Dumars is a joke.  The

Dumars is a joke.  The Pistons and Lions are embarrassing franchises.  They're both dead to me.

Burke was in Dumars' backyard and he had the opportunity to take the longest, most thorough look at a future pro player.  When Burke excels in the league, Dumars will have had no excuse.

I have no idea who's on Utah or what path Burke needs to take to be successful, but I know that he will be a great pro player.  He has the drive to be better and not settle for mediocrity.  He proved this by playing on a great team, against great teams, on the highest stage available to him.  If Dumars wants to "build something" by bringing in guys used to mediocrity, let him do it with another team.

Eye test is over-rated.  The

Eye test is over-rated.  The league is about wins.  Period.  The Broncos passed the eye test last year at QB but won exactly as many playoff games as the Lions.

I hope he lands on his feet somewhere.  I actually enjoyed watching the Bronco's run when he was there.

"Or valued a DC more than a

"Or valued a DC more than a S&C coach and equipment."

Your hatred of Rich Rodriguez is on par with mine of the current Tiger's coach, so I get that it's possible to make empassioned, illogical, poorly thought out comments at times, because I do, but this is the stupidest comment I've seen.

This is more on the AD.  The same people that think it's a cost-save to retrieve foul balls from kids in stands at UM beisbol games, thought it was a good idea to not put money into the facilities or staff.

They're still taking foul balls from kids, but at least they've upgraded the pay and facilities.

Damn double post.

For what it's worth, I also like Albuquerque...

Brian Wilson time!!

Brian Wilson time!!

Cornballer

I don't know what this is and am more than a little afraid of googling it at work....

Michigan made millions off

Michigan made millions off the Fab 5.  Not flying a banner hardly gives the program the high ground.

I'd love to see Webber do whatever it takes to reconcile, but it takes two to tango.  Michigan chooses not to fly any banners honoring the Fab 5 accomplishments.  That's a UM thing and has nothing to do with NCAA restrictions.  The first move can be made by either side, so I'm not singling Webber with all of the blame for where things stand.

Bullshit.  You DID bash

Bullshit.  You DID bash him.

His "ego" and "hubris" gave us Denard.  His "system" also gave us Lewan.

I think Rodriguez will be successful, but the bottom line is, Brady Hoke knows Michigan, has full support from every aspect of the program and fan base, and has a much better recruiting system / staff.

Classic.  Can't wait to see

Classic.  Can't wait to see what the Maize Rage does with this!

Been watching him for a while.  He may not be done growing; his dad was 6' 11".  His dad also played pro ball (in France) for 11 years.

Really happy for Rick and his parents.

Yet another quality player and person for Coach B.

Welcome to the Michigan family, Rick!

Go Blue!!

Blah. Blah. Blah.

I have never even remotely felt better ripping my team after a bad loss, but go ahead, if that's your thing.

Adoree...

....how would you like to do that at Michigan in the #2 jersey?

"If he is sorry, run the

"If he is sorry, run the table, have the team play hustle defense, etc."

While Tim himself can hustle more and improve defensively, he doesn't control "running the table".  Congrats on being realistic.

Capitalizing "me" makes your comment sound whiny, needy and selfish.  Maybe it's just ME.

Best response yet.

This team played, not just 4

This team played, not just 4 games in 11 days, but 4 brutally physical games.  These games weren't played against the soft underbelly of the Big Ten, and none of the losses were to Illinois or Iowa.  This team is exhausted right now and probably more disappointed in their performance than any of the "fans" ripping them; who haven't spent one minute practicing, preparing or playing for the actual team.

This loss, on the heels of the Badger mugging, is ass-flavored horribleness.  Don't take it out on our team.  Let's just sit back and enjoy the ride and see where it takes us.

Two things...

1) Winning takes care of everything.  I can only imagine the kind of "dogs-and-cats-living-together" fanstorm that would have occurred had he been a signee three years ago...

2)  He is basically an OSU reject (no offer, no interest) with UM as his best offer, but that DID work out pretty well for the basketball program, and Trey.

"The coaches could have

"The coaches could have called him prior to offering Speight WITHOUT telling them that Speight was getting the offer."

Really?  Why?  Why would coaches tell their second or third choices they aren't getting an offer prior to making sure their first target is on board?

Dumbest thing I've seen on these boards today.

Not sure why the assclowns

Not sure why the assclowns thought your post was trolling.  So far it seems the most logical one of the thread....

Dude, those berries are insane!

I must have missed that, too.

Based on what he said this morning, he "knew" Green was Blue in November.

I thought Dawson also just said that taking visits helped take his mind off of some of the personal pain he was going through.  There are some "Michigan fans" that owe him an apology.

"unwatchable"

I love this team and love up and down high energy games, but I also loved watching the Bad Boys and appreciate games where each possession is "valuable".

I don't mind watching teams get after it on defense.  OT in this last game didn't have a ton of baskets, but I wouldn't call it "unwatchable", yeah?

Normally agree with you, but

Normally agree with you, but I have nothing but respect for Craft.  He and Burke left everything on the floor in this game.

Dan Samuelson

So soft spoken, reminds me of Spielman....then he drops a "I like to give people shots to the face." and there goes coffee all over the monitor.

I love this kid already.  This class is just outstanding.

I loved watching his

I loved watching his dad...great memories.  I'm excited to see a 2nd generation Wolverine and wish nothing but the best for Jack in his Michigan career!

"that he didn't immediately

"that he didn't immediately confess that he was duped when asked about his non-existent-girlfriend before the bowl game?"

Imagine how long you'd wait if dude really knew it was a dude.  Not that there's anything wrong with that.

