If we lose out, is there a possibility of missing the tourney? Already 6 B1G teams ahead of us...

From what I've been hearing, we are relatively safe. MSU is the B1G 10 team that seems to be at the largest risk to miss the tourney. Belien made an interesting comment the other day when he said he's still unsure of how the team will respond to the NU loss. I fear an emotional letdown to end the season is our biggest threat right now.

Seriously doubt it.  We're a 9.  Lose to Nebraska and we're still a 9 or at worst a high 10.  Lose in the BTT we might drop to an 11 but it won't be a play-in 11.  We're safe.

Still, the best thing to do is to win out and win the BTT so we can be sure.  :)

Best thing is to get on a roll and keep winning. Often times the hot team wins the NCAA tourney. We certainly could have won both Minnesota and Northwestern, but not too many people would've predicted we were going to beat both Wisconsin and for New so I guess maybe that evens out. They're 18 to 22, and not playing 82 games. Fatigue shouldn't be a problem. I'd rather win the Big Ten tournament if I had my druthers.

What is final about this? The regular seaon is not over. Most of these are updated daily and there are 2 days of games left before the BTT.

And... Rutgers beats Illinois. Guess Palm is going to have to change things.

is how much each game means to the teams that play them. Rutgers is only playing out the string but because of what time of year it is they play their hearts out, come back from 10 down, and beat the Ilini. That place erupted like they were the ones going to the big dance. Next to Christmas I don't know if there is another 'most wonderful time' of the year.

I was referring to the people who feel Michigan is going to have to sweat it out selection Sunday. I think they look good as of right now, especially if Xavier and MSU lose today. The odds of getting to the sweet 16 are higher for 10/7 seeds than 8/9 seeds.

from the NW loss (from me at least) was the missed opportunity to get a quality road win and move further up the S-curve.  Would have been sitting in an ever-attractive 7 seed spot right now, with a chance to possibly move up.

I don't care about just making the tourney.  I want to advance and I think this team has the taent and experience to make a run.  It'll be frustrating if we're sitting on the 8/9 line which is really tough to advance from.

Also, losing in that way - missing a shot that should have been the last of the game only to get bombed for a full court TD under 2 seconds - is frustrating in and of itself.

Totally agree that panic about not making the tourney is a bit hysterical at this point.

Hoping to see some nice development before the Tourney. But if we get blown out against Nebraska and the first BTT game, we are still in. No doubt.

Thinking back to the Michigan-Minnesota game. If they used the same standard for today's game as they did for ours, Izzo would have about 10 technical fouls already. What an asshole.

This game and the Illinois/Rutgers game earlier today ended how I wish the Northwestern game ended. They both were tied in the closing seconds with a chance at the game winning shot, they didn't really attempt to set anything up and just tried a 3 with 1 second left on the clock and both got them...while Irvin obviously didn't.

Staee should be out. What a fuckin joke. How come Michigan can't get anyone in any of these committees? It is a fuckin conspiracy.
