Fox Releases Michigan Commercial
Fox released commercials for all of the B1G teams today. Say what you will about Fox's coverage of football, but they did a really nice job with all of these. They're narrated by Michael Kelly (Doug Stamper from House of Cards).
Not really newsworthy, but it's a slow day. The Michigan one got me way too hyped.
Will embed the Michigan one in the first comment below.

Michael Kelly aka Doug Stamper.
Saw him getting a salad at Chopt in NYC last year.

Short and sweet - that was really cool!

That's pretty cool.
Early yet, but my initial impression is that Fox is stepping up their attention to college football this season, sensibly given their increased investment. At least, the promos suggest this.

I hope so.
ESPN clearly has other priorities.

Pretty sweet video!
Also - LOL about the Rutgers, Purdue, Maryland, Illinois, Northwestern, and Indiana videos being 10 sec less than everyone else.

Dedicating 20 seconds to hype Rutgers should be worth some type of academy award.

Is that Doug Stamper with the voice-over?

Loved that video. TBH, all the ones I watched were pretty good. Good ideas, great execution.

That video got me legitimately excited.
I WANT FOOTBALL.

Michigan is the best, of course, but those all were very well done. Amped!

Is that shot of the stadium at the end a legit picture from a helicopter or something...

They were all well done, so I have to credit Fox for that, but the Michigan one is the best. Chewing its foot off so it can still come after you? No matter how many degrees below zero and outnumbered? And that shot of the Big House at the end... Love it!
Still, they deserve much credit for finding something for Rutgers and Kelly should get an Academy Award for his performance. His voice never cracked with laughter, even in the slightest!

Rashan Gary is fast AF.
And that scene with the big house at the end was brillant.

If it's the latter, I'm winning Powerball and buying that land.

but from a blimp/drone/object in the air. Definitely not any land that high near the stadium. Barely any land that high in the entire state.

SInce all the videos were very mascot based, I was excited to hear them hype a nut. Sadly they realzied it would be too silly to even attampt :(

I liked it. I may be out of the loop, but has Mello posted Michigan hype videos yet?

Very nice.
I wasn't aware that anyone had major issues with Fox's college football coverage. They're much better than ESPN. Also, Gus Johnson works there. That guy could make a turtle race seem exciting.

Outside of Michigan's (for biased reasons probably), Minnesota is by far my favorite. I may also be biased to Fargo references.
August 24th, 2017 at 9:29 AM ^
Agreed. I thought they were pretty creative, and the Minn one was definitely up there.

Great video. Anyone else notice the first few frames didn't have the correct helmet though???

I thought that was another team running away from Michigan.
August 24th, 2017 at 9:07 AM ^
I liked ours.
I also liked Iowa's, Purdue's, and Michigan State's.

I thought the Michigan one delivered the most "hype up" feel. Second only to my fave ever UM/OSU "Without sports this wouldn't be disgusting" commercial.
