..and Schaeff is doing great at Syracuse now. RR hired a newly FIRED Gerg, and told him if he wanted a job, to come and run the 3-3-5. He did, and it was the worst ever!!! Period. That is why Gerg NEVER did post game interviews, cuz he had nothing good to say, and couldnt stand by this defense. Horrible situation for all!! and it was all RR's fault.  no, ONWARD AND UPWARD with a new staff that knows that defense wins championships! sjw
2 years 12 weeks ago	dude..	you are assuming a lot of sh*t. and you ARE dogging the coach because HE IS THE ONE who recruited these players.  you are not a real fan of florida bball.  i am a Michigan Man, class of 96, and i live and die with my team..if i had a coach who had 2 ncaa championship rings and is consistantly ranked in the top 25 with THAT 'type' of player, i'd be happy as hell. if the shot was made, you would be ready for the Final 4. but no, all you can think of is the 'type' of players.  these are 18-22 yr old kids playing their hearts out! they have done more for that school than any wishy washy fan who wants to criticize a 'type' of player that has won championships. shame on you. next time, take a deep breath, and relax before putting a post up like this.  i'm done.
