That's weird. It was at 2:54 and 3:04 for me when I watched it on my macbook.
|6 days 9 hours ago||I couldn't believe it either||
I have always hit my R9 high. It promotes high spin rates and the R15 tries to limit spin rates. My spin rate was like 3200 rpm with my R9 and a launch angle of like 15 degrees. The R15 I had a spin rate of about 1400 and launch angle of 13 degrees. A good swing with my R9 I would hit it about 290. My miss hits with the R15 were going 305, and good swings with the R15 were going between 320 and 330 yards.
If it's ever a windy day, it was impossible for me to hit my R9 into the wind or with a strong crosswind with my really high spin rates. The ball flight now isn't going to be bothered by the wind nearly as much and I was way more consistent with it. I'm relieved I finally went out looking for a new driver this year to say the least. The difference it makes still doesn't seem real to me.
It is very compatible too. You can make so many adjustments to it to make sure it's perfect for your swing. If you are in the market for a driver, definitely go give it a shot and see for yourself.

I can't offer any insight on your irons. I bought my set of new Taylormade R9 TP irons quite a few years ago and love them. So I haven't bothered to even try out any iron sets for quite some time now.
But I just went out looking for a new driver this year and after trying out every new driver, I liked the Taylormade R15 (460cc head) the best. So then I started tweaking it and after hitting it for a bit I couldn't let myself walk out the door without it. It made my spin rate about 40% what it was with my old driver (Taylormade R9 430cc head), and my miss hits with the R15 would go 15 yards farther than a perfect hit with my R9. When I hit the R15 flush, it goes 30 to 40 yards farther than my R9 would on a good swing. I couldn't believe how big of a difference 6 years of technology advancements made.
So if anyone is in the market for a new driver this year, I recommend giving it a look. Personally, I've never hit a different brand of club better than Taylormade. Taylormade is the superior club manufacturer in my books, and I have a hard time buying anyting else. I always give other brands a shot, and they never perform up to the standards of Taylormade for me.
Edit: I second everyone's opinion about getting fitted for any clubs you buy though. A club that fits your body and swing makes a world of difference.

Definitely should have took your advice and read it over lunch. It takes a lot to get to me, and I couldn't contain myself while reading this. Hell of a story. Now I need to go take a walk or something so that I can focus on getting some work done sometime this morning.

Traveling back to Michigan from Nebraska for 6 days over Easter weekend. Fly back on Friday, Spring game on Saturday, opening day in Detroit on Monday, and fly back on Wednesday after spending some time with the family. Looking forward to a much needed break from work, and some good Michigan craft beers that are way too hard to come by out here.

Referencing the UNC team that beat Illinois "a few years ago" was actually a decade ago. Pretty crazy to think about. It doesn't seem that long ago to me at all.

Real Seafood and Black Pearl are both good, but pricey options on Main St. But I'd take Real Seafood over Black Pearl. I've really enjoyed every meal I've ever ordered at Real Seafood.

I'm traveling back home this weekend and plan to go to the Spring game on Saturday, and then I plan on going to opening day in the D on Monday for my first opening day experience. Anyone have any tips for opening day? Do bars open earlier? If so, how early? When is a good time to get to Detroit? Good places to drink at? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I just moved to Omaha not too long ago.. It gave the honor to Dinker's, although it mentions Stella's as being good in the discussion. I've yet to make my way to Dinker's, but it'll be very difficult to top the burger at Stella's. Stella's could make a case for the best burger I've ever had. My coworker says Stella's is the best. Going to have to make my way to Dinker's soon and see if this list got it right or not.

|12 weeks 3 days ago||What calls specifically did you have a problem with?||
I'm a Green Bay fan, but have several friends who are Detroit fans, and they all seem to think Detroit got hosed by officiating yesterday. As a Green Bay fan, I feel like I must be biased since I didn't think they were that bad. One terrible call was overturning the 2 point conversion. I'll be the first to admit that there is no way they should have overturned that. But even if they don't overturn it, Detroit still needed a miracle to just tie the game. I wouldn't say it was a great officiating job by any means, but I don't think it was bad and cost the Lions the game. I thought Green Bay was the better team that deserved to win, and that nothing the refs did changed the final result of the game.
One other thing I could see is that on the punt return for a TD, people wanted holding calls. But I saw plays on other kick returns where I thought they let similar things go in the Lions favor. Refs can't see every call. They miss calls every game. I just have a hard time seeing how Lion's fans can say the refs are the only reason Green Bay won yesterday. And I'm probably really biased when it comes to that, because in my mind nothing will ever be worse than Green Bay getting screwed out of a win in Seattle with the replacement refs. So I'd just like to hear a Lion's fan perspective on yesterday, and why you're convinced the Lions should have won that game if it wasn't for the refs giving the game to Green Bay.
Regardless, both teams are in the playoffs, and it's either you win the Super Bowl, or you failed on the season. If you're the best team, you can beat anybody anywhere, and both teams still have their chance to do that!

