U-M athletics already tied its modern era 1992-93 record for Big Ten titles won

Both are at 7 officially sanctioned Big Ten titles. I didn't bother to look back prior to 1981-82 when Big Ten didn't sponsor women's sports, because odds are, because of that, no year would have more than that

But anyway, the current athletic year these 7 championships (Men's Basketball, Field Hockey, Men's Gymnastics, Softball, Men's Swimming & Diving, Men's and Women's Tennis), which is equal to arguably the pinnacle era of Michigan athletics in 1992-93 (they got Women's Cross Country, Football, Women's Gymnastics, Women's Outdoor Track & Field, Softball, Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving)

What's amazing is that we still have 4 championships left in the Big Ten to crown this year (Men's and Women's Outdoor Track & Field, Women's Rowing and Baseball)

Are we expected to win any of the remaining titles? I thought baseball was in the hunt, but wouldn’t have a clue on the others...

You mentioned that in 1992-93 there was a “Big Ten championship in football.”

What is this mythical thing you speak of? Did you make that up? Is that a real thing?

It's the other football championship, the one that you win when you're #1 overall in the final poll taken of ten people who are regular subscribers to the Toledo Blade (or some other midsize paper). If I am not mistaken, the trophy is carved from a used tire found near Middlebury, Indiana.

Women's Rowing BT Championships: May 16 @ Indianapolis (not televised)

M/W Outdoor T&F Championships: May 14-16 @ Champaign (BTN+)

Baseball: Michigan (23-12) is currently in third place behind Indiana (23-10) and Nebraska (23-11), ahead of Iowa and Maryland tied at 21-14.

No idea how good our rowing and T&F teams are
