Denard tribute
I was hoping to post this on a happier note. But it's still relevant.

Looking it over, I'm really not pleased with some of the quality. Especially since some parts seem choppy. I'm going to have to finally learn how to do HD before next season.

for your upgrade to HD next season? I know I'd contribute. You're performing some major public service for the community.

Thanks but there's no need for that. I have HD now. I think I still need to get a DVR to transfer footage. Even so, there's already several folks on YouTube who do current highlights anyway. So it's not dire.
I do still get weird looks at Rite Aid when buying VHS tapes.

I feel like it was just yesterday, watching this freshman QB "Denard Robinson" come in against Western Mich. and run for that TD

Looking at where the program was at then and where it is now, it had to be at least 10 seasons ago.

The commentary against UConn on that one TD is my favorite. "That's six."

My 5 year old son keeps asking me when we can go to another game. I say "In about 8 months" every time, and every time he says "Will Denard Robinson be there?"

We were pretty damn lucky to get to watch this for 4 years.
Thanks for this, WH. Watched, will watch again.

Bittersweet, knowing that I've seen the last of what I believe will be the most exciting Michigan player of our lifetimes.

I cringe to think of next years offense without Denard. It is akin to losing Woodson after the 97 season. A player that could single handedly decide the outcome of a game. I do not think his impact is going to be fully felt until next fall.

Couldn't make it past the 2 minute mark before deciding it's too early to watch this. I remember being a sophmore and watching that western michigan game. I remember after first snap thinking "wow, well that guy can run"

EVERYONE LISTEN UP!!... I MAY NOT HAVE MUCH TIME LEFT AND MY WIFE DOESN"T KNOW HOW TO DO THIS FOR ME. SINCE I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO START A NEW THREAD I TOLD HER. SINCE I WILL PROBABLY NOT MAKE IT ANOTHER YEAR WITH MY CONDITION... I TOLD HER TO WRITE (IN ALL CAPS).. EVEN THOUGH THIS MICHIGAN TEAM DID NOT WIN THE GAME... This team in the future (#134 and beyond) will be a true Coach Hoke team. Rally behind these gentlemen and root for these players. They will win a big 10 championship and make it to the Rose Bowl. Don't give up. Never give up. Coach Hoke has been building a promising team. I expect 2013 to be a big year. I want you all to expect the same. God bless... Reach for everything you believe in and reach for the stars. Love everyone you are close with and GO BLUE!!... Damn it.. GO BLUE!! and GOD BLESS!!

... just seeing Denard in a cap and gown, flashing that huge smile and holding a diploma is going to make me feel all is right with the world.

Thanks for posting this, WH. Watched the whole thing through, and it's a great walk down memory lane.
It's been a while since I rooted for a player like I did for Denard. At some point I grew up, played ball myself and learned that football was truly a team game. Unfortunately I also learned that some of the guys on the TV could be absolute brats, too. I stopped believing in superheroes. I'm a grown-ass man now, but Denard made me root like a little five year old again. As silly as this is for me to say as someone who graduated before he enrolled at Michigan, Denard was like watching a superhero.
I'm sad to see him take off the winged helmet and the maize and blue, and I'm sad how his senior year felt a bit underwhelming. I'm going to miss watching him on Saturdays, and seeing him singing "The Victors" after a win with a smile on his face.
But I'm also excited for him to prove everybody wrong and light up the NFL. Good luck, Shoelace.

and Denard might be my favorite one of all. I feel really blessed to have been able to watch him at the Big House for the last 4 years. Thanks Denard and good luck in the NFL!