"Damn, dude, thats a dude, dude!"

Ours?

Sorry, I'm not going there with the whole "he's ours" crap.  He did some great things in a Michigan uniform, but has sense excommunicated himself by disparaging Bo.  That last part means he'd dead to me unless he does a 180 on his comments.

He can't be "ours" and say his first choice was Stanford all along.

I'll dismiss his comments as "posturing" for Stanford when Harbaugh himself does.

Would this piece have been written if Harbaugh had gone to the NFL and freaking sucked?  Nope.  So forgive me if I don't feel the same way about him simply because he's a "great coach" right now.

Thank you for posting.

Phenomenal video.

Anyone who can't just simply appreciate Denard, and what he's meant to this team, and this staff, is broken.  Period.

The memories Denard's given me are already some of the finest Michigan memories I have.

"It would be easy for Al to

"It would be easy for Al to think an offense is about him, but Al, in my opinion, did a phenomenal job ...."

I like Hoke, but I've always thought his choice of words when describing Denard was less then tremendous.  He has no problem praising Borges as phenomenal, but there has always seemed to be a caution or hesitancy to use superlatives with Denard...curious to me.

Anyway, water under the bridge I guess.  I'll do my best to make up for the lack of superlative description of Denard by Hoke and Co.!

For the record, I think the word "grace" when describing how Denard handled this season was, and is, perfect.

Hoke owes Denard

Maybe Denard "frustrated" the coaches, but they owe a lot of "patience from the fans" to Denard for staying.  A lot of experts were whispering that he should have left when the new staff was announced, but he stayed, and was hugely responsible for the team's record in that first season.

To me, Denard will always be one of the greatest people to ever don a Michigan uniform.

Tremendestanding!

I'm still high from the announcement.

Hearing Taylor in the presser on the way to work this AM and now this?

Almost too much sweet M-goodness to handle all at once...

Sorry!

Repost.

Thank you, Taylor.

I thank you, Devin and Shane thank you, and my son is wondering why my eyes were watering when I bear-hugged him!

Wonderful tribute to a truly

Wonderful tribute to a truly wonderful person.  I hope Denard sees this.

Thank you, Denard.

Thank you for leaving family and home to spend 4 years with us in the frigid north.  Thank you for staying when you could have left.  Thank you for the class, humility and joy you brought each and every time that you interacted with us.  Thank you for the excitement and anticipation that something special was about to happen every game, every time you touched the ball.  Thank you for never changing who you are in 4 years:  your smile, humbleness, and poise with which you played the game are forever ingrained in my family's Michigan football memories.

We wish you the best at whatever you next choose to do in life.

Thank you, #16.

"I suppose you're not happy

"I suppose you're not happy unless your QB and RB combine for a 300-200 day?"

I don't know a single Michigan fan, personally, that is 'happy' after the bowl game.  But to address your comments, I'm always going to prefer that all players are used to their maximum potential.  If you're happy with the offensive output, and feel that's their cap, I respect your opinion.

I think we've had better offensive numbers in the past and haven't been overwhelmed by our coaching staff in general this year.

I thought the team played extremely hard, and was proud of the players.

Thank you.

Thank you so much for putting this together and posting it.  I tried, but cannot watch it yet.

Agree 100%.

Beilein's staff is collectively and individually awesome and a huge factor in how this team plays.

A lot of great kids have been brought in and, IMHO, Coach B's biggest recruit won't be known until their careers are over at Michigan and in full swing at the next level.  I can see GR III blowing up in the NBA and impacting future UM recruits.

Your avatar sells that line

Your avatar sells that line perfectly.

Now I need to wipe off my computer screen...

" I can't bring myself to say

" I can't bring myself to say Hoke would sit Denard"

Didn't they just sit him for an entire quarter against Ohio?

The hate is strong with this

The hate is strong with this one.

I liked Rodriguez before he

I liked Rodriguez before he came here and still do.  I enjoyed watching them beat USC this year.

I am grateful that he had the vision, and confidence, to bring one of the classiest, most electrifying football players ever to Michigan.

Great bit on ESPN!

Such a great movie, so many lines...

"Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." has always been my favorite and the first thing I think of when I hear "Princess Bride".

I can't remember the exact words, but loved the part where the giant is whining that it's not fair fighting one guy since he's used to fighting "packs of men".  LOL

"or wait on a kid who wavers

"or wait on a kid who wavers on an offer all the way until signing day?"

Waiting on Pryor left Michigan with Sheridan and Threet.

"but for those 5 star studs

"but for those 5 star studs you have got to make an exception"

No you don't.

Those are my exact thoughts

Those are my exact thoughts every time I see Captain Petrol break out of his spaceman stare, waddle to the mound, and blow a save.

If his new super agent doesn't price his starter-confidence-killing ass out of here next year, I will be unable to watch a single game after the 8th inning.

^^^ This I care

^^^ This I care about.

Points, not so much.

To hell with Notre Dame!

Wasn't Brandon handed an envelope by the ND AD with this announcement in it just before this last game?

Pimp Hand needs to open next year's game at midfield by announcing that THIS is the last game, here, in Ann Arbor, in 2013, and that ND will be replaced in 2014 by Appalachian State.

After that, schedule home and homes with mostly west and south teams like Georgia and UCLA.  I wouldn't mind going to Norman to watch a game.

I'm so sick of ND.

"Al Borges has shown an

"Al Borges has shown an unheard-of willingness to adapt his offense to Denard's skills than most offensive coordinators would."

So you're saying, most OCs would use Denard like Borges is using him?

Riiiight.