Quickie Burger on the corner of State and Hill. Good food, and good pitcher prices. Also, not an unreasonable distance to walk to Crisler if you drink a few too many beers (which I would assume will be the case tomorrow).

This is what I would have to say. The material and computational work in 217 was really easy and I understood the class, but that only accounts for maybe 20% of the course. It is nearly all proof based, and since I had never taken a proof based course before, the class was very difficult and time consuming. The average on our first exam was like a 90% (it was mostly computations), and then the 2nd exam and final had averages in the 30s. They were all proof based and graded very tough. The class was difficult, but it was curved enough to where it would have been difficult to not pass.
When it comes to 426, I lucked out with my professor. Our class had it very easy compared to other people I knew taking the class with different professors. But at the same time, the material in 426 is also proof based. So if you struggle with proofs, taking 426 and 217 together is going to make for a very long semester. If you don't mind doing proofs and are good at them, getting good grades in both of those classes will be likely since most people seem to struggle with them. I took 183, but had no interest in going on and doing 280, so I can't offer any insight on whether it's difficult or not, but definitely be prepared for a long semester of difficult homeworks and exams with 217 and 426. I split up 217 and 426, took 217 winter term sophomore year, and took 426 fall term junior year, and still thought the classes were tough.
For me personally, there is no way I would have taken a programming class the same semester as 217 and 426. Those two classes during the same semester would have been a handful for me.
Side note, when you get into your concentration requirements, I strongly recommend STATS 415. I believe it is in a category where you are required to take one or two courses out of three or four, but STATS 415 was the most worthwhile course I took at the university. Data mining is very important and getting more and more important every day. I really enjoyed the course, learned a lot, and got a good grade. I was skeptical of taking it because I was told it was one of the hardest stats classes you can take, but I didn't think it was bad at all.
|15 weeks 3 days ago||6||
6 is perfect for me. The top 2 seeds get byes, and rewarded for being the best teams all season. This gives each conference champ and one wild card a chance at the title, but makes the road a lot tougher for the 3-6 seeds by making them play an extra game to go all the way. This keeps being the best during the regular season very important. How often did you say in the past during the BCS era that you thought the 7th or 8th seed was really deserving to play in the National Championship? Yes I understand it's sports, and you play the game for a reason because anything can happen, but the beauty of college football is the huge importance of the regular season. Make a team prove all year long that they deserve a shot, and reward the two who prove the most by letting them play one less game. But I'm happy with 4. Yes it's annoying that TCU and Baylor got left out for OSU, but I wouldn't put my money on any of those 3 teams to win it all anyways. I think the best two teams are in the playoff between FSU, Bama, and Oregon, and I think we will see some great football in January.

The gaming overall has been a great experience. Probably not quite as good as the PS4 based on what I've heard, but still very enjoyable. Every system is going to have a few minor issues, and Destiny and Halo will get their bugs fixed soon. But there is much more to the Xbox than just gaming. I use my Xbox for gaming maybe 20% of the time. Maybe even closer to 10%. So it has been everything I could ask for and more for what I use my Xbox for say 85% of the time, and very good for the other 15% of the time.
I just put that second paragraph in there to make the point that the system does a phenominal job doing the things I use it for most. I sure as hell wouldn't be satisfied and recommend it to someone if I didn't think it was well worth the money that you put into them.
If you want something strictly for gaming, get a good PC. Don't waste your time with an Xbox or Playstation.
|16 weeks 3 days ago||Xbox One||
Just bought mine a couple of months ago. I made the switch from playstation when I went from the PS2 to Xbox 360 and I'll probably always buy the Xbox from here on out since I loved the 360 so much. I love my One, but I will admit it does have its bugs. The party chat seems to struggle at times (although it has seemed better as of late) and some of the better games aren't the best running games out there. Destiny is what I play most right now and it has a few issues (after the last update, when in party chat, the game lags like crazy), and I bought Halo Master Chief collection as well and that is pretty much unplayable at this point. They have a lot of bugs to fix with that. So that is disappointing.
But as an overall system and all of the features outside of gaming have been great. My Xbox is on pretty much all evening and all night and it runs smooth and quiet even after being on for 8 hours or more. I don't have the kinect and have never felt the need for it either. Unless you want to be super lazy, the kinect isn't necessary in my opinion. I don't plan on ever buying it.
Side note, if you have Xbox Live Gold, as of last night you could download Worms Battlegrounds for free. Wanna have a good time playing a free game? Play some multiplayer with some friends. It's even better while intoxicated. I'm not sure I've enjoyed my Xbox more than I did last night playing that game.
